DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask by Philips Respironics
A Dreamer's Dream Come True
The DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with headgear is another member of the incredibly lightweight DreamWear mask family brought to you by Philips Respironics. This lineup now consists of nasal, nasal pillow, and full face masks, so you can enjoy greater sleeping freedom no matter what type of CPAP mask you use.
Users of the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Mask will appreciate that all three types (and sizes) of cushions are compatible with frames of any size. The DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Mask also shares the same headgear as the DreamWear Nasal Mask, so you can turn your nasal pillow mask into a nasal mask simply by swapping out the nose piece.
If you’d like to modify your nasal pillow mask to the DreamWear Full Face Mask, you’ll need the DreamWear Full Face Headgear in addition to the DreamWear Full Face Cushion.
The DreamWear family of masks, and the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow mask in particular, are exceptionally comfortable thanks to the many innovations by Philips Respironics which include:
- A hollow frame that won’t impede airflow regardless of sleeping position
- Fully rotating elbow swivel connection that allows you to move freely while you sleep
- Unparalleled sizing versatility.
Frame for Active and Side Sleepers
The frame of the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Mask has a unique design that makes it perfect for side sleepers. Airflow from the CPAP machine travels through the hollow silicone frame to the gel nasal pillows via the elbow connector on the top of the head. The frame is hollow on both sides, so there’s no risk of losing any airflow even while you’re lying on your side.
If you like to be active before bedtime, you will love the DreamWear’s minimalist, open-face design that makes it easy to read in bed or watch TV. Additionally, unlike frames on traditional CPAP masks, the DreamWear frame does not block your field of vision, making the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Mask a great choice for those who wear glasses.
Top Notch Tube Connector
By installing a 360-degree elbow swivel connector at the top of the head, Philips Respironics has eliminated the annoyance of a hanging tube in front of the face and reduced the chance of tangled tubing.
For those who tend to toss and turn in their sleep, the top-of-the-head elbow swivel connector solves another problem. Having the tube connector at the top of the head allows for greater freedom of movement. The 360-degree rotating elbow connector lets you sleep comfortably in any position without worrying about tube drag and mask leaks.
Also, a tubing quick-release at the end of the elbow connector lets you easily disconnect yourself from your CPAP hose without having to take off the mask.
Sizing Versatility and Comfort
Thanks to the available FitPack, finding the perfect nasal pillow size is no longer a concern for CPAP users. The FitPack includes gel nasal pillow cushions in three sizes – Small, Medium, Large – all of which are compatible with DreamWear frames of any size. A Medium frame, which is the standard size, comes with the FitPack and fits most users comfortably.
If your nasal pillows are the right size but they tend to move away from your nose, you may need a smaller frame. Conversely, if they are the right size but push up against your nose, you may need a larger frame. Small and Large DreamWear frames can be purchased separately.
The DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillows are so comfortable and lightweight that you will hardly feel them on your face. The gel material provides extra cushioning at the base of the nose to eliminate irritation and red marks. With the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Mask, you’ll almost feel like you are wearing no mask at all.

Assembling the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask
- Insert the elbow into the mask frame.
- To attach the nasal pillows, align the arrow on the front with the arrow on the frame and push the two parts together. There will be a click when the parts are connected.
- Slide the headgear tabs into the slots on the frame. Fold the tabs over to secure the velcro ends. The Philips Respironics logo should be on the outside of the headgear.
- If using the optional fabric wraps, fold them around the part of the frame that touches the cheeks. Secure the wraps by pressing on the velcro edges.
Disassembling the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask
- Detach the nasal pillow cushion by pulling the frame and nasal pillow cushion away from each other.
- Pull the elbow out of the frame.
- Remove the headgear from the frame by undoing the velcro headgear tabs and sliding the tabs through the frame slots.
- Remove the fabric wraps from the frame by undoing the velcro.
Cleaning the DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask
Recommended cleaning frequency:
Daily: gel nasal pillows, frame, elbow, and tubing quick release.
Weekly: headgear and fabric wraps.
- Wash in warm soapy water, using mild soap.
- Rinse thoroughly in clean (drinkable quality) water.
- All parts should be air-dried out of direct sunlight.
Important: Do not clean your mask with products containing alcohol, fragrances, antibacterial agents, antiseptics, bleach, chlorine, or moisturizers. Do not soak any parts for more than 10 minutes.
For frequent travelers and those short on time, we recommend CPAP wipes which help you keep your mask in tip-top condition with less work. CPAP wipes do not contain any harsh ingredients and are safe to use on silicone.

This looked like an interesting mask, one of the more clever designs, so decided to try it. It is a clever design, and I like the concept of the hose coming away at the top of the head. I also like the airflow coming down both sides--excellent idea. But the mask has a significant downside: it is noisy. The airflow produces a steady background noise, and my breathing modulates that noise. It is a distraction in trying to fall asleep. Most of the noise seems to come from the front vent--noisy air holes. I wish that air could be delivered back to the top near the hose, and a more silent passage created. The other thing I found bothersome is the air directed up my nostrils instead of having a static chamber to draw from. Even with my heated hose, the air was cold. And the high velocity seemed to agitate the hair in my nostrils. Respironics, you are so close on this design, but these peculiarities make the mask unpleasant to use. I will give it high marks for comfort of fit.
Ok so I read a lot of the reviews on here and was a little scared to try out this mask. But it was actually a decent mask Like I actually like this mask a lot. I have long hair so I put my hair into a bun when I sleep and I just put the strap right underneath my bun. (also I sleep on my back so idk how good this mask is for people who sleep on their side BUT for people who sleep on back i can say for sure that this mask is real nice.)
My old mask blew air into my eyes sometimes and I really hated it. But this mask doesn't do that at all. It's super secure even though I've been told I move a LOT when I sleep. This mask somehow stays on sealed nice and tight. And its also very comfortable. I dont have to wake up at night and fix it at all or anything. I've tried a lot of masks in the past but I'd say this mask is definitely at least in the top 5 masks I've tried before. I really like it.
Subject: Good value mask
My favorite part about Dreamwear nasal mask is just how comfortable it is. If you position the pillows under your nostrils right, it should be very comfortable. The velcro used keeps it secured on my head when I use it. Even when I shift positions, this mask has worked well. The hose swivel at the top has been doing its job very well. I have had no troubles with leaks either. It works just as advertised.
I'd say the main problem with this mask is the noise. It's not excessively loud, but it's not very quiet either. Compared to some of my older masks, I would say it definitely is on the louder side. If it was quieter, I would give it a 5 stars because I am very sensitive to sound. I hope Respironics can fix this in the future.
this is my second dreamwear mask... they are the best i think. comfortable and easy to use. I cant stress this enough.
the new gel nose attachment makes this a even better product... they are comfortable and stay in place during the treatment.
the different sizes for the gel attachment are wonderful... as at certain times you may want to interchange the size for comfort. a plus
disassembles so easy to allow for cleaning and drying.... the hose at the top allows for more comfort and less tangle during the night. im a side sleeper and this mask works so well.... your comfort less is amazing ... i have tried other mask... and this is far superior.
Have to say it is poor quality, Just got mine a few months ago and the strap is falling apart because it was not stitched properly. This is also a health hazard as the tube on the head is not insulated enough nor does it have a cloth wrap to protect the head from the cold which can cause fevors and colds.

This mask is the best thing ever for me! I started years ago with a full face mask and then I found this one. The difference was amazing! I don't see myself ever going back to the full face style. I'm sleeping much better and I have freedom to change me sleeping position with no problem. Even sleeping on my stomach is no problem.
This mask is comfortable but my main complaint is that the exhaust valve seems too small and it prevents me from exhaling fully through my nasal passages.

This mask leaks less than the original DreamWear mask that has a slit instead of pillows. It does make a little more sound from the releif port than the original. Other than that they are the same and the nose pieces are interchangeable.
I love this mask. I should have chosen small nasal fittings though. With is air flow connection at the top any air leakage doesn’t bother me. It’s soft and feels good in any direction.
Right out of the box the elbow at the top of the mask leaks, losing air making noise waking me up.
Yes, its secure and snapped in place.
Also have chafing under my nose from the mask.
