SleepRes V-Com CPAP and BiPAP Comfort Accessory

Designed to make adjusting to CPAP and BiPAP therapy easier, the SleepRes V-Com™ reduces inspiratory pressure without affecting your therapy settings.

Simply add the V-Com between your CPAP mask and hose to enjoy quieter, more comfortable PAP therapy. Once you've adjusted to your machine's airflow pressure, you can remove the V-Com.

Key Features

  • Reduces inspiratory pressure & flow without lowering expiratory pressure (EPAP) or prescribed pressure*.
  • Durable, easy to clean
  • Reduces noise, air leaks and aerophagia (air swallowing)
  • Suitable for CPAP and bi-level therapy

*Lowering EPAP and/or prescribed pressure can lead to more breathing events, negatively affecting sleep therapy effectiveness.

V-Com softens high airflow intake to make therapy easier to adjust to. At the same time, it maintains expiratory pressure (EPAP) to prevent obstructive breathing events.
No, the V-Com does not affect oxygen therapy in CPAP or BiPAP circuits.
The V-Com does not require a prescription.
How long you use the V-Com comfort accessory is completely up to you. You can use it for as long as needed to make PAP therapy more comfortable.
Please refer to the V-Com Patient Information Guide for cleaning instructions.
The V-Com should be replaced every 3 months or if it becomes damaged or shows signs of decreased airflow.

1–4 of 4 Questions
Q. Where do I place my v-com in the circuit?
A. The v-com will have to be as closet to the mask as possible!
Q. I have the AirMini from ResMed. When I breathe out there is a significant noise. I am considering getting a Q-Lite or V-Com to help reduce the noise. Which do you think will work the best? Can I use the Q-Lite and V-Com together?
A. I would suggest purchasing the Q-lite muffler kit which helps with reducing the noise. The V-com works better for customers who have a difficult time tolerating the air pressure, making it easy for inhale and exhale relief.
Q. Hi,
I have the AirMini from ResMed. I use the AirFit N20. When I breathe in and out through the nose there is a noise during the duration of my inhalation or exhalation. Do you think, honestly, the V-Com will help me and reduce the noise ?
Thanks in advance.
A. Yes, the V-Com does help decrease the sound of your respiration. Many customers are happy to have this option.
Q. Does it work when using just nose type only
A. You can use this with any style full face or nasal style mask. The V-Com should be placed between the circuit tube (hose) and the interface (mask).

Subject: V-Com - Took some time to get used to it
Great product, at first I had trouble adjusting but now I can't sleep without it - really makes CPAP therapy easier but you do need to get used to it - it's not very noticeable at first but when you try it then go without it you can tell the difference in pressure. Worth it!

Subject: Sleepwear with Vcom
I was looking into CPAC Masks, Before my sleep study. I came across the Dreamweaver Anew CLOTH MASK. When I had the sleep study they used a few different Pillow types and a few regular Full Face ones. None sealed properly for other big plastic full face mask.

I've beed around others using a CPAC. I found noise of the CPAC hurt my ears. I have Autism and very noise sensitive. I told this the to doctor and was that is old ones. New ones are very quit. When telling the Seelp therapist about this I was told the same thing.

When I asked about Anew Cloth Mask. They kept on pushing the plastic ones in stock! I found the big plastic full face masks very uncomfortable. The newer CPAC where quieter. Still could hear the valve open and close. And the air hitting plastic. I could feel the mask lift my face, with mild air lose. The CPAC said good mask seal. Was getting 88 to 95 score from app on CPAC.

I got them to order a Dreamweaver Anew. It was much easier to put on. I found it took about a week to get it adjusted to seal and not be to tight/loss. The Anew is much quieter. The mask takes some pressure of the valve system so it makes less noise. I found for me it was not as frustrating in moving around, with mosty side sleeping. The app on CPAC Airsense 11 was giving me 84 to 88 for the sleep score. It is do to the CPAC isn't programed for the softer mask. It tinks it has a leak. I would hear mild air leaks on exhaling. Was still quieter for me than the Plastic type. I like it more because I don't feel this big plastic block pushing into my face
