One of the smallest CPAP machines in its class, the APEX XT Auto CPAP Machine delivers quality sleep therapy at home or on the go.

With a built-in power supply and detachable humidifier, it maintains a small footprint to save space on your nightstand or in your luggage.

Compared to other home auto CPAPs, the APEX XT is extremely compact and lightweight. But it offers the same effective therapy with a user-friendly LCD interface and features like:

Pressure Variation Algorithm (PVA) - makes it easier to breathe out against your CPAP pressure
Ramp (CPAP mode only) - lets you fall asleep easier by gradually increasing pressure to your prescribed setting

Often wake up with a dry mouth, nose, and throat? Get the optional XT Heated Humidifier and enjoy warm, soothing sleep therapy. The humidifier delivers up to 8 hours of continuous use with a full tank (450ml) of water and features 6 adjustable humidity levels.

Prescription Required

Does the APEX XT Auto adjust pressure automatically?

Yes, the APEX XT Auto is an auto CPAP machine which automatically adjusts pressure within a set minimum and maximum pressure range. It also has a standard CPAP mode with a fixed pressure.

Can I use the APEXT XT Auto on a plane?

The APEX XT Auto is FAA-approved for in-flight use. We recommend packing it as a carry-on and bringing a copy of the FAA compliance letter.

Please note that airline policies regarding in-flight CPAP use can vary. Always familiarize yourself with your airline’s on-board CPAP use policy prior to traveling.

How loud is the APEX XT Auto Travel CPAP?

With an operation noise of 28 dBA, the XT Auto is quieter than a whisper (30 dBA).

Does the XT Auto come with a battery?

The XT Auto does not come with a battery. However, it is compatible with many third party lithium-ion CPAP batteries.

Does the XT Auto come with a heated tube?

The XT Auto comes with a non heated standard tubing that is compatible with all CPAP masks. It does not support heated tubing.

How often should I replace my APEX XT Auto CPAP accessories?

The washable foam filter and tubing should be replaced every 6 months for optimal hygiene.

What are the default settings for the APEX XT Auto?

The default settings are:

Pressure: 4-20 cm H₂O
Ramp Time: 10 minutes
Ramp Start Pressure: 3 cm H₂O
Ramp: On
PVA Pressure Relief: Off
Alarm: Off

However, your APEX XT Auto CPAP will arrive preset with the therapy pressure indicated on your prescription.

Q. What tubing is compatible with this machine? I have a Resmed Air Sense 11 I use at home. And does the machine come with a travel case or bag that will fit mask, tubing and machine?

A. This machine is compatible with all standard non-heated hoses. It comes with one as well.

It does come with a carrying case that will fit the machine, the humidifier, and has space for the mask and tubing as well.

Q. How do I access the clinical menu, it is blowing too much air.

A. You will need to contact your provider or you will need to log into your clinical settings. Push the book button to get you to the setting you want to change and hold down the up and down button at the same time till it is flashing. Push the up and down button to increase and decrease the pressure and then click the book button again. Hope this helps!

I bought this machine because it was very mobile. It is a great backup and a prime CPAP machine. I liked it so much that I bought 2 of them. They are a great machine and reliable. It gets the Job done and I am happy that it has a huge water reservoir. No more waking up with dry sinus. The machine has the right air pressure and it works very well. I am very pleased that it is reliable and never needed to worry that the heating unit burn out compared to the Philips.. It is made very well and will not fail you in your time of need. This is a great travel machine. While the Apex XT doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of my Resmed Airsense 10, it cetainly gets the job done for a good nights sleep. Its small size, internal power supply and light weight makes taking it along easy. The slight increase in noise level over the Airsense was almost completely eliminated by adding a soft hose cover. Oh, and of course, it's half the price of the Resmed Mini and can use any mask,

This machine is much better than the one I had before. I am able to sleep through the night . Allowing myself to get my 7 to 8 hours of rest each night. Let me tell you before I was getting up every couple hours . Waking up not able to return to sleep on certain nights. Needless to say 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Doesn't make for a great day. But now I can sleep much better thank god.

to know that the cpap mode is not for me. Else, I have to buy two machines before I figure out which meets my need.

This machine helps me sleep well at night, and my health improves dramatically! Should have used it a long time ago, when my doctor told me I needed one, but didn't have the means to get one then. The price is perfect for my budget. At first I didn't think I need the humidifier, but bought it anyway because I read on your website that it helps prevents dryness. Good advice, thanks guys.

This is my first purchased from Respshop.com and im very pleased with the machine, I have been sleeping so good and so as my partner. The XT Auto has 3 different settings I can choose from to adjust the pressure relief that suits my needs. User friendly machine, all my therapy information is saved on the SC card and I can easily link it to my PC to view all my sleep therapy data. The heated humidifier is an a plus for me it helps with my dry throat or nasal congestion. Water chamber is easy to care for, dish washer safe but I prefer hand washing it with warm water.

The other day, I was talking to some patients waiting in the doctor's office about cpap machines. This is my first time using it, so I didn't know what machine to choose. My doctor just prescribed to me a cpap machine with pressure settings at 10cm.

After talking and comparing machines and prices, I have reached my decision to purchase the XT Auto, since it automatically detects at which pressures I need while asleep. I tried the cpap mode, it works fine for a few nights. Got curious and tried using the APAP mode, and I thought it is much easier for me than when it was running at fixed pressure. It seems quiet for a machine that blows air all the time when it's on. Next time, I'll purchase a humidifier to go with it. Not bad for a machine at this price, and a free mask!

I usually have the respironics system one auto machine, but I forgot to take it with me on my current business trip. It's a bigger machine so traveling with it hasnt always been easy. I decided to try this apex machine because it was small, they say palm sized and its really is that small, and I figured it would be easier to take with me as I am a frequent traveler for work.

I was lucky in that I could get it shipped with next day delivery, and I have used the machine for a few nights. So far I am impressed. Not sure how it will be as an every day machine like my respironics one, but seeing as I only plan on using it for travel, I would say I am really satisfied.

Pretty good unit except the humidifying is inadequate. Uses just 1/3 of the water tank each night. Also, to turn off the heater you have to use the switch - not enough just to push the button to turn off the air.

My main concern is the size. Considering the expense, I incorrectly assumed this machine was more compact, but it is honestly not much smaller than my regular machine. A bit disappointed.

Thank you for your review! I agree this is not the smallest travel machine, however, I do find this machine to be very versatile. I use it without the humidifier when I travel so I don't damage my home machine, and its also a great back up machine when you add the water chamber. Since it is a bit bigger than the smaller travel devices it tends to be quieter.

The machine arrived in good shape except the cable. The cable come in with a crocked plug prongs. I have to use a lot of force to bend them to their original position. And I don't know how long that cable plug prongs could last. I don't know if we could even get a replacement of that cable.

I was asked to write this review. Can't tell you how the machine works. I had to send it back. The instrument panel had gunk on it which, after removed, revealed permanent damage to the plastic and a cracked on/off button. I was really dismayed about the lack of quality control. These guys are very nice on the phone and so I have asked them to make sure the machine they send to me as a replacement has no manufacturing flaws, so that we don't have to go through this again. I sure hope the machine works well. This model gets great reviews. I've no idea why the one I received was all screwed up. It took two days after I made my order for the machine to be shipped. Another week to receive. It will take another week for it to get back to them in Seattle. Then I don't know how long for them to send me the replacement. but after they ship it will be another week. So overall, it will have taken well over three weeks total to receive the brand new, undamaged machine which I paid for. But these are really nice people, I know they are extremely busy, and bad things do happen. So I recommend them highly. They are a lot of fun!

New CPAP components may emit a rubber-like smell due to something called outgassing, which is a temporary smell caused by the materials used to make the tubing. This odor will fade over time, but you can speed up the process by running your machine while not in use during the day

Got this with intention to replace my old Devibliss Cpap that I have for years.
Received in good condition but machine did not work to expectation. Was on Auto mode but my wife is complaining that my snoring returns. Switched back to the old machine, everything was fine and sleep quality is good.
