ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing - 6.6 ft

The ClimateLine Air heated tubing is exclusively for use with AirSense 11 Series CPAP machine. The heated tubing uses a built-in mask temperature sensor to reach relative humidity at the mask. Sensors inside and outside the CPAP machine closely monitor changes in humidity and prevents condensation from forming inside the tube. When used with the device humidifier tub, ClimateLineAir 11 heated air tubing allows you to use the Climate Control feature.

Most users enjoy using heated CPAP tubes because these devices help to reduce CPAP side effects like rainout and dry mouth. The warm air keeps the inflow of moisture smooth and allows you to sleep easier by ensuring that you get the most out of your humidifier.

Climate Control

When a ClimateLineAir tube is attached to your AirSense 11, it will automatically engage the Auto Climate Control Mode. Climate Control is designed to make therapy more comfortable by enabling constant temperature and maintaining humidity.

  • Delivers comfortable humidity level and temperature during therapy
  • Maintains the set temperature and relative humidity during sleep to prevent dryness in the nose and mouth
  • Can be set to either Auto or Manual
  • Heated tubing helps prevent rainout

The ClimateLineAir 11 is the only heated tubing that is compatible with the AirSense 11 device.

Tubing Length

6.6 ft. (2.0 m)

Cleaning Instruction

Wash weekly in warm water with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry. Do not reattach ClimateLineAir tubing to your CPAP until the tubing is completely dry. Please read page 11 of the user manual for complete instructions.

Reviewers Tip:

The ClimateLineAir and the ClimateLine intended for ResMed's S9 CPAP machines are not compatible tubing options. The ClimateLineAir will only work with AirSense 10 devices.

Is the ClimateLineAir a 15 mm tube or a 19 mm tube?
15 mm.

Guidelines from ResMed for CPAP hose replacement:

CPAP mask tubing may develop small holes or tears, which can cause air leaks. If your tube is leaking, you may not be receiving your prescribed therapy setting from your CPAP. This can cause you to feel like you’re not sleeping as well.

Why do you need a heated CPAP hose?
The main reason for a heated hose is to avoid moisture build up in the CPAP tube.
If you use a fan at night or if your bed is near a window, sometimes the moisture from the humidifier can condense and pool in the hose before it gets to your airway.
When this happens, it can wake you up by creating a loud popping sound as the air blows past the water, and in some cases can cause what we refer to as "rain out" where the water starts to splash on to your face or pour in to your nose.
The heated hose insulates the air from the cooler temperatures in your room to avoid this.
You can also adjust the heat in the hose for your comfort making this a great option to the standard hose!

I have been walking up a few times in the past month with dry mouth. My tongue is stuck to the top of my mouth. What is the problem? (Asked on 03/05/2022)
A couple of things. Make sure you humidifier is set correctly. Also if you are using a fullface mask this can happen because your mouth is opening and the air is going through your mouth. You may try a heated hose and see if that will help with moisture. Also some meds can create a dry mouth as well.
Does Res Med 11 have a heated tube with 0xygen connection capabilities, built into the tube or is it a add on adaptor. Thanks (Asked on 04/08/2022)
This does not have oxygen capabilities, ResMed has yet to release the heated tube with oxygen capabilities but as they had one for the AirSense 10 it is likely they will eventually release one for the AirSense 11 as well. You can attach an oxygen adapter such as the Sunset Healthcare Oxygen Enrichment Adapter.
Can you please tell me what tube setting I should have on the air sense 11 autoset model for a climateline tube. Should I select ‘slimline’ or ‘standard’. Resmed user manual unhelpfully doesn’t say. Thank you. (Asked on 05/25/2022)
For the climatelineair tubing, you don't have to select a tube setting because the machine will automatically detect the "climatelineair tubing" is plugged in (there's a chip on the end of the tubing).
What wrap do you recommend for the Climateline air 11?
Is the tubing supposed to feel warm?
When you raise the temperature are you raising the humidifier tub or tube temperature? (Asked on 06/26/2022)
Here is a video form Resmed that will help you with the explanation of how to use the humidity. https://youtu.be/V8PD5S9p8WQ and here is a wrap you may use https://www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/tubing/resmed-tubing-wrap-p-196.html
I just purchased the Lumin bullet to sanitize the inside of the tubing. I noticed after purchase that it is not compatible with the resumed 10 heating tube. Will it be compatible with the 11? I notice a little plastic piece that looks like it will block the bullet. What is that little piece for? Can I cut it out in order to use the bullet? I don’t want to use ozone and our water has a lot of minerals - I get a white residue very fast. (Asked on 05/01/2022)
Always use distilled water in your water chamber to prevent any mineral deposit. Cleaner for both the machine and your breathing. Try the Paptizer, https://www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/comfort-cleaning/liviliti-paptizer-uvc-led-smart-cpap-sanitizer-ozone-free-p-1670.html, for ozone free sanitization.
Why doesn’t the tubing for the air sense 11 include an elbow connector? I’ve been having to use the elbow connector from the tubing on my old machine just so I can connect the tubing to my mask (Asked on 04/05/2022)
Please watch this video and it should explain what step you are missing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmxmTrSJV78&t=9s Typically that elbow comes with the mask as per the video . Thank you
