AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask by ResMed

The ResMed AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask is one of the smallest and quietest CPAP masks on the market today. Weighing only 45 grams (1.6 oz), this mask is the industry's lightest nasal pillow CPAP mask and is a popular choice amongst new CPAP users and veterans alike. With its minimalist three-piece design, adjustable headgear and FitPack packaging, the ResMed AirFit P10 is here to simplify your sleep apnea therapy.

Machine Compatibility
The ResMed AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask is compatible with all auto-adjusting and manual CPAPs. However, a special version of the AirFit P10 is required for use with the ResMed AirMini Travel Auto CPAP. Please see the ResMed P10 AirMini Setup Pack for the AirMini compatible AirFit P10 mask.

Lightweight and Quiet
The AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask is 50% lighter than previous ResMed nasal pillows masks, enhancing comfort and making adjusting to CPAP therapy much easier. With its open-faced design, the mask minimizes facial contact, which can help alleviate any feelings of claustrophobia. This open line of sight also allows CPAP users to read or watch TV and even wear glasses.

The P10 also performs well in the noise department. ResMed's QuietAir Vent technology reduces airflow noise to just 21 decibels so you and your bed partner can sleep soundly. The woven mesh vent, located in front of the nasal pillows, gently disperses exhaled air away the user and bed partner, ensuring no one is disturbed.

User Friendly
The AirFit P10 is easy to assemble and disassemble, with only three parts that need to be cleaned regularly. The headgear and nasal pillows can be quickly detached and reattached to the mask frame, making it easy to clean and replace parts. The mask is available as a FitPack with three sizes of nasal pillows (S/M/L) that are color coded for easy differentiation.

The adjustable headgear is made from a soft, flexible fabric that is gentle on the skin and doesn't leave any marks. To achieve the perfect fit, pull the upper and lower headgear straps apart to loosen and pull them together to tighten. Pull the headgear through the QuickFit headgear clip to fix the band length once you’ve adjusted it to your liking.

Freedom to Move
The AirFit P10 features a flexi-tube that connects the mask to the CPAP hose via a 360 degree swivel. designed to be lightweight and flexible, allowing for a greater range of motion during sleep. The tube is designed to withstand regular use and movement without kinking while the swivel allows users to change sleeping positions without worrying about the hose tangling.

RespShop's Tip

The AirFit P10 also comes in a special "For Her" version designed for female CPAP users. The AirFit P10 For Her Nasal Pillow Mask features a slighter smaller headgear and XS, S and M nasal pillows.

FAQ

How often do I need to replace the AirFit P10?
The P10 mask frame, and headgear should be replaced at least every 6 months while the nasal pillows should be replaced every 2 to 3 months. We recommend replacing the nasal pillows more often than other parts because the silicone softens over time as it comes into contact with face oils and dead skin cells. This softening can compromise mask seal and negatively affect your sleep apnea therapy.

How do I clean the ResMed AirFit P10 mask?
Daily: nasal pillows
Weekly: frame, headgear, short tubing with swivel

Before cleaning, take apart the mask and soak all components in warm soapy water for up to ten minutes. Use a mild detergent that is free from harsh cleaners such as bleach. Gently scrub the woven mesh vent on the front of the mask frame with a soft bristle brush. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water before air drying away from direct sunlight. Remember to squeeze out any excess water in the headgear before laying it flat to air dry.

Cleaning your mask on a regular basis is important to reduce bacterial growth and extend the lifespan of the silicone cushion. For a more hassle-free cleaning experience, CPAP wipes can be used in place of soap and water.

Often, the largest hurdle for someone diagnosed with OSA is the thought of wearing a mask while they sleep. This fear can stop some people from even starting therapy for their sleep apnea.

Masks have come a long way over the years with manufacturers really considering the user and all the emotional reactions that come with being diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.

The super lightweight ResMed AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask, with its QuickFit elastic headgear, takes all the anxiety away. The mask's nasal pillows are designed to fit snugly and comfortably against the nostrils, without the need for a bulky cushion or mask covering the face. This design allows for a clear line of sight and makes it easier to read or watch TV before falling asleep.

What I love most about the P10 is that it comes as a FitPack that includes all three nasal pillow sizes. This takes away any sizing insecurities and my clients love how they can try different sizes at home. I consistently hear my clients remark how they can't believe how easy it was to adjust to CPAP therapy with the P10. Less is just better sometimes.

Subject: What a GAME CHANGER!!
I don't usually write reviews but I HAD to write one for this mask! I'm just so, so impressed. I used to hate CPAP therapy and the likes. I've tried cloth, nasal, full face, mouth guards, and literally every single other type of mask you can think of. I thought it was normal to get huge, red marks on my skin every morning and have my hair messed up like I walked through 1000 fans blowing at me from different directions. The airfit feels like a mask that was literally MADE for me. I got the sampler pack of different cushion sizes and tried the medium size but I've never had to adjust it and it fits perfectly on me. It doesn't feel claustrophobic, heavy, or annoying. It's so lightweight and it's so unnoticeable. I'm just in awe to know that masks make such a difference. I get such good sleep from this. It feels like the moment I put it on, I just drift away into my dreams. I can't even feel the air pressure at all! It's such a great mask and I don't have the words to express how much I LOVE this mask!! No slipping, no leaking, nothing! Just pure, uninterrupted, good sleep.

I'm so, so glad I found this mask at the recommendation of one of my good friends. Thank you so much. I'm VERY happy with this purchase.

I've been using this mask for about 12 months - it's the best I've tried so far.

Nose piece - while the nose piece is soft and comfortable on the outside, it has a firm inner structure that provides support when needed. It's hard to describe in words, but in practice it causes the nose piece to "firm up" when it would otherwise slide out of my nose - like when I'm on my side.

Head band - I was skeptical that a head band without adjustments could work well, but it does. The absence of buckles or loops make the head band very comfortable.

Lastly it is, of course, very light weight. Sometimes it is so comfortable I think I've forgotten to put it on!

These are an excellent mask. I have no trouble getting 12 months use out of these before I replace. The strap I find is initially pretty tight but does loosen up after a while. I probably should replace the strap after 6 months but I still get 12 out of it. I find it super quite with minimum contact with my face which is what I like particularly in summer.

This is pleasant change from my Resmed Nasal mask as it's lighter full air passage with the right size nasal pieces. This comes with three choices of nasal pillow size so you get the right one. It took about as long as I was awake before getting to sleep to get used to it ha ha. It stays in place well during the night as well.

Subject: Best mask for me so far
I'm still fairly new to CPAP therapy so I'm still trying to find the mask that works best for me. I've tried the Resmed F20, but kept waking up due to leaks near the bridge of my nose. Then I tried the Resmed F40 and it worked better and was more comfortable than the F20 I found that I would still wake up to leaks and I felt I was between their medium and large size so the mask didn't fit as well as I hoped.

I've been using the P10 for about 4 nights now and it's been great! I hardly notice the pillow on my face and after putting it on for a bit I forget it's there altogether. I sleep through the nights and am feeling the best I have since I started CPAP therapy.

I didn't think that I would like having just a nasal pillow and having the air blow up my nose, but I really don't notice it like I thought I would. If you're hesitant about trying a nasal pillow for the same reason I highly suggest trying it.

Subject: Review of the ResMed AirFit P10 after a week of use.
I found the Airfit P10 headgear strap much improved in its elasticity, BUT unfortunately, the adjustment is too small for my head. An unbelievably horrible mistake not to have tested this on a diverse market. The nosepiece sizing is not equal to the ResMed SwithFX that I have been using, this may be because the amount of pressure is different between the headgear. I use the medium nosepiece on the ResMed SwithFX. I have to use the large nose piece on the ResMed AirFit P10. I prefer the swivel on the nosepiece of the SwithFX over the newer AirFit P10. I wish Resmed would have taken the best of both of these headgear and made a better not just a different headgear.

Subject: Poorly constructed mask P10 Nasal pillow CPAP Mask
The Mask falls apart while sleeping, what the heck? I was told that shouldn't be happening it came directly from the maker's. Then I tried to call them, ha ha. I'm not happy with the product or the call services. I think you might Want to look for a aftermarket product if this is what you get from the actual makers!!

Thank you for reaching out to us!
I am wondering if you had the cushion securely fastened into the mask because it will fall out if not. Resmed is a quality brand.
We have exceptional staff ready and willing to help and we do have a very good mask assurance policy!

Bought it at launch after I saw it on the newsletter. Really comfortable mask, and extremely lightweight, which was nice.

First time using a nasal pillow mask instead of a nasal mask, took some getting used to. But I did like that the headgear doesn't doesn't interact with my face at all. I have had some problems with masks that rest on my face causing my cheeks to feel sore or having marks show. I just saw that resmed released a new airfit mask that is a nasal and not a nasal pillow so i'll try that next. Great mask if you like the nasal pillows.

Subject: AirFit P10
Well, I've tried several kinds of cpap masks and pillows and most leave marks or sores on my nose. I tried the AirFit P10 and this has worked very well for me. They provided 3 sizes with my order to try them all and I eventually choose the large for my fit. It fit's well and has never leaked once! It's nice not having my whole face covered and it's really simple to clean and take care of. The pillows are cheaper to purchase and less to take with you when you travel. If it keeps working like it has I'll be sticking with it.

This is a very good mask except for one very important design flaw. The novel, extremely fine vent mesh can completely obstruct in rain out conditions and cause rebreathing of markedly elevated CO2. Search on Resmed P10 + Hyperecapnia if you want to read a very detailed analysis of this problem.

Doug, You may need a heated tube to alleviate rainout or you can also turn down your Humidifier. I hope this is helpful
