Everything You Need to Know About Your Machine
How old are your machines?
All rental machines are under 2 years of regular usuage, with the assumption of 8 hours a day. If during your rental, your machine hits 5,840 hours total usuage (you can check it in the machine menu), contact us and we will swap a newer machine for you.
How do you clean the machines?
We discard the water chamber, tubing and filter once we receive the return rentals. Machines are completely inspected, reset and cleaned. All returned machines are thoroughly sanitized and placed in insolation, for a minimum of 7 days, before they are shipped out again.
Does a rental CPAP machine come with a heated humidifier and heated tubing?
All rental machines come with humidifier and new water tub - except the Transcend Micro and the AirMini. Standard tubing is included in the rental. You can purchase heated CPAP tubing if you prefer.
Do machines come with a CPAP mask?
No. You either use your own mask or purchase one from here.
How do I return my CPAP rental?
You can call or e-mail us when you are ready to return, and we will e-mail you the return label.
Do you accept credit card or PayPal?
Since we don't charge deposit, we will put a temporary credit hold on your credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept PayPal for rentals but you can use PayPal for non-rental purchases.
What is the minimum short-term CPAP rental?
One month.
Does the rental ResMed AirMini Travel CPAP come with a battery?
No.
Does the rental machine come with a travel bag?
Yes.
Can you remotely review and adjust the machine settings or comfort features for me?
We do have a service CPAP Compliance and Therapy Reporting which is sold separately. You can take 40% off if purchased with a rental machine. This deal is only available for rental machine orders. An add-on option will show up when you add a rental machine to your cart. Let us know if you need more guidance.
Can we buy the machine after a certain time?
We do not offer this option at this moment.
Which machines have remote connections?
Only ResMed AirSense 11, AirMini Travel CPAP, and Philips DreamStation 2 have built-in cellular for remote connections. If you need remote connections, you have to go with these options.

Do you charge insurance?
No, we only accept credit cards. You may wish to consult your insurance provider regarding reimbursement.
Do you take debit cards or FSA/HSA cards for rental orders?
No. Currently we only take credit cards as the payment method for rental orders.
Is this program available to international customers?
No, currently we only allow orders from the U.S. (excluding US Territories).
How do you charge me for the following months?
RespShop will charge the credit card we have on file each month, starting from your initial order date. If your credit card has expired, we kindly ask you to contact us ASAP to update your card.
Why can't I find the PayPal Checkout for Rental?
Our monthly charge system only supports credit cards at this moment.
What if I want to buy the machine after a few months' rental?
We do not offer this option at this time.
Why do you need to place a payment hold?
In lieu of a down payment we request a payment hold before we can ship out our machines.

What if I break or lose the machine?
You will be charged up to 80% of the new machine price, as per Resphop's policy.
What if I lose the machine parts that need to be returned?
You will be charged the listed website price of the part and $20.00 for manuals, as per Resphop's policy.

Prescription Required
Prescription Required
We require a prescription for all CPAP machine rentals. You can purchase a home sleep test from us if you never had one or book an appointment for a renewed prescription. If you have purchased a machine at Respshop.com before, please let us know. We may already have your prescription on file. If not, you can fax it to us at 1-866-936-3730 or email us at sales@respshop.com. We must have a copy of your prescription before we ship your rental. We can also contact your physician directly.
Rental Period
Rental Period
The rental period will be rounded up to a one-month rental period. For example, when you have the machine for 2 months and 5 days, you will be charged for 3 months. The rental period is calculated from the order date to the return drop-off date from the customer. We do not refund charged monthly costs.

We only ship rental machines to credit card billing addresses due to security reasons. We ship to all 50 states. *We do not ship to the US Territories. Free return shipping is limited to only the contiguous 48 States with USPS Flat Rate or UPS Ground shipping.

The machine must be returned without any defects. We strongly recommend you take pictures of any marks or defects you spot when you first receive the machine and send them to us for our records. Respshop will charge up to 80% of the price of a new machine for rental machines that are lost or returned damaged. Respshop reserves the right of final interpretation/determination of the machine’s condition.

How does it work?
When you place an order, we charge the first month's machine rental fee + a payment hold on your credit card. The hold amount ranges from $349 - $3,149, depending on which machine you choose. You will see “pending” on your bank statement but will not need to pay for the hold. You will only need to pay the monthly rental fee. The next month, we will renew the $349 - $3,149 hold and charge the monthly fee. We will repeat this until you return the machine.

About your credit card:
Customers must provide a credit card under their name with a matching billing/shipping address. The provided credit card must have an expiration date of at least 3 months away. Please contact us ASAP for an update if your card is about to expire. Currently, we do not accept debit cards or FSA/HSA cards as payment methods for all rental orders.
Please make sure your card has at least the monthly rental fee + payment hold amount credit available for the order to proceed.
Please note, if the monthly rental charge is declined, we will contact you to address the oversight. We will convert the hold to an actual charge if the failed charges cannot be resolved.
