ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face CPAP Mask
Often times a number of CPAP users and almost all bi-level users suffer from flu-like symptoms, less effective therapy, and poor sleep. This can be the result of a loss of treatment pressure due to mouth breathing or a mouth leak. The ResMed Ultra Mirage full face mask stops this loss so you get more comfortable and effective therapy. Additionally, if you have a stuffy nose or prefer to wear a mask when you have allergies or a cold - the Ultra Mirage full-face mask is an ideal mask that you can wear every night.

FAQ
When and how should I clean my mask?
Wash the Ultra Mirage CPAP Mask system daily with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and allow to air dry.
What is the best way to adjust my mask for a proper fit?
It's always best to fit the Ultra Mirage CPAP Mask while you are in your sleeping position.
If the electricity goes off while I sleep, will I be able to breathe through my full face mask?
Yes. ResMed masks have a special anti-asphyxia valve that opens if your PAP device loses power. In the event of a power failure, this feature allows you to breathe room air.
How about if part of my mask breaks?
There are replacement parts that you can get for this mask, such as cushions, clips, headgear, and much more, you can find this list under the 'parts' tab.
I got a Ultra mirage full face mask, unfortunately it came broken probably because of shipment, I call and a very courteous associate sent a replacement, I tell you this, so far is been the best mask I ever had, silence Smoot, I very pleased for the mask quality, Thanks.
This mask is really sturdy and has held up for me well over the years. It's not too fancy but it doesn't leak and doesn't feel uncomfortable, which is all I need. I hope they'll keep the mask and its parts in production for a long time, even if it's an old design.
The headgear is normal, it holds the head well and adjusts fine. Material is a little bit hot but nothing super bad, I can handle a little bit of heat on my head. I really like that there’s 4 clips, meaning it’s really easy to take the mask off without having to use the Velcro. This helps keep the Velcro alive longer but over some time the strap loses some elasticity anyways. As such I’ve had to buy replacements, but the great thing is the harness only costs 16 dollars. This is very cheap for a strap system and I have no problem replacing it every half year to year.
Cushion is normal. As long as I tighten my mask well, it holds the seal well and I’ve had very few leakages over the past years. There is a nasal bridge thing that holds on to the forehead, and I will admit that it’s very bulky. You’re not going to be reading books or watching TV without trouble. However, the forehead pads are very large and supple, so it feels quite comfortable.
Overall, a very solid mask. Durable and easy/cheap to replace the parts. Leakage issues are negligible and it’s comfortable as well.
This is the second mask that I have gotten over the last month. Both were very loud when using them. I do have a higher pressure set on my CPAP, so that is probably the reason.
They both have been great quality and I have gotten great service from Respshop. Everything I have ever gotten from them has been of great quality. They are a great bunch to work with.
First things first, how well does it work? After a few weeks of usage, I can say that it works well. The nose cushion sat a little weird the first few nights and I had small leakage, but I tried adjusting the straps some more and now it sits perfect. Pretty standard full face cushion but it works. A nice touch is that ResMed masks have a sort of safety valve that lets you breathe ambient air if your PAP machine turns off. Not really something I worry about routinely but it’s certainly nice to have the peace of mind.
In terms of comfort, the mask is solid again. It’s the usual four strap headgear that holds around the back of your head. They all have adjustment points so it wasn’t an issue for me to find that Goldilocks fit after a few nights of trial. The nasal bridge/forehead part is pretty bulky, but I like the forehead pads. They’re big and soft so they help disperse the pressure and I don’t feel any pain on my forehead after a night. Cushion is good too, doesn’t feel too forceful so I have no issues with imprints and red lines.
Another nice aspect, rotating tube connector. It rotates a full circle so you can position the hose perpendicular to your body, keeping it off your chest/arms. I mostly sleep on my back but nothing about the mask makes me think it wouldn’t work the same for side sleepers.
My only complaint is, like another review mentioned, the nasal bridge part is very bulky. You’re definitely going to lose some line of sight, so I don’t read at night anymore.
