Weighing only 1.3 lb, the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite CPAP Battery is your perfect travel companion.

At less than 7” wide, it’s small enough to fit easily in a backpack or tote bag. This CPAP Battery is FAA-compliant and safe to fly with, so you can freely carry it onto airplanes.

Included with the Pilot-24 Lite are output cables for the ResMed AirSense 10 and AirMini.

The battery also works with other 24V CPAP machines and powers them for up to 2 nights on a single charge, making it an ideal standalone power source or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

Featuring a built-in LED flashlight, it can provide light during blackouts or simply light up your tent.

With a recharge time of only 2 to 3 hours and the option to charge via a foldable solar panel or car battery, the Pilot-24 Lite provides uninterrupted sleep apnea therapy, no matter where life takes you.

*Not compatible with ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto, ASV, ST and ST-A VPAP machines. For optimal run times, please remove/disable your machine's heated humidifier and heated tubing. Charge battery periodically if not used regularly.

If you are only going to get one accessory in your lifetime, this should be it! This industrial-grade rechargeable lithium-ion cell battery has changed my life. If you are like me, you probably love sleeping and breathing at the same time!

There is nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night choking on your own tongue because your power has gone out! This battery can be plugged in in line with your CPAP so that if the power ever goes out, it just kicks in automatically without you missing a breath.

It can also be used as an independent power source for your CPAP and depending on your pressure settings can last for about 2 nights if you turn off your humidifier.

You can charge your Medistrom battery using your CPAP’s regular cable, or you can get a DC adapter to charge it using a cigarette lighter outlet in your car. You can even get a solar panel for it that folds up light and is small for backpacking.

Outside of the fact that this battery keeps me breathing consistently by keeping my CPAP functional regardless of the power situation at my home, the best feature of this battery is the USB outlet on the front of it. That means that you can use this battery not only to keep your CPAP running, but you can also keep your phone or any other USB device up and running! This makes it a perfect multi-functional accessory for any circumstance.

Unlike the original Pilot series batteries, these batteries are only slightly larger than my phone. Weighing in at only 1.3 lbs and measuring 6.7" x 3.5" x 0.8”, it fits easily in a purse or back pocket for just about any event.

If I had one criticism of this battery it is that the built-in flashlight is not very bright, but because I can keep my phone charged up, I can use the flashlight on it!

In conclusion, this battery is awesome. You should get one or even two! That way you can have one for your CPAP and one for when you are running about with a low phone battery.

The Pilot 24-Lite is FAA and TSA compliant and can be packed in your carry-on luggage.
On average pressures, the battery can provide up to 2 nights of runtime with the humidifier disabled and a non heated hose.

Higher pressures, excessive mask leak and the use of a humidifier and heated tube will significantly decrease the runtime.
Charge times via the ResMed AirSense 10, S9 or the Medistrom Pilot-24 AC adapter is approximately 2-3 hours. Charge time via the ResMed AirMini AC adapter is approximately 7-9 hours.
AC power: Medistrom Pilot-24 AC adapter (sold separately) or your machine’s AC adapter

Q. Allowed on overseas flights with Resmed mini?
A. You will need to contact your airlines to see if they will allow this battery. Most airlines will allow a battery but you will need to check with their policy.
Q. Can I use this battery for my Airsense 11 machine?
A. Yes, with the Airsense 11 cable, item #P24R11PLK.
Q. Good evening. I have been experiencing some power outages the past couple months. It really stinks when I'm sleeping and get jolted awake by that suffocating feeling of no power on my CPAP. My question is, if I keep it plugged into my airsense10 and to the dc adapter for battery backup, will that kill the battery quickly? I'm not talking drain it but, actually kill it.

Thanks,
Brandon Napier.
A. Reply:
Hi there, the way you would actually want to use the battery is have it plugged in, in between the device and the power supply. This allows the battery to stay charged so that when the power goes out, the battery will automatically kick in. The batteries can last up to 8 hours usually, with the Humidity and Tube temperature turned off. If those are on the battery will deplete within a few hours as the humidifier draws a lot of power. It is actually designed to work this way, so it will not destroy the battery.
Q. Will this work with Dreamstation autopap bipap
A. I am sorry that battery is for a Resmed product. You will want either one of these.

Q. Do you have (or could you describe) a solar panel unit that could charge this when truly off the grid?
A. Here is the link for the Medistrom Solar Panel. Please see the details below the photo. If you have any further questions please give us a call at 866-936-3754 and speak to one of our medical staff.

Q. How does this work in the case of a power outage? Do I need to wake up and then plug my machine in to this battery?
A. Generally speaking, you'll want to leave the Medistrom Pilot 24 Lite Battery plugged in to your machine full time. It can operate in line with your machine's cable so that if there is a power outage, you will seamlessly switch over to battery power without missing a breath.

Subject: Good for my needs.
It's not the cheapest option out there, but for the reliability and peace of mind it offers, it is a solid investment. It's kept my therapy going strong no matter where I've ended up.

Subject: Great Battery
This is a great battery. I took it with my travel CPAP to camp and was able to get 2 nights out of a single charge. Makes so I can now use my travel CPAP most any where for at least a couple of nights. I did get the car charger with it so I charged it up for a 3rd night.

Awesome, this battery is a life changer. SO scared to go anywhere off the grid because I would snore so loudly I'd spend weeks explaining myself. Now I can go where I would never go. Boys trips, school camps, friend getaways. It's great.

I intend to use the Medistrom CPAP Battery Pilot-24-Lite (for Resmed) on my voyages (airplane or sites where there is no electric power available). I did test it at home in combination with an Air Mini from Resmed and my first impression is very good. The battery provided me two nights of sleep without extra charging (6h30 and 7h45). As I expected it would last only one night it's a very good information for me as I intend to fly in the near future from Luxembourg to Australia. I hope the Battery's lifecycle will also be a positive surprise.
Greetings

The initial impression is that it is quite big and heavy. It took a little time to find its technical specifications as I plan to take it to a great deal of traveling. A clear marking of international spec might help travellers to clear customs. The cable connector are a little complicated offering many choices. Once starting to use, it is versatile battery capable of performing multiple tasks.
