ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing

The ResMed ClimateLineAir heated tube is specifically designed for the AirSense 10 series of CPAP machines as well as the AirCurve 10 series of BiPAP machines.

The tubing works in conjunction with the AirSense/AirCurve 10's built-in HumidAir heated humidifier and the machine's advanced Climate Control system. When the ClimateLineAir heated tube is plugged into an AirSense/AirCurve 10 device, it enables Climate Control Auto, a setting which automatically adjusts the temperature and humidity levels based on the user's environment to prevent dry mouth, rainout and nasal congestion. The ClimateLineAir tubing uses its advanced temperature-sensing technology to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the length of the tube, thereby preventing condensation buildup that causes rainout.

Featuring a slim, 15mm inner diameter, the ResMed ClimateLineAir heated tubing is lightweight and flexible, making it easy to manage during sleep. The tube is compatible with all CPAP masks with standard 22mm diameter connectors, offering users more freedom when selecting a CPAP mask.

Why Do You Need a Heated Tube?

Heated CPAP tubing serves one primary purpose: preventing moisture buildup in the tube. The heated and humidified air from your CPAP machine cools as it travels from the machine to your face, leading to condensation buildup that, in extreme cases, result in water sloshing around in your hose and mask. If there is a draft nearby (e.g., you sleep with a fan on or near the window), or if you sleep with the AC on, the odds of this happening is even greater.

Condensation in your CPAP tubing is a problem as air flowing past the water droplets can create loud popping sounds that disrupt your sleep. Excess condensation or rainout can result in water splashing onto your face or even into your nose!

Using a heated hose solves these problems because the heated hose helps maintain a constant temperature throughout your CPAP circuit. This temperature control insulates the air inside the tubing from the cooler temperature in its surroundings. As an added bonus, you can even adjust the temperature in the heated hose for your comfort, making this a great upgrade to the standard hose!

Subject: Resmed Climatelineair
I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea a year ago. While it was great to finally know what was going on with my health. I was not provided with much information at all. I got a cpap and a mask and was told to use it each night. I would attempt to use it every night. Each night I would attempt to use CPAP therapy. My mask was comfortable and easy to put on so I didn't mind that. Once I was lying down, wearing my mask, I would start feeling optimistic about being able to wear the mask all night. This would be the night, I would tell myself. I would sleep soundly for a couple of hours and then I would wake to a loud noise and water spitting at me! It was alarming! I didn't know what was happening. I would be grossed out and frustrated and TIRED. I would go back to sleep without my mask. I eventually quit using it. Feeling guilty about my non compliance I did some research and found RespShop.com What an impressive website! I called through and the kind, informative customer service explained I needed a ClimatelineAir tubing. This tube allows my humidification to be set as I need it and no more waking to noise or water in my face! Get a ClimateLineAir tube!

Subject: Makes a difference
I'm new to having to use a CPAP, and my AirSense10 was delivered to me with a basic hose by a local distributer. Trying to figure out temperatures and humidity levels was a pain. Plugging this in, and having everything pop over to Auto has been really helpful. I have been sleeping better, and my sinuses don't feel like a swamp or desert in the mornings. It costs a bit more than the standard hose, but the convenience and comfort are well worth it.

I'm glad I chose this hose with my machine instead of the standard hose, being able to have warm air instead of cold is very nice and much more comfortable. It goes hand and hand with the humidifier provided on the Resmed Autosense 10 Autoset to provide comfort with your cpap. I have tried both cold air and heated and I'm glad I went with this heated tubing.

The hose is a bit stiffer than the S9 Climateline tube, but otherwise it's a good product. My Airsense cpap can detect right away as soon as when I attached it to the unit. A hose is a hose unless it does not perform like one. It is well constructed, swivels 360º.

First, the ResMed AirSense 10 ClimateLinge Air Heated tubing is needed with the Machine. That said, the heated tube is
a great combination with the humidifier. It's very comfortable, and aids with a more comfortable sleep.

Question
What is the difference between standard tubing and heated tubing?

Answer
A standard hose can be used on any CPAP machine and any mask (excluding Airmini). The heated tubing are to be used with the specific machine they are designed for. It will maintain the moisture leaving the humidifier until it reaches your mask without any water/rainout in the tube!

Question
I have the Airsense10 and the Philips Dreamwear mask setup. My old Airsense10 ResMed AirFit™ P10 Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask hose is too large an ID for my Philips Dreamwear mask setup tube. What is the headgear ID of this tube? My Resmed tube part number has (01) 00619498004706 and (10) SG220526 printed on the A10 side.

Answer
The hose and mask are universal. Chances are you have the dreamwear adapter stuck inside your tube. Reconnect your old mask back on your hose and instead of pulling, look where the mask connects to the hose and break it like bread. The white connector stuck inside your tube belongs to your mask. Once this is out you will be able to connect the P10 to your hose.

Question
How long is the tubing?

Answer
The ClimatelineAir heated tubing is 6 feet long.

Question
What is the reasoning behind changing the hose every 6 months? Does the heater element have that short a lifespan? Is it impossible to clean?

Answer
Yes, you should clean your hose each week with warm water and a mild soap. Washing and replacing your tubing and all other parts is about staying on top of bacteria growth for the healthiest therapy.
