Extraordinarily Light APAP Machine
Introducing the Z1 Auto, HDM's latest travel CPAP design. Measuring just 6.5 inches long and weighing less than a pound, it's the least obtrusive and most travel friendly device on the market. Boasting comfort features like Z-Breathe exhalation, automatic altitude adjustment, leak compensation, and an overhauled ramp design, the Z1 offers you effective therapy in an ergonomic package. The Z1 Auto Travel CPAP Machine also comes with an optional integrated battery and a built-in Bluetooth data management system that allows you to monitor your therapy statistics and information on your iPhone or iPad. The Z1 Auto Travel CPAP Machine is one of the few automatic travel devices available to sleep apnea therapy users and is the ideal travel companion for anybody who prefers an automatic CPAP device.
Travel-Friendly Machine
HDM's Z1 Auto is built for the traveler. It weighs just ten ounces, and at 6.48 inches long x 3 inches wide x 2.02 inches high, it's small enough to fit in almost any backpack or suitcase. Comparable in size to an iPod, the Z1 won't take up much room on your nightstand or in a tent.
Z-Breathe Exhalation Relief
The Z1 Auto Travel CPAP Machine comes with the kind of comfort features you'd expect in a top-notch CPAP machine. Most important is the Z-Breathe Exhalation Relief function, which reduces air pressure during exhalation. The lowered pressure makes it easier for you to expel air, and many users find that it prevents them from disrupting their sleep cycle as they adjust to therapy. There are three levels of Z-Breathe pressure reduction, and while none of the three offer a specific amount of pressure relief, you will have the opportunity to select which level of relief works best for you.
CPAP 1 offers mild pressure swing relief
CPAP 2 is the Default Setting and offers moderate pressure swing relief
CPAP 3 is the most aggressive setting for pressure swing relief
Automatic Altitude Adjustment
Ideal for users traveling through the mountains, the Z1 CPAP Machine was built to detect altitude and to adjust therapy pressure accordingly. The machine is capable of operating from sea level all the way up to 8,000 feet above sea level.
Leak Compensation
The Z1 is capable of detecting minor leaks from your CPAP mask. When you experience a mask leak, the device will kick in to ensure that your prescribed pressure needs are met. Should an excessive leak occur, the screen will warn you that your mask is leaking with the word "REMINDER" shown in bold. To remove "REMINDER" from your screen, simply adjust the mask back into proper position.
Nitelog iPhone App and Data Reporting
The Nitelog app comes with a built-in Bluetooth chip that connects wirelessly to a nearby iPhone or iPad. The app itself is free and allows you to store your sleep therapy statistics and information on your phone. You can also adjust your basic machine settings, including your Z-Breathe and ramp, remotely on your phone. Nitelog will compile and store sleep reports for up to thirty days and allows you to email or screenshot your information to your physician from your phone.
Using Bluetooth
To use Nitelog with Bluetooth, you'll need to download the free app from the app store on your iPhone or iPad. To turn Bluetooth on, simply unplug the power adapter from the machine, and then plug it back in while holding the up arrow button on the device. Once Bluetooth has been activated, the display menu will indicate "bt-On". To turn Bluetooth off, you can either put your device in airplane mode or do the opposite of what you did to turn it on in the first place: unplug the power adapter, then plug it back in while holding the down arrow button. If you've done it correctly, the display screen will indicate "bt-Off".
Quiet Machine
At just 26 dBA, the Z1 Auto is one of the quietest travel CPAP machines available. Travel machines are often noisier than traditional devices -- they're smaller and block noise less effectively -- but the Z1 Auto's unique structure helps to block noise. The machine is quieter than a typical ceiling fan and won't be loud enough to disturb you or your bed partner.
Ramp
The Z1 boasts a ramp feature that allows users to delay the onset of CPAP pressure by up to forty-five minutes. Many users find that delaying pressure helps them fall asleep easier, particularly for users adjusting to the therapy or to a new machine. The ramp can be set from 0-45 minutes in five-minute increments; it can also be turned off for users who prefer to start their therapy with full pressure.
Optional Integrated Battery
The Z1 Auto is compatible with a portable battery and protective PowerShell sleeve. The sleeve holds the battery next to the machine, allowing you to pack and display your machine in one compact bundle. The battery itself is capable of powering the Z1 on its own, and it can also act as a backup energy source if Ac power becomes interrupted. The PowerShell also comes with a lanyard, allowing you to hang your machine and PowerShell.

FAQ
Does the Nitelog App work with Androids or other devices besides the iPhone?
Not at this time. HDM expects to release an app compatible with the Android later in 2015, but at this point, it is available only for the iPhone.
Does this machine come with an attachable humidifier?
Designed to be small and travel friendly, the Z1 Auto is incompatible with CPAP humidifiers.
Can I adjust the settings of my machine on the machine itself, or do I have to do it on my iPhone?
Your settings can be adjusted on the machine itself. The Nitelog simply allows you to make the adjustments remotely if you want to do that as well.
IS THERE A HUMIDIFIER AVAILABLE FOR THE Z1?
The Z1™ is designed to be the most portable machine available. Because of that there is no dedicated humidifier option offered for the Z1. As a great alternative to standard humidifiers HDM offers a disposable heat/moisture exchanger (HME) that has been certified for up to 7 days of use before needing replacement. NOTE: The Z1™ has standard hose sizes and will work with any standard platform type heated humidifier such as the Fisher & Paykel HC150.

This is good as a back up machine, or a travel machine. I don't suggest use this as the primary machine.
