Please note: Rental machines do NOT support Bluetooth capability or the MySleepDash App. To view your data while renting, download the software here and connect the rental machine to your laptop/desktop using the included USB-A to USB-C data cable. Please be aware that this software is NOT compatible with Mac computers. The device will be set up based on the prescription you provide before shipping it to you.

Note: CPAP masks and batteries are sold separately.

Subject: Transcend Micro Auto Travel
I have rented the Transcend Micro Auto Travel CPAP machine to test. It's wonderful! Very compact, simple to use, and isn't loud at all. In fact I rented it because my Resmed 10 was making a grinding noise after only 2.5 years of use the the Transcend is nearly as quiet as the 10 was new. I can carry it in a purse and not have to worry about traveling with a large bag. So very pleased that I plan to purchase it.

Perhaps I missed something on your website, but for how long is the rental period. In other words how many days can I use it before returning?

Or is number determined when you order and charges are prorated?

Answer

The Rental period is a minimum of one month. You can rent for as long as you need. Shipping is included to and from. Rent begins the day of purchase. Included shipping is 2 - 8 business days. There are expedited shipping options if needed.

I am taking two trips about three months apart, first a short stay and then a longer one. I'd like to try out this rental on the first one, and consider whether to rent or buy before the second. Would I have to pay the setup fee both times?

Answer

Hello Steve,
Yes, the set up fee would be charged both times. The fee covers, technician time to fully sanitize, set the device up with pressures, and test device for function prior to shipping. It will also cover some of the cost of shipping too and fourth, new accessories (filters, hose, muffler kit etc)

How recent a prescription do you need for rental?

Answer

We will accept a prescription of any year. Please note we set your rental device up using the Rx, if your current prescription does not have your correct pressures, we do suggest obtaining a updated prescription. If you have a difficult time obtaining a prescription, we do have RespRx, a 10 min appointment with a sleep specialist, the fee is $69.00.

Can this be packed in the checked bag or only in a carry-on?

Answer

We highly suggest bringing this in your carry on as checked baggage would sometimes just be thrown and it's not safe for the machine. But we highly suggest checking with the airline you are flying with as each airline has different regulations on CPAPs or medical devices.

We plan to use our own mask. Other than the kit and the European adapter; is there anything additional (filters, etc.) we need to purchase for a two week trip?

Answer

The Rental will not come with the waterless Airmist HME Kit. If you are wanting some moisture I do recommend adding the Model: 505009, this will come with enough airmists to last you a month. You should be good to other than that.

How soon can you deliver? Do you need doctors prescription?

Answer

Yes, we require a prescription, and as for shipping, as long as we have your prescription and the authorization hold requirement on your credit card is approved, we typically can ship out the same or next day depending on the time you order(3PM PST cut-off time & closed on weekends).

From there, the standard shipping is through UPS and they will typically take 3-8 business days.

There are also options for expedited shipping available that you can select and pay extra if you want it to arrive faster as fast as 1 business day.

Do I have to purchase a hose, headgear or do the supplies from my resmed CPAP work with this?

Answer

Your rental will come with the Transcend Micro Auto CPAP machine, machine power supply, CPAP tubing, travel drawstring pouch and quick guide. If you have a mask that works for you at home, you will be able to use it with this set up.

I will be travelling to the UK. Will this machine work with an international power adapter?

Answer

Yes it will work. Just make sure the voltage is the same and if not you will need to purchase a voltage convertor. Your Travel rep will be able to help you with that.
