Is the AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask a good choice if I have facial hair?

The AirTouch F20’s memory foam cushion offers a good seal with facial hair, including full beards. The memory foam cushion stays in place more effectively than silicone cushions. Memory foam also offers a softer fit and is more comfortable on sensitive skin.

What is the difference between the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 full face masks?

The AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 share the same frame, headgear and elbow connector. The only difference between the two is the material of the full face cushion. The AirFit F20 features a silicone cushion while the AirTouch F20 features a memory foam cushion.

How do I clean my AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear

Daily cleaning: frame, elbow

As needed: cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak the frame, elbow and headgear in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Scrub the vent holes on the elbow with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
  5. Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Clean the cushion with CPAP wipes or other alcohol-free wipes as needed. Do not rinse or submerge the cushion in liquid.

How often should I replace my AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months. However, for best performance, the memory foam cushion should be replaced more frequently, ideally every month.

My ResMed AirTouch F20 mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your AirTouch F20 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

No problems with the fit or comfort.
My issue is the unsealed memory foam design. The mask can only be cleaned with CPAP wipes, which to NOTHING for porous foam surfaces.
I didn't discover this until AFTER purchasing the mask and opening the box. ResMed has included a note stating the mask cannot be immersed or cleaned with soap/water and should also be REPLACED every MONTH!!
The memory foam absorbs everything, facial oil, drool, etc... Horrible design.

This mask is a bit smaller than the F10 I had, but I like it much better with the foam.

This mask feels terrible. Whoever designed this mask must not have a nose. The nose portion of the mask is too narrow and pinches so I can't breath out of my nose. Also, the top part of the mask (the bridge of the nose) feels too long and pushes up in between my eyes. I ordered a large mask and I keep checking to make sure it was the right size because it feels too small. You don't have a lot of room to adjust the straps if you have larger head. The back of the head gear feels too tight and I can't adjust it.

The foam lining does feel nice and soft, but it doesn't matter when your nose is being pinched and the top of the mask is pushing up in between your eyes.

What I do like about this mask is the bottom clip on part. It's magnetized and has a unique clip on system.

I know everyone is different, but this mask feels terrible. I've spent $154.00 on a mask that feels too small and I can't return.
