SmartFlex Technology
DeVilbiss focuses on providing you exhalation relief with 3 levels of customizable pressure reduction and six rounding options, in order to personalize the transition between inhalation and exhalation. IntelliPAP, like many current pressure reduction technologies reduces exhalation pressure by 1cmH20 per level up to 3cmH20. However, the IntelliPAP stands apart from other pressure relief systems with its transitional rounding technology, that stops you from adverse IPAP/EPAP pressure changes. Pressure drops during exhalation and often the increase back to the prescribed therapy setting can disrupt the sleep cycle, which can cause discomfort. The innovative rounding technology preserves the benefits of pressure comfort by making it seamless.

SmartCode is a very simple way to see the data of your sleep performance without the need for additional software. Your very first treatment is recorded on the IntelliPAP and a special SmartCode is generated on your DeVilbiss CPAP device. Each time a SmartCode is generated it is encrypted with a unique code. The DeVilbiss IntelliPAP CPAP is able to discern compliance using the Adherence Score, and doctors use the Adherence percentage score to determine your compliance with CPAP LCD. The SmartCodes report Adherence on the best consecutive 30 days of usage, and codes can be generated for the following calendar schedule: 1 Day, 7 Days, 30 Days, 90 Days, Cumulative.

The IntelliPAP AutoAdjust CPAP Machine with Heated Humidifier is perfect if you prefer a built-in humidifier. Do I have to use the AutoAdjust mode?
No. You can use your IntelliPAP in a conventional CPAP mode. However, once you experience the SmartFlex technology firsthand, we're willing to bet you won't look back!

I initially had some difficulty because it came preset for a much lower pressure than my prescription. One message to RespShop and I got instructions on how to make the adjustment myself & it worked like a charm.
One thing; the instructions on filling the water tank for the humidifier are not very helpful; I made my best guess and it has seemed to work.
This machine is unlike most other cpap machine. It has a minimum pressure of 3 cm H20, whereas the others have their minimum pressure starting at 4 cm H20. It is easy to make changes to my settings, customize to my needs. Sometimes I use the machine in CPAP mode, and at other times, I used it in auto mode. It is quiet, has no power brick, so it is a light with the humidification system sits at the bottom of the machine, that way it can't spill water in the machine. Nice design. It has a 3-year warranty, unlike most other cpap machines they 2-year warranty only. The Smartflex feature is very smooth, I felt no “interruptions” while breathing from pressure to pressure. Good machine for a great price! Shipping is fast, customer service is efficient and knowledgeable.
it was a hard decision where to buy or not this machine, of course comparing it vs a S9. But right now, I am clearly convinces it was the best choice.
The FedEx air express service was great, it took more for Customs to clear it on import (to Romania, EU member).
