DreamWear Full Face Mask - Philips Respironics
The Philips Respironics DreamWear Full Face mask is a lightweight, compact mask perfect for full-face mask users who want a comfortable, unobstructive mask for use with CPAP or BIPAP. The DreamWear Full Face uses an under-the-nose, over-the-mouth cushion with the tubular silicone frame common to all DreamWear masks.
Air from the CPAP circuit flows from a swiveling elbow connection at the crown of the head, through the frame, and into the mouth and the nose. The four-point headgear is attached to the cushion with magnets and steadies the frame on the face.
The DreamWear Full Face cushion rests under the nose while covering the mouth. Front-facing air vents quiet the exhaled air. You can assemble and disassemble the DreamWear Full Face mask easily for cleaning.
Over-the-head circuit connection
With DreamWear’s innovative frame design, airflow filters seamlessly through the frame to the cushion. The hose connection placed at the top of the head swivels to allow the user to turn naturally and sleep in every possible position.
Under-the-nose design
Traditional full-face CPAP masks leave red marks and irritation on the nose bridge. With DreamWear's innovative, under-the-nose, over-the-mouth design, you can receive the benefits of full-face mask CPAP therapy without rigid plastic pressed into the bridge of the nose.
Open field of vision
Since no bulky headgear or plastic touches the forehead or crowds the eyes, you have an open field of vision. This allows you to easily wear your glasses or watch TV in bed.
Magnetic quick-release clips
Magnetic quick-release clips hold the headgear to the cushion. The magnetic clips are a blessing for those who have limited hand movement. There will be no more difficulties in the middle of the night when you need to take off your mask, as it is super easy to take it off and put it back on.
Sizing
The headgear is one size fits all. The DreamWear frame comes in Small, Medium, and Large. The DreamWear full-face cushion comes in Small, Medium, Large, and Medium-Wide.

FAQ
Can I clean my mask in the dishwasher?
Once a week, you can put the frame, cushion, elbow, and quick-release connector in the top rack of the dishwasher. Use a mild detergent and do not use the drying cycle. Allow the parts to air dry away from direct sunlight. Please do not put the fabric headgear in the dishwasher.
Weekly dishwasher cleaning supplements daily mask cleaning. It does not replace it.
The frame, cushion, elbow, and quick-release connector can also be hand-washed once a week. Use mild, unscented soap and rinse all parts thoroughly under running water. Let the parts air dry away from direct sunlight.
Like with all masks, the DreamWear full face cushion should be cleaned daily with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly under running water and let the cushion air dry away from direct sunlight.
Does the DreamWear Full Face mask work with the new DreamWear Headgear with Arms?
No. The DreamWear full-face cushion needs four points of attachment.
Reviewer’s Tip
Careful sizing of both the face cushion and the frame is vital to successful CPAP therapy with the DreamWear Full Face mask. The face cushion should sit entirely under the nose, but none of the nose should sit inside the cushion opening. The optimal frame size depends on the length of your face. The Medium frame is a good starting point for most people. The frame should not touch the ears or eyes.
A Fit Pack option includes all four sizes of cushions and a Medium frame. The DreamWear Full mask is sold in a variety of other packaging options, as well.
Recommended If You Have Facial Hair
We all have unique facial structures, and RespShop stocks a large variety of masks for CPAP so that everyone can find something that works best for them. Facial hair simply adds another wrinkle to the search for the mask that is your ticket to better sleep.
Mouth-breathing beard wearers need not worry. Look for full-face designs that rest low on the chin or that have soft frames that conform to the face. The DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask uses a hybrid cushion that sits under the nose and over the mouth. This hybrid type of mask works very well with facial hair.
When shopping for a CPAP mask to wear with facial hair, don’t fall into the trap of sizing up. Use the sizing guide and select the size that fits your facial structure. Over-sizing results in leaks, frustration, and discomfort.
Note: If you have a metallic medical implant, such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, etc., we recommend choosing a mask that does not use magnetic clips.

I wanted to write this review to say that this is my favorite mask Iโve used, and that the dual channel air tubes are not โdangerousโ๏ฟฝ. Iโll give some thoughts on the mask first and then Iโll try to give a quick explanation why the dual supply isnโt an issue.
Comfort: Big fan of the swivel tube on the top. Something that always irked me with my previous masks was having the hose run over my chest/arms/legs. With a tube on the top though, I can position my machine towards my headboard and have the tube completely free of my body. No quick release on the connector here which is a little sad since I always find that the easiest way to detach during midnight excursions. The dual tube design is also fantastic, because it means you can sleep on either side without worrying about obstructed airflow. I saw some reviews worrying about the safety of โrestricted airflowโ๏ฟฝ but thatโs not an issue.
Fit/finish: The cushion is great, I like that it doesnโt cover the entire nose, since the contact with the nose bridge on other masks has always bothered me. All the usual perks of a full-face mask apply, especially when you have a stuffy nose. Four straps mean sufficient adjustment, but the frame itself is relatively static. Youโll need to pick out the right size on that one, otherwise I could see fit being a problem. This is one of those masks that has air diffusers to help reduce noise, my partner never really had a problem with other masks but still a nice touch.
Goes without saying, I really like the mask for the above reasons. No complaints but I do want to defend the double tube design. When you sleep on your side, one tube gets compressed, so the other tube does the lifting. Some people think this means youโre getting half the air or whatnot, making it dangerous, but thatโs not how the physics works. Turn on your garden hose and fill a gallon bucket timing it. Then empty the bucket and try it again, this time covering half the hose opening with a finger. The water shoots out faster (Pressure = Force/Area) but itโs still going to take the same amount of time to fill the bucket. You havenโt lost out on any water in this analogy, meaning youโre not getting less air when one tube gets compressed.

Love the head gear and full face cushion but NOW Phillips havs recalled the heargea and cushions because of the magnets clips. I can to get replacements . You will not honor the recall and Phillips answers neither calls nor emails. BUMMER and a HUGHE waste of $169.
Hello Duane,
We are sorry you've been affected by both the Philips machine recall and their voluntary safety notification regarding their masks. The Philips masks with magnetic clips only pose a health risk for users/bed partners with metallic implanted devices or metallic objects in the body. We have been sending out free replacement plastic clips for customers who purchased Philips masks with magnetic clips from us. Unfortunately, the magnetic clips on the Dreamwear full face mask cannot be swapped out with plastic clips because the clips are embedded in the cushion.
We've applied a credit to your account equaling the amount you paid for the mask. You can use the credit during checkout by applying your points. We are sorry the Dreamwear mask didn't work out for you! If you'd like to give us a call at 866-936-3754, our medical staff can help you find another mask.
Subject: Noisy noisy noisy!
What a serious flaw. So noisy with the air flow. And the magnetic clasps are for someone who sleeps on their back and never moves at night. Every time I tried to adjust the mask to get rid of the noice, the mask came loose. I spent more time trying to adjust the mask than actually sleeping with it. Gave up after less than an hour. Definitely sending back for a refund! I've been using CPAP machines for 25 years and know what works and what doesn't. This is poor design in my opinion and experience.
Thank you for your feedback! Not all masks work for everyone so luckily we do offer a Mask Assurance program so give us a call so we can help you find a great fit for you!

I don't understand why folks have a hard time grasping dual air supply.
The design is such that either side can supply all the air thats needed, it isn't a hazard as some would suggest but a safety design giving one two air supplies instead of one.
Don't believe me, put the mask on then collapse one side with your finger, you won't notice the difference.
I am very impressed by the design of this mask. It's a hybrid mask and I think its features are very new. I tried out the small tube first but I realized it didn't cover my mouth enough so I tried a medium. But the problem with the medium was that it didn't hold the cushion high enough on my nose. I don't know if my nose just won't fit with this mask and I would have really loved to give this mask a chance but it just doesn't work for me. I also tried the large and the medium wide, but they leaked so they were too big for me.
The medium size worked the best out of all the sizes I've tried. I just wish there were no leaks. I could tell the leaks came from holes only a few millimeters wide so I'm disappointed that this mask didn't work for me.
One other problem I had with this mask is that my eyes were exposed to a lot of air because of the location of the exhaust. This isn't a problem specific to this mask but I'm still searching for a mask that won't do something like this. Especially if your eyes are sensitive like me, I'm not sure if this mask is right for you.
If you're thinking about purchasing this mask I would make sure the size works for you because it sure doesn't work for everyone. Respshop has great customer service so I would still try one but it personally didn't work out for me. The features are very nice and innovative and I really do wish that this mask worked for me because I want to love it so badly. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect mask.
Hi there!
I'm so sorry to hear this mask didn't work out for you. As you may be aware, we do have a mask exchange policy if you don't like the mask. Once per 6 month period, you may exchange 1 mask. So please give us a call at 1-866-936-3754 or shoot us an email and we can help you find a mask that works better for you.
Iโve used this mask for a couple of weeks now and in my limited time with it, Iโve liked the DreamWear a lot. Not normally a full face mask user but I was having trouble with breathing through allergy congestion on my old nasal mask. After consulting with Respshop, they recommended that I try a face full mask so I decided to try this mask.
As I mentioned, I purchased this mask so I could breathe through my mouth more when my nose was congested. Iโve found the cushion to be quite comfortable actually, despite my initial hesitation at switching over. The padding is nice and absorptive and I like that it doesnโt go over my nose but rather under. My nasal masks were all pillow designs rather than cushion, so this felt like a very natural and comfortable transition. Leakage hasnโt been a problem, since the cushion seals against my face quite well.
The dual-tube design works quite well too, I was a little worried about reduced airflow when I slept on my side but I havenโt found that to be an issue. Each tube individually isnโt much thinner than a regular solo air feed, so I havenโt noticed any kind of difficulty breathing. The design has let me comfortably sleep on my side again, which was great since I was never great with sleeping on my back. Air feed goes to top of head which is convenient too, I have my machine on my nightstand and now the hose runs up and away from me. The DreamWear is definitely pricier than most masks, but I think itsโ well wroth it for any one.
I don't know what the other user is talking about. I've used the nasal-only version of this mask for a little over 2 years and just switched to this one. Side-sleeping is not a problem with either. The whole point of using this mask is that it allows you to move and not lose the seal or pressure. Air comes down both sides.
There is no more comfortable mask than the DreamWear. I've used several before finally finding as close to perfection as possible.
Subject: Dream Wear full face mask
I find with both the Dream Wear nasal and full face mask tend to move on your face after they have been on for a few hours. This causes leakage and noise for whoever is sleeping with you. It also means that they don't work as well. I have watched lots of videos on YouTube to learn about adjustments but so far have not been successful. The ResMed masks with the front hose seem to work better but are no near as convenient as the Dream Wear masks. with the top hose attachment.
I'm sorry to hear you aren't having great luck with this mask. Do you know we have a 30 day mask exchange policy? Give us a a call at 1-866-936-3754 and we can exchange this for another one. RedMed also makes a mask with the hose on the top, which might fit your face better. It's worth a try!
Subject: Arrived quickly.
After having several "low" days on my C-pap I reordered the mask I was using. I was with another service who has been unable to fulfill my order for a small mask for several months. I was pleasantly surprised to find my mask on Amazon, order it and have the correct one delivered within a couple of days.
I have been using the Philips DreamWear Full Face Mask for 10 days. I am extremely satisfied as I am consistently getting over 8 hours of sleep. Previously I had been using the Philips DreamWare Under the Nose Nasal Mask for over 2 years and typically was only getting 6 to 7 hours of sleep
or - does it only have a larger hole under the nose than the small cushion?
Small Frame - 19" in length
Medium Frame - 20" in length
Large Frame - 22" in length
Also, for the mask, what is the size options?
