Frequently Asked Questions

I like to sleep on my stomach. Is the AirTouch F30i a good mask for me?

The ResMed AirTouch F30i is a full face mask specifically designed for comfort in any position. Its top-of-the-head tube connection lets you comfortably sleep on your stomach (and change positions) without the tube getting in the way. Plus, it has a fabric-wrapped frame: Soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking for all-night comfort.

How do I clean my AirTouch F30i Full Face Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame, elbow

Daily cleaning: cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the holes in the cushion and elbow.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
  5. Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my AirTouch F30i mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

My AirTouch F30i Full Face Mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose and around your mouth.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your AirFit F30i mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion or frame size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

Customers praised this CPAP cushion as highly comfortable with a fabric lining that's gentle on skin and doesn't leave marks. Many called it a "game changer" with excellent seal quality for all-night sleep in various positions. The quiet diffuser was appreciated. However, some noted sizing can be tricky and a few experienced air leaks with the fabric edges rolling, preferring the original design.

Game changer for me.

In the past I could use only one full face mask that was uncomfortable. This new air touch is light and seemingly durable. I am getting 7 hours of sleep with a good seal.

Love this mask

I have tried several full face masks and this is my favorite by far and helps me sleep.

Almost Perfect

Finally Resmed listened to its customers and made the full/hybrid face mask a bit wider. Feels more comfortable and stops my air leaks from the corners of my mouth. Hopefully they’ll do the same for the F40.

Comfortable.sizing can be tricky.

Fabric lining makes for a comfortable feeling on skin. A bit smaller than other cushions. Seems a bit more sensitive than full silicone cushions to correct sizing to get a good seal.

AirTouch much better than AirFit

The AirTouch mask and frame have been a game changer. I was using the AirFit, but the silicone was irritating my skin. I also changed size based on the sizing card which I'm sure also helps. I haven't had to adjust my mask after turning on my machine even once since I made the switch.

Much improved over the Airfit

My first Cpap mask was the Resmed Airfit F30i. I could never get a good seal and moved to a nasal mask. I decided to try the a Airtouch version. I find it more comfortable than the Airfit. So far it seals much better.

Review of both sizes (Medium & Large) of the New Comfort Design Mask.

I’ve both sizes (Medium & Large) of the new comfort design mask. While the soft covering on the mask is nice, it doesn’t provide the adherence to your face while sleeping. The soft fabric causes the mask edges to roll allowing air to escape. I’ve awakened several mornings to an indicator warning on my CPAP that my mask was not secure. So I’ve decided to go back to my old design face mask which provides a much better fit on my face.

Nice improvement

I started CPAP using the Airtouch F30i. The silicon would get slippery from the sweat and oils, and I could never get a good seal. I decided to try the Airtouch version. So far, I have been happy with it. The fabric is comfortable and for the couple of nights that I have worn it there have been minimal leaks. With less hard plastic it conforms to my face better. I will have to see how long the cushion lasts.

ResMed AirTouch F30i Almost perfect!!!!!

I started my CPAP journey about eight months ago.
I started with the generic mask that Lincare provides.
Quickly found out that I was claustrophobic and could not keep my mouth shut & only breathe through my nose. I reached out to the RespShop And started my journey with the most expensive mask that was available. Which was the ResMed AirFit X30i CPAP Full Face. The Pillow Cushion drove me crazy. But the great thing about this mask it had interchangeable cushions So I moved onto the ResMed Cushion AirFit F30 Full Face CPAP Mask. Could not keep this thing on my face to save my life had tons of air leakage. So as they say onto the next one. So next I tried the ResMed AirTouch F30i CPAP mask Cushion. This thing is almost perfect. It contours to my face, and I'm able to easily adjust it at night without incident. I have continued to wear this mass more consistently than any other ones that I've tried. I highly recommend this one, but I know all mask aren't made equal for everybody's face so you might have to do your own research..

I was very disappointed in the AirTouch F 30i mask. It was smaller than my AirFit F30i medium mask causing it to leak air. Only got 6/20 score for the five days of use. I finally gave up and went back to my AirFit F30i mask and scored 20/20. The AirTouch was a little quieter and the nose part was a bit more comfortable. But it allowed too much air to escape. Thumbs down on the new design.

Air touch F30i Medium

This mask has been great, it has allowed me to move away from N30i and mouth taping, the seal and my ahi numbers have been very low.

The updated F30i is a game changer

The updated F30i is a game changer. It fits well, seals great, and most importantly, the new diffuser on the front is super quiet.

Is this air touch comfort mask compatible with the air fit F 30 I system? In other words, can I swap out my existing air fit cushion with this one?

RespShop

Hi! 😊 Yes, the AirTouch F30i cushion is compatible with the AirFit F30i system, so you can swap your existing AirFit F30i silicone cushion for the AirTouch F30i cushion while keeping your current frame and headgear.

The main difference is that the AirTouch version uses ComfiSoft fabric and silicone for a softer feel against the skin. Just make sure you select the correct cushion size for your setup!

Carol

What is the difference between the Airfit n30i and the AirTouch n30i

RespShop

Hi Carol. The difference comes down to the cushion material. The AirFit N30i uses a traditional silicone cushion, while the AirTouch N30i uses an ultra soft memory foam cushion designed to feel gentler on the skin. Both fit the same N30i frame, but the AirTouch version usually offers a softer, more cushioned seal for people who prefer that texture. If you have more questions about fit or compatibility, I’m happy to help. Sleep well 😴
