Subject: ResMed AirMini Auto Travel CPAP
Appreciate being able to rent the AirMini for an upcoming trip so I could test drive this before leaving and to determine if this could be a possible replacement for my existing home unit (Resvent iBreeze). The iBreeze is heavy and bulky to transport while the AirMini is a fraction of the size and weight so that part is great. I also like the AirMini app which gives you immediate access to the previous night's sleep data (usage hours, mask seal, events per hour, etc.). With the iBreeze, I have to remove a memory card and download the data to an online portal to see the history. I also purchased the AirMini adapter so I could use my existing hose and nasal cushion mask (Philips Nuance Nasal Pillow) which works great. The main issue with the AirMini is that the airflow noise is MUCH louder compared to my iBreeze. The machine itself is not loud, just the airflow at the mask and only during the inhale cycle. Breathing out is quiet but breathing in so loud with the noise right in front of your face that it took me much longer to fall asleep and then it would eventually wake me up and then couldn't get back to sleep. That led me to do some online research and found lots of other people complaining about this issue. Based on the research, I decided to buy a "CPAP muffler" for $20 (Q-Lite Inline CPAP Muffler) despite mixed reviews. Instructions showed to install the muffler to the AirMini and then attach your CPAP hose and then the nasal mask. I tested this configuration with a phone-based decibel app and found the noise to be only slightly less noisy than my mask and hose connected directly to the AirMini. So I attached my hose to the AirMini, then the muffler and then my mask to the muffler and found the noise level was almost as quiet as my iBreeze setup (based on the decibel app readings). I've now had two straight nights of successful sleep so feel comfortable taking this on a 10-day trip. Without the muffler, I wouldn't use the AirMini which is too bad as everything else about it is great - so my overall rating is based on using the muffler with the AirMini.
Subject: Review of Customer Service/Air Mini CPAP
appreciated the strong, professional and courteous medical support staff answering my many questions re the Air Mini Travel CPAP machine. I feel the products and tech support is very high quality. One weak area seems to be the minimal manual guide provided for this product. It is somewhat difficult to comprehend just what data is collected by the machine, with or without the bluetooth software that is meant for the machine. This could be explained in more detail for the new user (e.g. whether the machine will gather/record/save the data if the bluetooth switch is off. Apparently, turning off the machine's power switch will not turn the machine off if it remains plugged into a 110 VAC outlet and the power light does not remain illuminated in this instance. A bit more detail on the operating features in these areas would be helpful.

My wife and I last year decided we wanted to go on a two week long trip to Europe. We chose to only bring one bag between the two of us to avoid any delays in our vacation. I have been a resmed CPAP user for awhile, however my current home machine felt too large for this length of a trip. I phoned Respshop and discussed renting a travel machine. They informed me that they had the Resmed Airmini which seemed like a great fit for what I needed. I was able to use my own mask as they also provided an adapter so I did not have to purchase a different mask setup which saved me money. Since I was unable to retrieve my prescription from my provider, they also were able to provide me with an appointment online with a physician the next day to receive an updated prescription. Returning the device was also a breeze as the return label was just a phone call away! If only the team at Respshop were able to change the weather of my trip, it would have been even more perfect! I will be using them again in the future for any rentals I may want or need.

I was pleasantly surprised at how sufficient the humidity was with the AirMist attachment and the machine was not as noisy as I thought it would be. Worth it for travel.
Subject: Didn't work for me
I can't say whether it was the ResMed P10 CPAP Setup Pack or the AirMini itself, or both, but something didn't work right for me. According to the AirMini App "test drive," I could never get the mask to work without leakage. I did everything it suggested, everything the Respshop customer service rep said, and everything I knew to do after years of using a full sized CPAP, and nothing worked. Plus, the P10 strap is highly prone to slipping during the night. On top of the mask "leakage," the AirMini itself high-pitch whined on both inhale and exhale, and the noise of the P10 connector/HumidX housing was intrusive. So, not only was this a failed attempt, even if successful, it would mean spending around $200 each time I would want to rent the system in the future.

I am sorry to hear the Airmini did not work for you. The rental does come with a standard tube and tubing connector, feel free to connect that with the mask you have at home to see if that works for you better. Due to sizing of the machines the travel machines are much louder than the full time CPAP.

I rented one of these units to determine if it would work for my wife and I (we both use CPAP) for an upcoming trip. We rented an extra humidity chamber and used our own masks. The machine works amazingly well. Very easy to set up with the app downloaded from the App Store. It is really quiet. We wanted to try it out before renting us each a unit for an upcoming month long trip. After using it a few nights each we were so impressed that we purchased two units, one for each of us. We are looking forward to traveling with these tiny little machines and not having to drag two full size CPAP devices along with us. Subject: LOVE the AirMini CPAP from ResMed
I am so thankful to have a travel CPAP as quiet and compact. During an extended trip with numerous moves between islands and lodgings it was so simple to pack up and so small it fit in my backpack or suitcase. It operates so quietly and effectively too. Auto On/Off and ramp up performed well. Well worth having. I would not have been able to bring my full size unit on this trip without leaving behind my flowery Hawaiian shirts, colorful board shorts, 3 hats and other "Island" essentials! Thanks ResShop.

Decided to rent. Thoughtfully packed, impeccably clean --- Book of directions included. Very happy.
Only thing, wish for a small charge they could have included the face mask for moisture --- have wondered if I'd like that best.

Subject: Loved my mini rental
The thought of traveling to Japan for a month without my CPAP was an uncomfortable thought but my full size unit had gone out just days before my departure. I found the mini rental online and have been thrilled with it. It was easy to pack and has worked as well if not better than my full size unit. The Respshop was helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would definitely rent the mini the next time I travel.

Wow! What more can I add the Air Mini by Res Med is absolutely FANTABULUOS! I’ve needed a device with humidification for my work trips and travel for years and this small unit is just what I’ve needed. Easy setup and the smart app works like a charm, even for an old guy like myself.

As for the F30i mask, yes, this is compatible with the rental airmini cause the machine comes with a mask adapter and a standard tube. Just take note that humidification is just not an option for this setup.
