I like to sleep on my stomach. Is the AirTouch F30i a good mask for me?
The ResMed AirTouch F30i is a full face mask specifically designed for comfort in any position. Its top-of-the-head tube connection lets you comfortably sleep on your stomach (and change positions) without the tube getting in the way. Plus, it has a fabric-wrapped frame: Soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking for all-night comfort.
How do I clean my AirTouch F30i Full Face Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame, elbow
Daily cleaning: cushion
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
- Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the holes in the cushion and elbow.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my AirTouch F30i mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My AirTouch F30i Full Face Mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose and around your mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your AirFit F30i mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion or frame size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.

The VA gave me the F30i mask. It was comfortable as long as you are not a noise breathing stomach sleeper using a pillow like me. The problem I had was whichever nostril was down was getting pushed closed by the mask and causing the mask to shift so that the bridge in between the nostril openings was covering the other nostril. It made me feel suffocated.

I purchased this mask due to the advertising above. I am a side sleeper, and, was looking forward to this mask actually living up to its advertising, but it does not. This mask does come with a fabric-wrapped frame, however, the fabric is thin, cheap and not flexible, almost paper like. And, it isn't very soft. It is a little strip of material that doesn't do what it was intended to do, which is to cover the hard plastic port where the tube attaches to the mask. This port is on the mask is right where the cheek bones lay. Having an uncovered hard plastic port digging into my cheek whenever I turn to sleep on my side, hurts, leaves marks and doesn't allow me to get a good night's rest. The mask does fully cover the nose, which is a nice feature. And, having the air vents at the bottom is an upgrade, but with uncovered hard plastic ports that dig into a sleeper's cheek, it is definately not well designed for side or stomach sleepers.

This AirTouch F30i Comfort mask is a game changer! I absolutely love it! I have been on CPAP for 5 years - struggling through, hating it, red marks on my face every morning, crappy seal scores no matter what mask I used. Since using this mask, I’ve had perfect seal scores almost every night - the lowest 18/20. I’ve slept better and no crappy marks in my face. I’m a side sleeper and it really works well for me. I am very pleased with the AirTouch F30i. I bought the standard clear one. I happened across Ruben’s video on YouTube about different CPAP masks and I followed his recommendation on this one. I had been using the AirTouch F20 and I hated it. I would go days without using my CPAP machine because I couldn’t sleep comfortably with that thing on. The two selling points on the AirTouch F30i for me are the ability to wear my glasses while wearing the mask and to be able to sleep on my side. I’m glad I made the switch. I sleep better now.

If you are a mouth breather this is a very good hybrid mask that is super comfortable. However if you are a light sleeper than be aware that all top of the head connection masks can be a little louder with the air going past your ears.

Should have just started here rather than messing around with other masks beforehand--it's worth the price! Super quiet mask (the machine is louder than this mask) with no wind for my wife. Not as claustrophobic as other full face masks, and the fabric material doesn't give me zits like silicone ones do. I've had more mask leaks with this mask when sleeping on my side, compared to just a pillow mask, but I think that's a side effect of a) the nose portion being modeled after a nasal mask instead of a pillow mask and b) being a full face mask. It's not that big of an issue however. Maybe a CPAP pillow is in my future.

This mask works very well for me! I am more than happy to wake up without red marks on my skin and dry mouth. I am a side sleeper and can’t stand an hose hanging off of my face. After trying this mask, I will be using it full time.

I am new to CPAP and trying a couple masks to see what works best for me. The AirTouch because the hose that goes along your face is wrapped and helps limit irritation. The “comfort” helps make a better seal. However as a mouth breather, I do wake up with cotton mouth. Because the features of this mask were so good I decided to try the AirTouch N30i comfort and you a chin strap- and that is working best for me.
I must say the service from ResMed is incredible! Extremely fast shipping and when I called with a question they were so nice and helpful.

I switched from the AirFit F20 to the AirTouch F30i, and it’s a big improvement in comfort. The top of the head hose connection makes a huge difference. I no longer have to deal with the tube getting in my way when I change positions at night. The headgear fabric feels softer, and the face cushion is more comfortable as well. Overall, a great upgrade.
