CPAP Nasal Mask with Headgear - ComfortGel Blue by Mark Bloom Date Added: Thursday 25 May, 2017
CPAP Nasal Mask with Headgear - ComfortGel Blue
As always, Respshop ordering and delivery was spot on. The mask however, leaves something to be desired. The black straps fit well around my head. They were easy to adjust and find a comfort spot with. The forehead rest was also well designed. Beyond these, my experience has with the mask has been poor. The gel is not very deep or wide. This means there is little space to adapt to the shape of my face. Despite many nights of fiddling about, I am unable to get an even seal around my upper lip, cheek and nose bridge at the same time. The plastic connector just above the bridge of my nose is very flimsy in design. Crucial pieces can take no lateral pressure before breaking. Whats even worse is the lack of range of the nose adjustment this piece gives. The bridge part of the blue gel is always much further from my face than the lip portion. The bridge adjuster will not move to a comfortable position. Lastly the outer face seal is too thin. Slight movements during the night would cause high frequency vibrations leave red welts on my cheek and making high pitched noise that work my darling and me. previous masks from this vendor have been wonderful I do not know what the engineers were thinking here.

Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask by Marvin Yale Date Added: Thursday 25 May, 2017
Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask
This is the greatest product since sliced bread. I love it ! My past mask hurt me so at the bridge of my nose and I began not using the system. This new Dreamware mask is so comfortable and easy to put on and the quick disconnect on the mask to the hose is a godsend. I just recommend this mask to my two cousins who use cpap. My fiancée thanks you as she can sleep now and not hear me snoring.

Respironics Tubing Wrap - 22mm by Paul Bakkom Date Added: Wednesday 24 May, 2017
Respironics Tubing Wrap - 22mm
This is the best accessory out there!!!! Makes my CPAP hose comfortable draped over my neck at night since I am a side sleeper. I went to an auto supply place and got some adhesive back Velcro strips to apply to the hose connection on my mask. Then the end piece of Velcro on the tubing wrap is attached to the Velcro on my mask. Never slips down. I am ordering 3 more....as gifts to my CPAP using friends. Also I want to try putting one inside another to see if the double thickness is even more cushy feeling. At this price you can afford to experiment.

XT Fit Travel CPAP Machine by Mary Lee Adler Date Added: Saturday 20 May, 2017
XT Fit Travel CPAP Machine
This is such a handy little machine for traveling. It came with a nifty carrying case that I won't be able to use on my trip to Italy (only taking carry on) but will use on future car or train trips. It fit surprisingly well into my tiny carryon bag, though, and will help me tremendously during the 3 weeks of the trip. Getting used to it is another story. The first night wasn't too bad, but the next two were awful. My brain focused on a pumping sound that is similar to that of a motorcycle revving up. Though very muted it was persistent and wouldn't leave my consciousness. Determined to make this work, I decided to wear noise canceling head phones and listen to an audio book (which I usually do, but without headphones) that is set to turn off after half an hour. Although I look like some creature from outer space with all this head gear, hoses and chin strap, it WORKS. For two nights in a row now. Fingers crossed. At least my granddaughter, who's 14 and traveling with me, shouldn't have to deal with my sleep apnea turning off grandma's switch in a foreign country.
