Q. I upgraded to a airsense 11 (From a 10) and my water chambers keep cracking. I'm just wondering why?
A. Be sure you are only washing the chambers with mild detergent. Refill daily and wash weekly. Air dry. Do not use without distilled water. This should keep your chamber clean and working well for a year.
Q. Do all the tubs for both 11 models have heaters in their water tank?
A. The heated plate is part of the humidifier within the Airsense 11. It heats the bottom of the water chamber to warm the water.
Q. Can RO water be used instead of distilled water?
A. The manufacturers recommend distilled only.
Q. What type of plastic is the water chamber made out of?
A. The manufacturer, Resmed, would be the best source for this question. 1-800-424-0737
Q. Can the air sense 11 humidifier be taken apart for easier washing and drying?
I've upgraded to the 11... used to have airsense 10 ... was able to take apart at hinge ... looks like I can with the 11... just want to be sure

A. Yes, the lid of the water chamber will come off like the one for Airsense 10 does. Just be gentle. Air drying is always best. Tip - use a toothbrush to reach all the corners.
Q. So you mean, the cleaning and maintenance instruction on this page is not for the cleanable tub?
A. Cleaning your water chamber in a tub of soapy water and a brush to get in all the corners periodically is always a good idea. The cleanable tub can then use the dishwasher in between if you so choose. There is no such thing as too much cleaning to beat bacterial growth and keep you healthy.
Q. I use the cleanable tub. Do I have to soak the water tub in a basin of warm soapy water for up to 30 minutes before I wash it in the dishwasher as you instructed on this page?
A. One or the other will keep on top of the bacteria. No need to do both necessarily.
Q. Looking for humidifier tank that will work with my SoClean.i.e .A tube on tank for hose to connect to from SoClean
A. You will need to contact So Clean to see if they have one available. We do not carry any So Clean products.
Q. You are giving out the wrong information. Did you know that? If a person uses part number 39101, according to ResMed regular tap water can be used . If using part number 39100, use only distilled water. Make this clear on your website.
A. Hi there, it is actually always recommended to use Distilled water over tap water with a humidifier.
Q. Hello, Just received my new RESMED 11 autoset (39000). during orientation to machine the RT informed that I could use BOTTLED H20. I asked if I needed to use distilled water ... answer was NO. I could use bottled water. My tub has the White tab on top middle of tub. Question is: Can I use Ozone and Reverse Osmosis Filtrated Water... OR... Distilled ONLY?
Thanks
Thanks
A. Hello, it is recommended that distilled water or bottle water but you need to rinse the tub daily with soap and water. You may try osmosis filtrated water as long as the minerals and calcium is removed and again I would recommend that you wash your tube daily. Just do not use water right out of a faucet.

Some 20 yr old designed this thing for looks and not use. The water tank is SO small it’s ridiculous. Ya I know, turn down the temp and humidity, should not be the answer. The patient should have as much moisture as they feel they need, not adjust settings due to design failure.
