Key Features

  • Integrated cell modem and Bluetooth
  • Color touchscreen
  • Integrated humidifier
  • Ramp Plus allows you to pick up a starting pressure that is comfortable for falling asleep
  • Three comfort settings are adjustable while therapy is running: Ramp Plus, humidification, and (optional) heated tube.

Smaller and Lighter

29% smaller and 2.5% lighter than the original DreamStation.

Personalized Comfort Settings

The color touchscreen is designed to be simple to navigate. From humidity levels to Ramp Plus Feature settings and sleep therapy date, easy peasy!
Comfort settings include Ramp Plus, humidification and heated tube temperature.

Ramp Plus Feature
The new ramp plus feature allows you to set a comfortable starting pressure while you fall asleep. It is great for those who are uncomfortable falling asleep to higher pressures. Once desired pressure is set, it will be saved and automatically activated for current and future therapy sessions. Pressure will increase automatically if an event is detected during the ramp period that requires higher pressure.

Built-in Humidification and Adjustable Temperature Heated Tubing
Humidification and water chamber often times make the CPAP unit much bulkier and inconvenient to travel with. The DreamStation 2 Auto CPAP features a built-in humidifier component making it 29% smaller and 2.5% lighter than DreamStation.
Simply tap on the water drop button on the device to navigate your most comfortable setting. Tap it until you reach the most comfortable moisture level. "Off" signifies no humidification, while "5" represents the maximum. The setting will be saved for future therapy sessions without needing to tap the symbols again.

Smart auto and advanced algorithms
Proprietary algorithms automatically adjust pressure to provide personalized therapy.

Micro Flexible Heated Tubing (12mm) or and Plastic Tubing (15mm)
The optional ultra light micro flexible heated tubing is only 12mm. Never slimmer before! If you live in warmer areas, choose the plastic tubing (15mm) will be sufficient. This machine is compatible to all other CPAP tubes.

Customers praise this auto-adjusting CPAP as "very reliable" and "quiet," with features like pressure auto-adjustment and app connectivity. Many appreciate its compact size for travel. However, some shoppers find the water chamber design awkward to fill and fragile, noting difficulty for aging customers. Issues reported include overheating, connectivity problems in some regions, and concerns about build quality.

Dreamstation 2 auto-pap very reliable

It's been a very reliable CPAP machine so far. I like the fact that it adjusts the pressure while I sleep. Also the features on it are quite solid.

Very reliable

Very reliable. Water chamber and hose attachment positioned okay. The main unit cannot be used without water chamber attached as was the case with the previous model.

A good CPAP for all your needs

Overall, this is a good machine. The machine is very quiet and easy to set up. There is an app you can use to monitor it and it autosets to deliver the pressures you need. After the recall, they boosted the quality control for these machines and they are very reliable

Very awkward to manage for aging customers/users

Very awkward to manage for aging customers/users. Hoping that all of your staff have been required to use the products you sell for a minimum of 3 nights in a row (including water tank refills, etc.)

PhillipsDream Station 2

I have found this product to be easy to use and maintain. Using it with the nasal mask, tubing and filters made for it has kept me breathing well without sleep apnea. It is very quiet. I quickly got used to the using it nightly, sleeping through the night.

Love my dreamstation 2–quietest machine I’ve ever used.

I received the device from the recall and thru normal usage the screws underneath the machine the holes have cracked and expanded thru the heat coming from the chamber I only have a setting of 2. Because of the heat coming from the machine the hole where the hole where the tube connects to slides out and the inside the machine is all melted. I have tried to call several times but the wait time to get ahold of someone is BAD I have been on hold for hours. don't know what to do at this point machine is worthless.

Received as a recall replacement. It looks nice and isn't as noisy as the Dreamstation 1. It does its job. I do not like the water pod. There is no easy way to put the water in. It is too easy to spill water if you carry it back from the sink. I had to put a towel under it in case of spills. My eyesight is not the best. The water container is tinted dark. It makes it hard to see the max line. It can be a pain to slide it back in place so it properly latches. Also, there is a control panel on top to review things. However, certain info you have to go thru a number of steps to view them. Why, its your machine. Overall its an ok machine, but I will not buy another of these.

After having the dreamstation 1 for 12 years, ( yes it was the white one that was recalled) this black pill looking unit is 10 times better in my book. But to each their own opinions, I personally don't have any issues with it, just with my provider for supplies. They know my insurance company and they raise their prices by 3x the cost. So I find this site far cheaper than my provider and might order supplies when the time comes depending upon more research on this site.

When I first started researching CPAP’s I thought Phillips with the gold standard. But then the recall happened on the dreamstation one and now Phillips is encrypting the data for the dreamstation to meeting you don’t have access to your own information Phillips is an awful company and respshop should stop selling them. Check out the rest med one of the many other options on the side pass on this one.

I received my replacement cpap yesterday. I was excited - sleek, compact, love the black finish! Then I read the instructions to set it up. I was afraid I was going to break it trying to open the reservoir compartment and, as someone else stated, the clips on the lid to the reservoir seem like they will break soon, rendering the machine useless. The adapter plug from my accessory battery for my old Dreamstation doesn’t work with this machine unless I leave one side of the machine hanging over the edge of my nightstand. Additionally, the hose mounts on the opposite end of the machine from the reservoir so that I can’t lift the hose to drain condensation into the reservoir - I have to turn on a light and disconnect the hose to drain in a sink.

And then I turned the machine on. Every time I inhaled I heard a sound like wind whistling through the trees. A fan and an app with cricket sounds didn’t drown it out. I didn’t get much sleep.

Just received the Dream Station 2 as a replacement because of the recall. Initial thoughts - is that it is cheaply made. I expect the Humidifier lid to break in weeks. Plastic Clips (Really) on something you have to keep taking off to fill the Humidifier each night. Just purchased over $300 on routine replacements for the Dream Station 1. Only to find out the filters are not compatible along with Humidifier tank. Phone connectivity to this unit might be nice but I should be able to control the unit without it.
The thing I liked about the Dream Station 1 was the simplicity of filling the humidifier, and quick access to the controls. Probably will be talking with Doctor to see what else is available. Definitely not happy with the newer model.

I had to replace my original Dreamstation and wanted to stick with Philips as I liked the tech and assumed the version 2 would be an improvement. I was right. Setup was smooth, except for paring the Bluetooth which took a few tries but that's normal for all things Bluetooth.

I know I'm going to be happy with this update, it's quieter and the display on the machine is a big improvement over the older model. Changing settings is a breeze and the unit will be a lot easier to clean with the design changes.

The Good - Great updates with sleek design/color, small size, light, and amazingly quiet. Hopefully no harmful foam products that get recalled. The Bad - The humidifier design is clunky, having to remove it from the machine every time to fill it is the one negative. The original DreamStation humidifier design was much better where you could just open the lid. I like the concept of the touch screen on top and it works really well, but I could see where someone might find it too small and hard to read. Overall I am very satisfied with the DreamStation 2 and love how quiet it is and the smaller size. I would recommend this as an upgrade from the original.

I had the Dreamstation 2 for under 2 weeks before it malfunctioned. Overheated, poured water out of the machine (not rain out) and the design is poor. The humidifier is poorly designed, seems easy to break. My DME gave me a Resmed instead of this piece of crap.

The reason for me getting Philips dream station 2 is the technology. A blue tooth cannot be turned on cannot be paired on my phone. Dream mapper is not applicable to be used in my country, it was not explained that it can apply to U.S territory only. Tried to contact your customer care they are not helpful to assist because I'm not an American? Your product is useless for me

My machine does not pair with my phone. Tried several attempts to connect it. Does not work. I’m using it in the Philippines

I received my Dream Station 2 very promptly from Respshop a week after placing the order
The materials included the cpap, mask, auxiliary battery, dc charger and a solar panel charger and all connections in good condition. The set up was made easy with the instruction that came with the machine.
I have used the Dream Station 2 and it’s DreamMapper Bluetooth technology and they are amazing. I get a readout on my iPhone every morning showing the detection of apnea and hypopnea incidents during the night and my oxygen levels. The modem on the machine can be accessed by my sleep doctor to see how I am doing. This is a very useful application.
I am very pleased with the system and I am looking forward to using it on camping trips soon.
I do think the water container capacity for the humidifier is too small. It only holds enough for one or two nights. Also it is somewhat difficult to detach and fill.
Overall I am very pleased with its operation, helpful information and ease of programming for ramping pressure and maximum pressure.
I am glad I purchased the machine from Respshop and they have been helpful in follow up information.

This machine was better than I expected. When I first saw it, I got excited about how nice it looked compared to my previous CPAP machine. I expected it to preform about the same as the previous model. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that it is actually quieter than my other CPAP (which is also very quiet) and quite a bit smaller. The water tank is easy to open which is important to me because I have arthritis in my hands. My only regret is not getting the heated hose. I'll likely end up upgrading that eventually. All in all, a really good CPAP.

I am very happy with the DreamStation 2. It is very easy to set up and use and it is very quiet. I watched a few videos and used the Quick Start Guide as preparation. It was easy to sleep with the DreamStation 2 and DreamWear mask. Lastly, the people at Respshop were very friendly and helpful when we talked. Highly recommended (the device and Respshop)!

I have the original Dreamstation and i think the new dreamstation 2 is definitely worth it. I was able to move my data using an SD card so it was very easy to switch over. The new dreamstation 2 is very compact and I think it'll be much more convenient to use it when I go on my business trips (which are pretty often). Also the touchscreen interface was easier to use compared to the old one.
My main issue with the Dreamstation 2 is it was hard for me to figure out how to set up everything like the water chamber for example . It was not very intuitive, so I spent some time practicing. I think I'll need some time to get used to it since it's very different from the old Dreamstation. Also if you don't normally clean your machine daily, i would definitely make sure to do that for this machine. From my time using the Dreamstation 2, I thought there were a lot of places where bacteria cold stick. In this sense I think the original Dreamstation might've been better. But overall I am very happy with the new Dreamstation and i would recommend it to anyone especially if you're looking for a good travel machine.

The Dreamstation 2 is much smaller than the original. It will be a great travel cpap machine in my opinion. I like the touch screen interface and updated menus on the new model. There is no SD card pre installed on the DS2 but you can easily place any basic SD card in the DS2 SD slot to save your data for external apps If desired. It’s not really needed for the DreamMapper app, you will just need to connect your phone via Bluetooth. As with the previous Dreamstation you may need to tweak some settings in the provider menu, this is of course something you should speak to your doctor about if you choose to do so. I think the water chamber is probably the most controversial part of this machine, it’s easy to remove and clean just know there more areas where bacteria could form compared to the first one. Also water can get caught in the black lid when cleaning where you press down to release the water chamber, just air dry it good. I do like how I can now clean the entire water chamber and lid. I’m not too concerned about the chamber because these are parts you should replace regularly anyway and with this model you can replace the entire chamber and lid. The Dreamstation 2 is backwards compatible with the 15mm Dreamstation heated tube but I’m looking forward to trying the new 12mm heated tube when available for purchase. Note that the model DSX520H11C sold comes with a regular 15mm tube even though the promotional photos show the heated tube. The compactness of the DS2 is a big step up over the first one and that was important along with the updated interface and look. I’m going to give it 4.5 out 5 due to the water chamber design and I would recommend it especially if you want the most updated model that can be used for travel.

I LOVE this machine! I find it is super quiet and I love the way it looks too, NOT LIKE A CPAP at all :) I just plugged it in and it started working just by breathing into the mask which is a very nice feature. I watched the Respshop Video on YOUTUBE and agree the water chamber holds about 2 nights worth of water so I am reminded to clean it out every couple of nights. I also like that is comes with a smaller tube but I can use any standard tube with it if I need to. I like the display is dim but easy to read and change features. The person I talked to was very helpful and new all about the product and sent me the videos to watch. Machine was shipped same day I placed the order and I received it quickly. Cant say enough about Respshop and my new Dreamstation 2!!

My machine keeps say to contact service and will not power on. Then if I try to connect to the app it will come on. It seems that its not connecting to my dreammapper app any longer and not tracking

RespShop

It has been recently noted that the DreamMapper app is not functioning properly, has not been for the last few weeks. I have suggested for customers to call Respironics at 1 800 345 6443 to find out about the app. If you received your replacement machine from Philips and are having issues with it now, contact them at 1 833 262 1871
