CPAP Tube Brush Cleaner for CPAP Patients

This Tube Brush is designed specifically for cleaning the inside of your CPAP/BiPAP tubing. If left uncleaned, moisture inside your breathing tube can lead to mold and mildew growth. Using this tube brush helps prevent the accumulation of moisture in the hose, promoting optimal hygiene and extending the life of your tubing.

The stainless steel wire is both sturdy and flexible. It retains its shape even when threaded down the length of the hose, and it is flexible enough to give your CPAP hose a thorough scrubbing. If you've ever wondered how soaking your CPAP hose constitutes as "cleaning," stop wondering and pick up a tube brush to start actively cleaning!

Two Sizes and Multiple Lengths

This versatile CPAP tube brush comes in two sizes to thoroughly clean both standard (22mm) and slim (15mm) tubing. Multiple lengths are available.

If you have a standard tube, choose the 22mm diameter tube brush. The following lengths are available for the 22mm brush:

  • Standard (3.5 ft)
  • Long (5 ft)
  • Extra Long (6.5 ft)

If you have a slim tube, choose the 15mm diameter tube brush. Only 1 length is available for the 15mm brush.

  • Extra Long (6.5 ft)

Instructions:

  • Carefully unwind your tube brush while holding both ends.
  • If this is your first time using the brush, wash the brush with warm water and mild detergent and rinse with cool water.
  • Fill a basin or sink with warm water and add a few drops of mild detergent. Soak the hose in the warm, soapy water.
  • Holding the tube as straight as possible to prevent damage, insert the tube brush into the tube. Gently brush the sides in short strokes, and slowly work further down the tube.  Once the tube brush is halfway down the hose, pull the brush out and insert into the other end of the hose to clean the other side.
  • Thoroughly rinse the tubing with clean water to remove any soap residue.
  • Hang the hose up to air dry away from direct sunlight.
  • Gently pat your tube brush bristles with a towel, and hang to air dry.

Question
What is the diameter of the metal ring on the opposite end from the brush? I envision dropping the ring end of the brush through the CPAP tubing and pulling the brush through the tubing. Will the ring fit through standard CPAP tubing easily? Or is it designed to be oversized and not enter the tubing? Is the outside of the ring smooth so that it will not catch on or scratch the tubing?

Answer
Hi there, the ring is only meant to be the last part of the brush that you can hold onto when feeding the cleaning brush through your tubing. So that you can put your finger through and pull/push the wire brush through to clean the tube. It is not really mean for you to put the ring through and pull out the other end. You would generally switch sides and go through the other end to clean.
