Developed in collaboration with actual CPAP users, the SleepStyle incorporates valuable feedback into a range of technologies that facilitate its creation. This user-centric approach resulted in an intuitive menu that new CPAP users can navigate with ease. This machine features large buttons that are clearly visible even in low light conditions, making it easy to adjust settings at night.

ThermoSmart Tubing
The ThermoSmart Tubing is a heated CPAP hose that comes with your SleepStyle Auto CPAP. It prevents rainout using Fisher & Paykel’s AirSpiral technology, which maintains a consistent temperature along the length of the hose. Unlike other traditional heated tubing on the market, the ThermoSmart Tubing is lighter and smaller, yet equally durable.

SensAwake
The SensAwake feature offers users an uninterrupted sleep experience. This notable technology identifies when you are waking up and automatically reduces the pressure to allow for a seamless return to slumber. In other words, SensAwake helps reduce sleep interruptions for more effective CPAP therapy.

Expiratory Relief
If you like comfort features the SleepStyle is the machine for you. With Ramp, the SleepStyle will delay your pressure for a fixed amount of time. This allows you the opportunity to fall asleep before the machine reaches the full extent of its pressure. Then with Expiratory Relief, the machine will automatically lower the pressure when you exhale. This allows you to breathe more naturally and freely.

Easy-Lift Water Chamber
Fisher & Paykel has reinvented the design of the water chamber, which features finger holds in the silicone seal for easy removal from the CPAP machine. The water chamber is also easy to fill and clean, with a silicone seal that can be peeled back and folded in half for refilling.

For even more convenience, the water chamber is top rack dishwasher safe, although Fisher & Paykel recommends not to use the dishwasher for cleaning more than once a week

FAQ

What is Ramp and how does it work?
Ramp starts therapy at a lower pressure to make falling asleep easier. When Ramp is enabled, the machine will gradually increase pressure to the set therapy pressure over a period of 20 minutes. The amount the pressure is lowered by is proportional to the pressure at which your machine is set. For instance, if your pressure setting is 12 cm H₂O or less, the pressure will drop to 4 cm H₂O. If your pressure is higher than 12 cm H₂O, the pressure will be lowered to 1/3 of the set pressure.

Can I use supplemental oxygen with my machine?
Fisher & Paykel does not recommend using supplemental oxygen with the SleepStyle Auto CPAP.

How do I clean and maintain my SleepStyle Auto?
Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth once a week. The tubing and water chamber should be washed weekly and the disposable filter replaced monthly.

1. Disposable filter: Discard and replace each month. This filter captures large airborne particles such as dust and pet dander, protecting the machine motor from dust buildup. The filter is not washable.
2. Tubing: Wash weekly with mild soap and warm water. Soak the tubing in warm soapy water for no more than 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and hang to air dry away from direct sunlight.
3. Water chamber: Wash once a week in warm, soapy water, using a mild detergent. We recommend using a toothbrush to clean every corner. Rinse well and air dry away from direct sunlight.

I was not sure about this machine since I have always used a different brand but after reading it was recommended by the Arthritis foundation I decided to try it.  Glad I did!  Far exceeded my expectations, first, this machine is SO quiet I thought it was not working, LOL.  I like the easy-to-read display and menu and I feel like the water chamber is much better with no chance of knocking it around.  I also think it looks nicer on my nightstand, more like a radio.  I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised!  Highly recommend.
