Can I use the Philips SimplyGo Oxygen Concentrator on the plane?

The SimplyGo is FAA-approved for in-flight use. While some airlines let you plug your portable oxygen concentrator into onboard electrical power, others require you to run your concentrator on battery.

We recommend contacting your airline at least 48 hours before your flight to inquire about their onboard oxygen use requirements. If onboard power is unavailable, be sure to bring enough batteries to cover at least 150% of your total flight time.

How long does it take to fully charge the SimplyGo?

The SimplyGo battery takes 2-6 hours to fully charge from empty depending on whether or not the device is being used and the operating mode.

Can I use the Simply Go Oxygen Concentator while sleeping?

Yes, the SimplyGo features a Sleep Mode that delivers pulse dose oxygen with a more sensitive detection level. If no breath is detected for a period of time, the SimplyGo automatically delivers 2 L/min continuous flow oxygen.

Can I use the Philips SimplyGo with a CPAP or BiPAP machine?

The SimplyGo can be connected to a CPAP or BiPAP machine. Only the Continuous Flow mode should be used when adding oxygen to a sleep apnea machine.

Can I use the Simply Go Oxygen Concentator while it is being charged?

The SimplyGo can be used while connected to an AC/DC power supply with the battery inserted.

What length of nasal cannula can I use with the SimplyGo?

The SimplyGo can be used with nasal cannulas up to 30 ft (9 m) in length.

How do I clean and maintain my Philips SimplyGo?

SimplyGo: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild household cleaner.

Carrying case: The carrying case can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent solution. Alternatively, machine wash it with mild laundry detergent on a gentle cycle.

Mobile cart: The cart can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent solution.

Batteries: Store batteries in a cool, dry and well ventilated area below 70°F (21°C) with 40 to 50% charge. If you have multiple batteries, rotate their use and avoid leaving them unused for over 90 days at a time.

Q. Can this concentrator work in cold weather conditions?

A. The main consideration on this is the lithium ion batteries which can be stored from -4° F (-20° C) to 140° F (+60° C) at up to 80% relative humidity. However, they are best stored below 70° F (21° C) in a cool, dry, well-ventilated facility free from corrosive gas or vapor.
Storage at temperatures above 113° F (45° C), such as in a hot car, may degrade battery performance and reduce battery life. Storage at low temperatures may affect initial battery performance.

I am from Peru, my father requires this machine (Philips Respironics SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator) which it was recommended by his doctor, due he has pulmonary fibrosis with 20% of the lung damaged. In Peru, this machine is not in sale therefore we want to buy online so that a friendship in USA brings it to our country. would you accept a prescription from Peru and in Spanish?

Q. What does it mean when the x over the battery on the machine on the screen

A. The x through the battery means Depleted Battery
Alarm.
This alarm occurs when approximately two minutes of battery life remains. The battery symbol flashes on the screen.

Q. I am on 5 liters of oxygen. Will this work for me?

A. Hello, It is up to your physician to determine if you may use this item or not. We would require a prescription for the Portable Oxygen Concentrator and the liter flow he is wanting you to use it at. This unit does not do 5 liters per minute continuous. Thank you

Q. I AM USING A STATIONARY EVER FLO CONCENTRATOR AND I ALMOST ALWAYS USE 2 LPM BUT Occasionally I HAVE TO RAISE IT UP TO 3. WILL THIS PORTABLE CONCENTRATOR HELP ME ?.

A. This machine can do a maximum of 2 LPM. Ask your physician if that's an appropriate flow rate for you.
