ResMed AirFit P30i CPAP Nasal Pillow Mask
The AirFit P30i CPAP Nasal Pillow Mask with Headgear from ResMed is here for you to take back your sleep. With an innovative design and premier-quality material, this mask is sure to delight you. This nasal pillow CPAP mask features a top-of-the-head air tubing connection and a lightweight headgear frame.
While similar to the Philips Respironics DreamWear Pillow mask, the P30i improves upon its mask concept with an accordion-style headgear that does not slide around. This, of course, is a common complaint of DreamWear customers.
Did you know the P30i has a similar mask that uses the same frame? It is the N30i by ResMed. Having a tough time deciding between the two? We got you covered. Get one full mask kit and just an N30i cushion on the side to interchange. This N30i mask can be found here.
Freedom to Move, Breathe, and See
To improve on the older generation of CPAP masks, ResMed decided to rethink the hose placement as a top priority. The P30i features a frame that is hollow by design and a hose connection strategically placed over the head. While this makes for a great mask intended for any sleeper, it will work best for active sleepers thanks to the open field view!
CPAP users who are new to therapy and those who are concerned due to claustrophobia can rejoice because, with the hose connection placed over the head, bulkiness in front of the face is no longer an issue!
Best of all, the AirFit P30i Nasal pillow allows you to read from bed or watch TV. This is because, unlike some masks, it does not block your view. Did we mention no obstructions? The P30i is simply an unobtrusive mask perfect for your favorite night-time shenanigans.
Quieter Sleep for you, Quietest Sleep for Bed Partner
With your partner in mind, ResMed went to great lengths with the design of the P30i nasal pillow mask. It has been well-documented that noise is a constant uphill battle for CPAP users. By taking the necessary steps and continual feedback, ResMed has uncovered the answer.
The AirFit P30i's new, upgraded nasal cushion features the Quiet Air Vent technology invented by ResMed which makes it 57% quieter than the original cushion and 80% quieter than other nasal pillow options. This allows you to snuggle up closer without any pushback. Sleep together a little more normal again.
Easily Adapt to Your Therapy
The hollow Spring Fit frame allows the air to freely pass through the frame and directly into the cushion. Side sleepers especially will appreciate the ResMed AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow for its innovation because when one side's airflow is impeded, air will be redirected to the other side.
Designed with soft-built ridges spanning from the mid-frame to the crown, the frame has the ability to stretch, providing extra length as needed. The hose connection strategically placed above the head enables a full range of motion without sacrificing the seal of the mask. And if you get up during the night, fear not – the quick-release elbow provides an easy way to disconnect and ensures parts don’t get stuck or lost.
ResMed knows that "one size fits all" doesn't always apply to all. This is why the frame comes available in two sizes: Small and Standard.
P30i’s pliable design adapts to the contours of practically any face. That is what makes the P30i top-of-the-line. Lastly, soft sleeves are built-in and rest comfortably on your cheeks, preventing unwanted mask lines.
How to Properly Size Your P30i
ResMed includes all three compatible nasal pillows in the package, allowing you to find the most comfortable fit for your therapy. You won't need to size yourself prior to ordering as you can try all three options. This allows you the freedom to easily choose the best mask cushion for you.
In addition, you have an option of choosing one of two frame sizes - Standard and Small.

Reviewer's Tip:
Be sure to wash your AirFit Nasal Pillow mask every day to control bacteria growth that could compromise your health.
Recommended If You Have Facial Hair
We all have unique facial structures, and RespShop stocks a large variety of masks for CPAP so that everyone can find something that works best for them. Facial hair simply adds another wrinkle to the search for the mask that is your ticket to better sleep.
Nasal pillow masks do not anchor to the lower lip and are an easy solution. Many nasal pillow masks have narrow frames and thin headgear straps, adding up to smaller surface areas that need to lay flat. The ResMed AirFit P30i mask is a great choice for a beard-loving person.
Reviewer's Tip:
When shopping for a CPAP mask to wear with facial hair, don’t fall into the trap of sizing up. Use the size guide and select the size that fits your facial structure. Over-sizing results in leaks, frustration, and discomfort.

The P30i is an excellent mask that I would give 5 stars in all areas. I was deciding between the DreamWear and this mask, but I saw the little baffles on the top frame and figured it might help hold the mask better at night. For reference, I’m someone who moves a lot while sleeping so grip of the mask is a big concern for me.
Right off the bat, the mask is incredibly comfortable and well-fitting. The frame is light and pliable, so it rests on and fits around my face without issues. The headgear is pretty standard but it’s soft and breathable, which is all I can really ask for. It stretches to fit well too, living up to the idea that it’s one size fits all. The other primary comfort feature of the mask is the dual airway design, going down both sides of the head. Both can provide air to you, so you can sleep on your side and the one airway will keep pumping. Great because it means I can sleep comfortably on my side at night and I had no issues with breathing. Another excellent touch is the hose connector being at the top of the head. I love this feature since I can keep my air tube away from my neck and chest, where it usually runs. It also means I can sleep facing away from my machine without problems.
Of course the most important part is the nasal pillow. I’ve been using pillows for years now so I’m used to them, but I still think the P30i pillow is excellent. The standard pack come with all 3 sizes so you can really be sure you’re getting the right fit. It’s not too hard, holds against my nose very well, and seals up tight. I haven’t had any leakage issues and I wake up feeling refreshed every morning.
I can’t say enough good things about the P30i, and I really think this is the mask I’ll use for the rest of my life. Hopefully, this mask and the parts for it never go out of production and are around for a long time.
My brother recommended ResMed masks to me a few months ago when I was having issue with my previous one. I’m a pillow user so I made sure to look for their pillow line which landed me on this p30i. Only had it for about a week now but it’s doing good so I feel comfortable giving my thoughts.
Frankly, the part I always care most about is the pillow. How it fits, how it feels, and how it seals. Well thankfully, the p30i pillow is top class. The box comes with all 3 cushion sizes with the standard pack so I had no issue trying out all the sizes. I always appreciate when I don’t have to worry about measurements myself, since I struggle to even measure my pants size by myself (LOL). Medium was my pick and it’s supremely comfortable. It doesn’t feel like anything is there, but at the same time, I know it’s sealing well. I breathe perfectly well and all the usual benefits of going with a pillow apply. Hopefully these pillows hold out well over the long term so I don’t have to replace it too often.
Other than the pillow, the mask is good too. There’s only two frame sizes but it seems like they recommend just getting the standard size for most people. It fits my face well and I imagine I’m about the size of an average person. Also it’s comfortable and doesn’t hurt to wear/leave imprints. That’s about all I have to say, really good mask overall.
After several years using the Dreamwear nasal mask with the original pillows, tired the other later versions and didn't like them so stuck with the original pillows, I thought I'd give the N30i a go. While it is a newer copied version of the original Dreamwear in my mind it falls down on a few areas.
The whole mask frame is thicker and larger than the Dreamwear and I found that is was more intrusive especially as the side frame covers are permanently fitted and tend to be slippery not soft.
The other thing that I found was that the exit holes in the actual mask piece deflect the exiting air downwards which in cold weather when you have the blankets up under your chin means the outgoing air hits the blankets and deflects back into your face which is very annoying.
The biggest problem for me was that the actual nasal piece is rigid with a silicone piece where it rests under your nose and despite trying all three sizes of mask none of them really suited me and as I'm a side sleeper the rigid plastic piece causes it to push into my face which is most uncomfortable.
So I've gone back to the good old Dreamwear and the N30i will sit in the cupboard unused.
Subject: N30i nasal pillow mask
I thought it was going to be difficult to get use to this type of mask. I found it to be exactly the opposite. Very comfortable, provides great air flow. I thought laying on my sides would be problematic, no once I set it properly, not too tight or loose it was great. My only issue is my jaw tends to relax too much when I am in a deep sleep, I am having some difficulty finding a chin strap that supports my jaw without causing jaw problems. I have tried many, none returnable, that is an expense I would like to recoup, but we know that won't happen. I will continue that search, but using this mask no matter what. I did enough research to know using a gel around the nose it encouraged, so I started with the gel from the onset. I have no issues because of that, and I have VERY sensitive skin. No adhesives at all, ace bandages can even cause my skin to blister. I love the covers provided with the N30i pillow mask.
Subject: Too loud, otherwise good
First, the positives: the design for the air supply tube going on top of the mask is absolutely genius. Props to the designer for this one. I normally drape my hose from the top of my bed's headboard so this works perfectly for me. My wife doesn't have to worry about moving into the exhalation path anymore. Also, when I wake up in the morning, I don't get noticeable marks at all because of the soft fabric on the sides of the mask.
However, I will say that this mask is on the louder side. When I initially switched to this mask, I wasn't impressed by how loud the airflow was. Because of the way the sides of the mask press down on my face, I can hear the airflow and my own breathing in my skull. This will definitely take some time to get used to.
I think this mask is a good choice. I just wish it was a little quieter.
This was the first nasal pillow, or mask for that matter that I purchased and I like it alot so far. It comes with 3 different sizes on the nose piece for you to choose from and I found the medium to be best for me.
It's also nice that the hose is on top of my head as having one infront of my face/neck was not very appealing to me and seemed like it would just get in the way. With this setup however, the hose does not get in the way.
One tip I can provide is that you don't want to tighten the straps too much or it will be uncomfortable and just irritate your nose.
I found that I only need to tighten it enough so that it won't move away from my nose causing an air leak if I decide to turn over on my side instead of laying on my back and it's perfect.
First of all, the P30i is quite comfortable to wear. It is very lightweight and not the least bit bulky like some of the full face masks that I have tried. I didn't miss at all having to tighten straps so much just to prevent air leaks and then looking in the mirror after removing the mask in the morning, and seeing all those marks on my face. But then came the downside for me. I would constantly find my self being awakened exhaling through my mouth. I tried using a chin strap along with the nasal mask, but that was too much work and defeated the reason for going to a less obtrusive mask. So, I have gone back to using my full face mask as it does allow me to have uninterrupted sleep.
Subject: Way too tight to use
I purchased the standard size because I have a larger than normal head and that was the only option (certainly not small). I tried and tried with the various sized nasal pillows but woke up each morning to a sore nose and face. Now it sits by my bedside collecting dust and I'm using my years old mask... Going to try and get a replacement ..
Hello Tommy,
I am sorry the standard frame is too small for you. We have a 30 day mask assurance policy where we will give you store credit for an opened mask that doesn't work. Please give us a call at 866-937-3754 or you can use our online chat option to speak with us. We will be happy to help you.
Subject: Unsure about this one ...
Well, I am trying to find a good pillow mask but this one is NOT for me. Hurts my nose! This fits too tight against the base of the nose and causes my nose to be sore each morning when I wake.
It does create a good seal at the nose. It does have the on-top-of-the-head connector, which is great but the tightness against the nose it way too much and there is no way to adjust this! If it was able to be adjusted, it might be the perfect mask.
So, depending on head size maybe, it might not be for you.
Subject: Cannot change the nose piece
I order the p301. Amal pillow and I was unable to put the new one on my head piece. I’m 80 yo and could contribute to my inability to change them out but honestly it shouldn’t be that difficult
Thank you for reaching out to us! I was not able to find your order with Respshop so I could contact you. I am sorry you had issues with the cushion but perhaps this video will help. If not, please call us 866-936-3754
