I bought this machine in June 2015 after renting the same model for a month in 2014. My initial impression was that my new machine was not as comfortable or as effective as the rental one, but I was suffering from flu when I began using it, and that makes exhalation through the nose almost impossible. Now that I have recovered from the flu, I am getting six or seven hours of therapy per night, and my sleep is deep enough that I am waking up feeling refreshed for the first time in months. The main positives of the DS560 for me are:
Automatic pressure setting - I doubt I could tolerate fixed-pressure CPAP therapy, after a very uncomfortable fixed-pressure sleep study
Data window - I can check my Therapy Hours, AHI and 90% Pressure every morning when I get up
Quiet running - almost completely silent during operation
Price - reasonable compared to some other brands
Size and weight - At 1.36kg, it weighs the same as my laptop. I will likely take it on business trips overseas with me as hand luggage
I commend RespShop for giving me a supply of white (inner) filters and a spare 22mm tube with my order, but I wish overseas delivery could be less expensive. USPS delivery to Asia inflated the price by some 13%.
I use my DS560 with the Respironics Wisp nasal mask, and they seem to be a good combination.
