Comfort Gel Blue Nasal Mask by Philips Respironics
Designed to minimize pressure points and noise, the Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask offers a custom fit and a comfortable sleep therapy experience.
Made with an inner blue gel layer and an outer silicone flap, the nasal cushion provides a stable self-adjusting seal. It features angled exhalation ports, redirecting airflow away from your bed for a quiet sleeping environment.
To help you achieve the perfect fit, the one-size-fits-most headgear can be tightened or loosened in four places. The forehead support, which improves comfort and seal, can be adjusted using the stability arm.
Weekly cleaning: headgear
- Disassemble the mask prior to cleaning. Please refer to the user guide for help with disassembly.
- Wash the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than 10 minutes.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly and air dry away from direct sunlight.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
- Position the cushion inside the frame, making sure the notch for your nose is at the top.
- Then, place the silicone flap (with the size indicator at the bottom) over the cushion.
- Press down firmly on all three sides of the integrated ring on the flap. You'll hear a click for each side that snaps into place.
- Gently pull on the cushion to confirm all parts are securely attached.
Removing the flap and cushion:
- Push upwards underneath the base of each side of the integrated ring. This loosens the flap and cushion from the frame.
- Once loosened, lift the flap and then remove the cushion from inside the flap.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
- Adjust the forehead support arm.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your ComfortGel Blue according to the fitting guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.

I've been using this mask for many years. It's a little bulky compared to my new daily driver, nasal pillow mask. But, if I'm suffering with an upper respiratory infection, and don't want to irritate my nose, I consistently find myself going back to this mask. It just works for me.

Mask with the adjustable head gear works well.
Overall: 5 star
Pay attention to the size that would otherwise tortured your face to stop air leaks.
I use a Bipap machine with high pressure settings and this is one of the few masks that can handle a high setting and not leak.
Ordering with simple and smooth But Unfortunately have not received the delivery yet.
Does a good job of sealing. Side plastic hooks are difficult to use.
As a word of advice for newer users of this mask out there, I recommend reinforcing the bar the headgear straps thread through. They use flimsy plastic there so it's easy for it to break without strengthening them. Otherwise, very good mask. I highly recommend it.
These masks would be the best All Around nasal mask.
The cushion is above average, and the straps are relentless...meaning, they've always outlasted the main mask hub, for me.
$35, or less has sealed my deal for 4 years now...and if they take care of that forehead brace...

The fit is funny it presses so hard with hard plastic under the nose it hurts
It works but very uncomfortable on face leaves marks and if you loosen up straps does not seal properly

I have been using full face masks (that cover mouth and nose) for a few years now. Wanted to try a nose only mask. I do have facial hair and have found this nose only mask became painful under my nose where my mustache is. I have fairly sensitive skin and there seems be a lot of pressure under the nose no matter how I adjust it. The first couple of nights was ok, and I had no issues with keeping my mouth closed while sleeping. It is quite strange to try and talk with this style of mask. I did think it was easier to sleep with the smaller mask, until it started hurting too much, then I had to go back to the full mask. Dealing with respshop was fine, good price, and the order came quickly was accurate. Will certainly do more business in the future. Had to give 3 stars due to comfort factor. Maybe if you are clean shaven this will be better for you.
The mask is great as usual but the strap is very inconvenient. I have always had the strap that slides in to snap but this is more like hooking it to snap. I do not like it. Thanks

I switched to the ComfortGel blue mask after my wife kept complaining about the air that blew in her face from my old mask. I don't have that problem anymore but instead, another problem has arisen. The mask is a little tight for me and some of the pressure points ache. I tried to adjust this mask as well as I can but it's still too small for me.
I know a lot of reviews on here talk about how comfortable the mask is but it personally doesn't work for me. Needless to say I am a little disappointed that I'll still have to look for a better mask that suits my needs. I'm not sure if I keep wearing this mask, it will get more comfortable over time or not. But for now, I'll try to look for better alternative masks.
If ComfortGel blue becomes more comfortable it will be an instant 5/5 stars. Until then I think I'll look for a better mask.

One top undo the head gear like the instructions show when placing it on or removing it, it will make the forehead piece last longer, though there is no doubt the piece WILL break eventually.
I'm a side sleeper and this mask wasnt for me. Wouldn't stay in place.
The VA has provided an N20 nasal mask. So far it's very good.

I never could get the mask to sit right without any leaking around nasal cushion. Small Movement of head from up to down, nasal leaks.
I am baffled at this "comfort gel" mask. Always had uncomfortable pressure on forehead or at nasal depending on adjustments. Definitely good idea to have comfort gel, but design did not work.

One of the things I've noticed about Phillips masks and products they have the tendency to go way overboard. In this product, headgear is large, bulky and uncomfortable. The nasal mask is very.large and heavy. They tend to be value priced as compared.to others such as the Resmed. If you need a backup mask, it will get by. I personally do not like this nasal mask setup. It does work as intended but very poorly due to the headgear/mask design.

I don't like the mask. I had gel mask before and they were soft. Tbis one feels very hard when it's on my face. I also getting a rash and red face. I do wash my face and tbe mask every night. I would like to return one of the mask. I've only used 1 mask, the other is still in the package.

The mask just did not fit well. The bottom part would not sit right under my nose and irritated.
When I would lay on my side the mask would pull tight on one side and loosen on the other creating a gap. I tried readjusting but no luck.
Maybe it's just the shape of my face but either way I was unable to use this mask.
The mask however, leaves something to be desired.
The black straps fit well around my head. They were easy to adjust and find a comfort spot with.
The forehead rest was also well designed.
Beyond these, my experience has with the mask has been poor.
The gel is not very deep or wide. This means there is little space to adapt to the shape of my face. Despite many nights of fiddling about, I am unable to get an even seal around my upper lip, cheek and nose bridge at the same time.
The plastic connector just above the bridge of my nose is very flimsy in design. Crucial pieces can take no lateral pressure before breaking. Whats even worse is the lack of range of the nose adjustment this piece gives. The bridge part of the blue gel is always much further from my face than the lip portion. The bridge adjuster will not move to a comfortable position.
Lastly the outer face seal is too thin. Slight movements during the night would cause high frequency vibrations leave red welts on my cheek and making high pitched noise that work my darling and me.
previous masks from this vendor have been wonderful I do not know what the engineers were thinking here.
1. the clips on the side come off during sleep
2. Its clunky, and hisses from the way it's made, air escapes constantly.
3. I have not had a restful sleep since I bought it, due to the noise and clips coming off.
Now the band that goes around the head is the best feature. its comfortable, and doesn't leave the huge grooves in your face as some of the others.
The instructions indicate that the mask should be washed before use and I did give it a light washing with dish soap and water. After the first night's use I woke up with a sore throat and swollen neck glands. This soreness went away after about 16 hours. I discontinued the use of the mask and exposed the plastic to good air circulation for a couple of weeks. I also gave the mask several more washings with soap and water. I am now happily using the new mask on a nightly basis.
I feel a stronger cautionary note should have been included in the mask packaging. The mask should be thoroughly cured and washed both before and after sale..
I had high hopes. Except around the bridge of the nose (the side plastic digs in - I have a wider nose - and there isn't enough gel there) this has the best gel I have tried. I get a deep dent in the nose area. This can not be adjusted enough to fit my face. The profile view of my face is that my chin and forehead are in a straight line. This appears to presume that the lower part of your face is offset. You can't adjust it to fit if your face isn't like this.
I gave it one star since it doesn't work for my face shape. I'd give it more stars if it fit my face.

I can’t be more disappointed than I am with this mask. It needs to be cinched so tight that it is uncomfortable for sleeping.
This is a review of the ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask. I have consistently worn a medium size mask. The medium in this mask is way too big. The layout of the seals and straps are such that it must be pulled too tight to my face so it will not leak. I tried it on, adjusted it, readjusted and readjusted it again. 20 minutes is all I could tolerate. I took it off and threw it away.
This is the problem with mail-order masks. You never know if they will fit and work until you get them. Once you find one that fits it is then either discontinued or "improved" to the point it no longer fits.

The mask still has a strong plastic smell no matter how many times I have washed it.
It does not fit well on my face.
It leaks air at all time I must stay still for it not to leak air.
