Q. I need this POC for international travel. I need enough batteries for an 11 hr flight. will this be included in rental?
A. The duration of the battery is dependent on the type and amount of oxygen flow you require as well as the respiratory rate that you are breathing at. The user manual suggests the battery could last as long as this:
Pulse 1: 3.4 hours
Pulse 2: 3.0 hours
Pulse 3: 2.2 hours
Pulse 4: 1.7 hours
Pulse 5: 1.3 hours
Pulse 6: 1.3 hours
Continuous 0.5: 2.9 hours
Continuous 1: 1.6 hours
Continuous 2: 0.9 hours
It is generally advisable to plug in to either an AC or DC outlet whenever possible to extend the amount of time that you can be using the machine.

Q. If I rent the poc can I travel with it international
A. Yes you may travel with it.
Q. Can I get batteries only on rent for international travel?
A. Sorry, we don't currently rent out batteries for this device.
Q. When renting this for a trip, can you rent for half a month? I need it for international travel, so may need 4 batteries for the flight. Can you provide batteries needed as well? What is included in the $299 month rental?
A. The minimum rental is for the month, you do however get an extra 10-day grace period on the first months rental to account for shipping. You receive the machine itself, power supplies, carrying case, nasal cannula and 1 standard rechargeable battery. The remaining batteries would have to be purchased as an extra.
Q. Is this portable oxygen concentrator FAA approved?
A. Yes, it is FAA approved
Q. Is the cart included with the purchase of a Philips Simply Go portable oxygen concentrator?
A. Yes, the cart is included with the Simply Go POC.
Q. What is the difference between continuous and pulse dosage on the Simply Go POC?
A. Continuous oxygen therapy flows to the end user at the prescribed dosage set on the POC. The Pulse flow option is 'on demand' flow. The end user receives the prescribed dosage of oxygen with each inhalation. Please call in to discuss this further with our medical team.
Q. Is it 3 or 4 gauge
A. The Simply Go POC has a pulse delivery range of 1 - 6 lpm. There is also a continuous flow option up to 2lpm.

Coming from a military family with my family spread out across the country, not being able to see them on a regular basis quickly affected my quality of life when I was diagnosed with COPD in 2018 and prescribed oxygen therapy shortly after that. I decided to call Respshop recently as I seen they rent a portable oxygen concentrator! This was life changing for me as someone who could not wait any longer to start traveling more frequently. I have since purchased a portable concentrator from them after testing the rental out and I could not be happier. I will be recommending Respshop to anyone I know that needs a CPAP or concentrator rental!

An upcoming Road trip from WA to AZ for a wedding lead me to RespShop. I have been on oxygen for quite sometime and usually use a tank and my stationary that I have at home. Lugging around heavy tanks and a stationary machine was going to cause too much of a hassle. My wife and I decided we would purchase an expensive portable concentrator which we really didn't have the means for but it was definitely convenient. Our local DME had no portable concentrator and referred us to RespShop where we spoke to multiple wonderful staff who helped us throughout our purchase. The first Rep I spoke to advised we could rent the machine if I was only needing it for a few weeks! This was such a great idea and cost effective. The machine was light and compact and came with a DC/AC power supply to plug to our car, free 15 ft cannula, carrying case, and battery. The battery on pulse last much longer and when I was sitting I ensured it was plugged in. The unit has a night mode, so for those like me who need nocturnal oxygen up to 2Lpm this will do the trick! It makes the same amount of noise as my stationary so we plugged it just outside the bedroom and ran a 15ft cannula to the bedroom. Worked like a charm. RespShop was amazing, they contacted my Dr for my script and the staff put in a lot of effort to ensure I got my machine in time for our road trip! Ill be coming back to rent again!

Subject: Noisy & short battery life
Most importantly, it does the job it’s supposed to , delivering oxygen.
It also has a very short battery life, ~ 2 hours. So, I need the O2 when above 5000 feet and take a tourist train ride to ~10,000 feet, and the battery runs out while I’m still up there.
The other issue is it has a fairly high humm, punctuated with a pounding sound every 5 seconds. When sleeping at 5000 feet, I needed it to sleep, and no one in the room had a comfortable sleep

Thank you for your response! I am so sorry this did not work out for you. One thing I recommend is to fully charge the battery before use AND to use the pulse dosing to help save the battery if possible.
