The AirTouch F20’s memory foam cushion offers a good seal with facial hair, including full beards. The memory foam cushion stays in place more effectively than silicone cushions. Memory foam also offers a softer fit and is more comfortable on sensitive skin.
What is the difference between the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 full face masks?
The AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 share the same frame, headgear and elbow connector. The only difference between the two is the material of the full face cushion. The AirFit F20 features a silicone cushion while the AirTouch F20 features a memory foam cushion.
How do I clean my AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear
Daily cleaning: frame, elbow
As needed: cushion
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak the frame, elbow and headgear in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
- Scrub the vent holes on the elbow with a soft bristle brush.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
Clean the cushion with CPAP wipes or other alcohol-free wipes as needed. Do not rinse or submerge the cushion in liquid.
How often should I replace my AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months. However, for best performance, the memory foam cushion should be replaced more frequently, ideally every month.
My ResMed AirTouch F20 mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your AirTouch F20 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.

Look, if you’ve spent years fighting with different masks while trying to keep your beard, the F20 is honestly a total game-changer. Most of those silicone masks are useless because they just can't get a solid seal over facial hair. You tighten the straps until your face hurts just to stop the leaks This one uses a memory foam cushion instead and the foam actually molds into your beard and fills those tiny gaps between the hairs. It’s way more comfortable, it doesn't leave those deep red marks on your nose. The only real bummer is that you can’t dunk the foam in water to clean it, You got to wipe it with a damp microfiber cloth using only distilled water. And even then it will have to be replaced at some point.

I have tried several different masks with varying success. This mask fits comfortably with very little leak each during the night. It’s the first mask that my husband has not complained about noise during the night. I’m getting a better quality sleep. I wish they had fitted with me with this mask at the beginning.

More comfortable than the airfit F20, and cooler in the summer. I started out with the F40, and had trouble with it rubbing my nose raw on the underside in the middle, I couldn’t get the F30i to seal properly, so I have stuck with the F20. I loved the air fit version, and then tried the AirTouch version. At first, I liked the AirTouch better, because the AirTouch wasn’t sealing as well up by the bridge of my nose. I came to find out that if I moved the top strap back further on the top of my head, it would seal properly, and was more comfortable, and it didn’t mess my hair up as bad like that. I love the mask, and will keep trying different mask options to see if something ever does come out that’s better for me, but for now, I haven’t found anything better than the AirTouch F20 for me.

I am a mouth breather and so I use a full face mask. This one works well. I haven't tried that many different masks and this one just works. I like that it doesn't have anything on my forehead. Every now and then it leaks but that has more to do with the way I sleep than the mask. I would recommend it as a good functional mask.

I wish that I could use a nasal mask but they just don't work for me. The foam cushion of the AirTouch is way more comfortable than the silicone mask that I used to use. I have less trouble with leaks and the marks left on my face in the morning are less severe.
