Let's talk about the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto with HumidAir. Many of my clients appreciate the comprehensive obstructive sleep apnea therapy provided by this ResMed auto-adjusting bilevel machine. If you're looking for a feature-rich bilevel device, then the AirCurve 10 may be just what you need!
The ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto adjusts breath-by-breath to deliver pressurized air for inhalation and exhalation. The easy breathe pressure waveform technology ensures smooth transitions between breathing cycles, making therapy more natural and comfortable.
The humidification system has been enhanced with the addition of the HumidAir heated humidifier. This humidifier automatically adjusts the humidity levels based on room temperature, and combining it with the ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing helps prevent rainout in your mask and hose.
A unique feature the AirCurve 10 offers for my clients with COPD or other obstructive lung diseases is TiControl. It monitors their inhalation and exhalation patterns, detecting delayed changes in breathing cycles. The ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto sets minimum and maximum time limits, helping to prevent cycling. If a client's normal breathing slows, the AirCurve 10 adjusts its timing to deliver constant pressure, helping the user stay within the machine's set limits.
Another feature that my clients really love is Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR). EPR lowers your pressure during exhalation, preventing feelings of suffocation that might cause you to stop therapy. It's a great feature that has helped many of my clients continue to use their BiPAP machines comfortably.
Ramp, which was a feature found in ResMed's previous generation of BiPAP machines, is still present in the AirCurve 10. Ramp helps you fall asleep faster by starting therapy at a lower pressure. It then gradually increases pressure over an extended period until it reaches your prescribed treatment pressures. Additionally, Vsync Technology monitors for mask leaks throughout the night to ensure you receive optimal sleep apnea therapy.
Even though the AirCurve 10 is a little more expensive than other auto bilevel machines on the market, it's a solid, reliable machine with a 2-year warranty. Like most things, you get what you pay for, and ultimately, isn't a good night's sleep worth it? I sure think so!

What filters are compatible with the AirCurve 10 VAuto?
The AirCurve 10 VAuto uses Air10 Disposable Filters and Air10 Hypoallergenic Filters. Only one type of filter can be used in the device at a time.
What tubing can I use with the AirCurve 10 VAuto?
The AirCurve 10 VAuto is compatible with the following types of tubing:
Heated tubing: ClimateLineAir 10 Heated Tubing and ClimateLineAir 10 Oxy Heated Tubing
Non heated tubing: any standard or slim tubing
Can I use the AirCurve 10 VAuto without the humidifier?
While the AirCurve 10 VAuto BiPAP features an integrated humidifier that can’t be removed, the humidifier can be disabled by setting the humidity level to “Off”.
You can also replace the water chamber with the Air10 Side Cover, which not only automatically disables the humidifier but also reduces the size of the machine.
Can I use the AirCurve 10 VAuto on a plane?
The AirCurve 10 VAuto is FAA-approved for in-flight use. We recommend packing it as a carry-on and bringing a copy of the FAA compliance letter.
Please note that airline policies regarding in-flight CPAP/BiPAP use can vary. Always familiarize yourself with your airline’s on-board CPAP/BiPAP use policy prior to traveling.
How do I use oxygen with my AirCurve 10 VAuto BiPAP?
You can use up to 15 L/min of supplemental oxygen on BiPAP S and CPAP modes and up to 4 L/min on VAuto mode. Oxygen can be added directly into the tubing with the ClimateLineAir 10 Oxy Heated Tubing.

Do I have to use the ResMed myAir app with the AirCurve 10 VAuto?
The myAir app complements your sleep therapy by providing resources to help you stay on track with treatment. It also allows you to track your progress. However, the AirCurve 10 VAuto is fully functional by itself and the app is not required to use the device.
Does the AirCurve 10 VAuto VPAP send data to my doctor?
The AirCurve 10 VAuto sends data to your doctor using its integrated cellular modem. Your doctor can also make changes to your machine settings remotely. The AirCurve 11 VAuto does not send data via Wi-Fi.
What is the difference between the regular AirCurve 10 VAuto and the non-cellular version?
The only difference lies in the machine’s ability to remotely transmit data.
AirCurve 10 VAuto with cellular modem: This version has a built-in cellular modem, allowing it to automatically send data to your doctor and the ResMed myAir app.
How do I view my sleep data without using the myAir app?
You can see your nightly data on the device's home screen each morning. Selecting the Sleep Report menu on the home screen gives you access to more data.
To access comprehensive therapy data within the Sleep Report menu, ensure that Essentials Plus is selected on the device. Essentials Plus can be enabled within the Clinical Menu by selecting Settings, followed by Essentials, and finally by selecting Plus.

How do I clean and maintain my AirCurve 10 VAuto BiPAP?
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth on an as needed basis. Empty the water chamber at least every 2 days. Once a week, wash the water tub, outlet connector and tubing as follows:
- Wash the components with mild soap and warm water. Do not use water that is hotter than 131°F (55°C).
- Rinse each part thoroughly.
- Air dry away from direct sunlight.

This is my first time using a C-Pap machine. At first it was hard to get adjusted to the machine. But as I continued to use it, the machine became much easier to wear. I would buy another Res med C-Pap machine in the future. It has made a big difference in the quality of my life.

I’ve been using this machine for two years, and aside from the occasional dry‑mouth episode, it has performed exceptionally well. The ability to set my own ramp‑up time is the feature I appreciate most. It also seems to adjust the humidity and deliver a light water mist based on room temperature—I'm not sure if that’s an official feature, but it certainly feels like it.
The automatic air‑volume adjustment has been a major benefit, allowing me to see my pulmonologist only once every couple of years. Overall, it’s a great machine, and now I’m looking to upgrade to the newest model.

I have been using this CPAP machine for over a year now and I remain completely satisfied with it and the associated P10 mask. My sleep has significantly improved - apnea events typically 1-2 per hour - and my snoring has completed stopped. I use the machine for 7-8 hours each night.
I use a P10 mask which I really like. At the one year point, I experienced some nasal discomfort which lasted a few weeks. I reduced time of use for a week or so to allow my nostrils to heal and I’m back to normal use again. Regular weekly cleaning is a must.

The machine detects when you put on your mask so there’s no getting up to turn it off and on. It also has a feature that slowly builds up to full force so it’s not a blast of air at the first breath. The reservoir is also built where it’s practically impossible to spill water into the machine unlike my last cpap machine that got water into it with the slightest tilt. Highly recommend.
