ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask by Philips Respironics

The ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask from Philips Respironics, with its gel technology, is designed for a custom fit with your comfort in mind.

The ComfortGel Blue's adjustable forehead stability arm and gel nasal cushion improve mask seal to help you achieve a better night's sleep. The forehead stability arm lets you modify the position of the forehead pad for a better seal around the nose bridge. The gel cushion rests comfortably on your skin, preventing painful pressure points and minimizing air leaks.

If noise is a concern, the ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask has that part covered, too. Air is directed away from your sleeping partner through micro ports in the angled exhalation valve. The micro ports help reduce noise by dispersing the airflow.

The ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask also comes with a soft headgear which features four adjustable points for a secure fit.

Dual System Cushion Design
The ComfortGel Blue's gel cushion comes with a silicone flap which fits over the gel cushion. The silicone flap protects the gel cushion from the oils on your skin which cause the cushion to deteriorate over time. The silicone flap snaps over the gel cushion and can be easily removed from the mask and gel cushion for cleaning.

Please refer to the fitting guide for instructions on attaching and removing the gel cushion and flap.

Duo Pack Option
If you purchase the ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask with an Extra Cushion option, you will receive an extra cushion of the same selected size. Cushions should be replaced every 6 months due to regular wear and tear. This ensures that you have the best seal for optimal CPAP therapy.

Adjustable Headgear
The Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue comes with a soft, adjustable four point headgear which wraps around your head for a secure fit. You can tighten or loosen the headgear as needed via Velcro tabs on the forehead and bottom straps.

Is the ComfortGel Blue mask compatible with my tubing and CPAP machine?
The Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask is compatible with all CPAP and BIPAP machines with the exception of the ResMed AirMini Auto Travel CPAP. The ComfortGel Blue can be connected to all tubing with a standard 22mm connector cuff.

Subject: Not a good mask
This is a review of the ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask. I have consistently worn a medium size mask. The medium in this mask is way too big. The layout of the seals and straps are such that it must be pulled too tight to my face so it will not leak. I tried it on, adjusted it, readjusted and readjusted it again. 20 minutes is all I could tolerate. I took it off and threw it away.
This is the problem with mail-order masks. You never know if they will fit and work until you get them. Once you find one that fits it is then either discontinued or "improved" to the point it no longer fits.
Very frustrating.

I did not have a good experience with this mask. It had a very strong odor to begin with but that may dissipate after awhile, not sure.
The mask just did not fit well. The bottom part would not sit right under my nose and irritated.
When I would lay on my side the mask would pull tight on one side and loosen on the other creating a gap. I tried readjusting but no luck.
Maybe it's just the shape of my face but either way I was unable to use this mask.

This mask is too heavy on the bridge of my nose. I had a difficult time getting the settings adjusted to eliminate the larger leaks. Last, I am certain that the plastic clips for the headgear will not last a year. It is difficult to get the peg in and out of the clip. Even at $30, I won't buy this mask again.

Subject: Wanted to try a different mask
I have been using full face masks (that cover mouth and nose) for a few years now. Wanted to try a nose only mask. I do have facial hair and have found this nose only mask became painful under my nose where my mustache is. I have fairly sensitive skin and there seems be a lot of pressure under the nose no matter how I adjust it. The first couple of nights was ok, and I had no issues with keeping my mouth closed while sleeping. It is quite strange to try and talk with this style of mask. I did think it was easier to sleep with the smaller mask, until it started hurting too much, then I had to go back to the full mask. Dealing with respshop was fine, good price, and the order came quickly was accurate. Will certainly do more business in the future. Had to give 3 stars due to comfort factor. Maybe if you are clean shaven this will be better for you.

So far this has been the best mask I have used, the gel cushion gives me good seal and super comfortable. And the silicone forehead padding is also soft and never gives me discomfort, it provides comfort and reduce any pressure points and never leave red marks. The headgear is super soft and mask is easy to put on and easy to care for.So far this has been the best mask I have used, the gel cushion gives me good seal and super comfortable. Subject: An OK Basic Nasal Mask
One of the things I've noticed about Phillips masks and products they have the tendency to go way overboard. In this product, headgear is large, bulky and uncomfortable. The nasal mask is very.large and heavy. They tend to be value priced as compared.to others such as the Resmed. If you need a backup mask, it will get by. I personally do not like this nasal mask setup. It does work as intended but very poorly due to the headgear/mask design.

to whon this may concern:
The mask still has a strong plastic smell no matter how many times I have washed it.
It does not fit well on my face.
It leaks air at all time I must stay still for it not to leak air.
I am not happy with it at all.

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the mask. We do have a mask guarantee program for masks purchased within 30 days. If your mask is older than that you may need a new cushion. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MASK AT ALL. I am going to return it, but unfortunately I have to order a different one, so I won't lose a couple days of not having one.
1. the clips on the side come off during sleep
2. Its clunky, and hisses from the way it's made, air escapes constantly.
3. I have not had a restful sleep since I bought it, due to the noise and clips coming off.

Now the band that goes around the head is the best feature. its comfortable, and doesn't leave the huge grooves in your face as some of the others.

I just received my blue gel mask. I ordered a medium, which is on the label. I received a S/M mask that probably fits a child. It is extremely undersized, it won't even cover my nose and mouth.
My current mask is a medium, and fits well. It is not the blue gel mask though.

The only way to find out if it fits is to open the package, which then probably eliminates the possibility of return

Hi there, you actually purchased a Nasal mask. So it's not supposed to go over your mouth and nose. It is supposed to go over the nose only. The S/M is the size of the frame, and the size of the cushion should be noted on the actual cushion itself. We don't have the full face version of this mask. It was discontinued a long time ago, so we are just selling out of stock we still have. We can offer you store credit towards a different mask as long as it is within the 30 day mask assurance.
