The quick-release Elbow Assembly for the Philips Respironics DreamWear/DreamWisp line-up comes to you as a replacement elbow/swivel component. Ideal for CPAP users who have lost a part, broken something, or simply need a backup part in their arsenal. The base of the elbow is simple to install, simply by inserting it into the circular opening on top of the mask frame. The design over the top greatly reduces tugging that most standard masks endure all the while providing 360-degree movement during therapy.

Try Detachable?

The original elbow is not detachable. You need two hands to remove the tubing from the elbow. You may also try the detachable elbow (comes with the elbow and the new ring), which only need two fingers to press the clip and remove it from the mask ring.

Very important: if you purchase the detachable elbow, you will need to replace the original ring with the new ring comes with the detachacle elbow.

Note: The DreamWear/DreamWisp frame, headgear, and cushion must be purchased separately.

Just what I was looking for the Dreamwear top of head

Just what I was looking for as the Dreamwear top of head does not have a detachable elbow swivel on them. It fit perfectly so I can remove hose at night to use the bathroom without taken the mask off & on in the dark.

Good to have a spare

It does what it should. In that sense, its pretty obvious.

However, I've found that it is good to have as a spare. Also, I now use my older CPAP machine for travel only, but still where the same mask style. Having more than one without necessarily buying a complete mask kit means I don't have to swap them out for travel or have to wait for drying after cleaning if done late in the evening.

Philips Elbow/Swivel Needs a Redesign

While it does swivel ok, my problem is that my pillow is higher than my head, this elbow makes a rubbing noise every time I move. I have thought a hundred times about what if the elbow was more of a "ball like" swivel instead of an elbow. That would allow more movement and better placement of the hose on the pillow for those of us restless sleepers. I do not like the squeak/rubbing sound every time I move. If this can be fixed, I'd be eternally grateful!

Bought an extra for when I travel since I keep a hose and the other frame, headgear, and nasal cushions just for travel. After getting back home, I wash it when I return so ready for next trip.

There are venting slits to relieve the air pressure. But is this part also designed to leak around the seal where it connects to the hose clip?

I have a dreamwear face mask, when using my cpap a bit of air cones out of this part, is this normal? Or should I replace it?

Very normal! That is where the exhalation ports are as well as any excess air is vented out.
