Why do you need a heated CPAP hose?
The main reason for a heated hose is to avoid moisture build-up in the CPAP tube.
If you use a fan at night or if your bed is near a window, sometimes the moisture from the humidifier can condense and pool in the hose before it gets to your airway.
When this happens, it can wake you up by creating a loud popping sound as the air blows past the water, and in some cases can cause what we refer to as "rain out" where the water starts to splash onto your face or pour into your nose.
The heated hose insulates the air from the cooler temperatures in your room to avoid this.
You can also adjust the heat in the hose for your comfort making this a great option for the standard hose!

Subject: Nice Tubing, But too short.
I had 8 foot tubing with my previous CPAP. Since using this short 6 foot tubing I have pulled my CPAP machine off my bedside stand 3 times in past year. That is more than I had previously experienced with the longer tubing in 8 years.
I do wish they had this tubing in a longer length.

Give us a call because we do have longer tubing available

When I got my machine not one told me that I could get a heated tube. I am very grateful for the Respshop representative that told me about the heated tube when I was ordering. This heated tube works just like it says it does, and is easy to install.

Subject: Head Gear
The headgear that I received from the Respshop has been a good accessory to my new cpap. I have not liked nasal headgear until now. The device is comfortable and not at all cumbersome. I think anyone who tries it will be pleased

I really like the fact that it is very thin. If it gets stuck under my body while sleeping I won't even feel it.

Question
My tubing gets hot at nite
Answer
Yes you have a heated tube and it will get warm. I would suggest turning down the humidifier and tubing setting. Thank you
Question
Is there a heated tube that is 22mm?
Answer
Hello, I am sorry this is the only heated tube.
Question
My sleep apnea therapist has prescribed an "O2 Bleed Adapter" to be attached between the hose (Respironics Catalog (REF) # 1105180 (about 17" L) coming from Nuance Pro Gel Pillows Mask, W/ HGR, DOM, Respironics Catalog (REF) # 1105167 inserted between the Hose REF # 1105180 and the Philips Heated Tube for DreamStation/System One CPAPs - 15mm, Respironics Catalog (REF) # HT15.
I am replacing my current Nuance Pro Gel Pillows Mask, W/ HGR, DOM, Respironics Catalog (RER) # 1105167 with DreamWear Silicone Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask by Philips - 2021 version, But it appears there is no extra 17" Hose that I can use between the Heated Hose and the point where the headgear connects. Please let me know soonest what you find. Thank you!
Answer
The Oxygen adapter should connect between the mask and the tubing when using a heated hose. If you are still having issues please contact our office and we will be happy to help.
Question
Will using this heated tube prevent my mask from filling up with moisture during the night because it's so cold in my room?
Answer
Yes the tube will help with that issue. Thank you
Question
