ResMed | Side Cover | ResMed AirSense 10 / AirCurve 10 CPAP

I’ve been having a hard time with my bi pap the past half a year.After trying everything I finally took the step. I’m not using distilled water for my humidifier. I saw an ad on Facebook group about the cover and the price was right and now the numbers are awesome. It’s really been good for me and improved by sleeping somewhat if anything can..

The side cover I purchased was a game changer for me. I love to camp and it was too much to have to carry extra water just for my machine. I never needed the humidifier on when I was camping so the cover was the perfect fit for me. It also made the bipap machine much smaller which was also a plus.

Some nights it worked great some nights I didn’t feel a difference, but that likely was entirely my own unique experience. It definitely did what it was supposed to!

This is great! I’m not a fan of using heat/humidity on my CPAP so the tank isn’t needed. This side cover is exactly what I needed. It is smaller than the tank and seals it up perfectly. I think it looks a lot nicer now too, more sleek.

The Side Cover for the ResMed AirCurve 10 is a relatively inexpensive accessory that allows me to use the AirCurve 10 without its humidifier. (I'm one of those people who find the extra humidity annoying. Strange, I suppose, but it sure makes the AirCurve 10 easier to travel with!)

One funny note . . . I opted for the gray side cover, which was listed as "Gray for Her." I can't remember what the other available color was, but it amused me that ResMed had assigned colors by gender. Regardless, the side cover works great and is easy to install.

I do not use the humidifier and therefore do not like travel with it. With the side cover, that is not an issue.

The end cover has made a definite addition to my CPAP experience. It has reduced the footprint of the device in an already crowded nightstand. The effect is noticeable now that the humidifier is shut off, no weird odors from an empty tank. This is a great addition to the AirSense 10.

I have the ResMed Air 10 Curve, which is a bi-level machine for those of us with central sleep apnea. Unfortunately, no one seems to make a small, travel size machine. BUT! ResMed makes this side cover, which fits into the area where the water reservoir would go. It blocks all the air from coming out, and makes the machine about 50% smaller than when the water reservoir is in. So now, I can add the machine to my carry-on bag for future travel! (Plus I won't need to search out boiled water every evening!)

(Medicare doesn't consider this item "a necessity," so it's an out-of-pocket expense. But it's only about $15, so that isn't bad. Especially when a travel machine runs about $900!)

The side cover for the ResMed AirSense is a nice alternative from the humidifier, during humid weather conditions. I've had several weeks where I used the side cover instead, and found it easy to insert, remove and clean.

This side cover is great for those of us that don't use water in our machine.

Does exactly what it's supposed to, an inexpesive 'placeholder' if the humidifier bin breaks or leaks until you can fix it, or if you want it a little small to carry with you

I think everyone who owns a ResMed Airsense/AirCurve/AirStart 10 absolutely needs this side cover for travel without the water reservoir.

If you don't need or use the humidifier attachment, this side cover is a total must. With the humidifier, the CPAP machine makes a little blowing noise because of the thin plastic hollow design of the water/air chamber. With this new side cover, the old air ports get plugged up by thicker and more solid tubing (the white portion in the picture). My CPAP machine with this new side cover literally no longer makes any noise whatsoever. The white tubing portion acts like a muffler keeping the unit very quiet. I also like how it makes the unit less wide and more convenient for travel.

I bought one for me so that it wouldn't damage the unit whenever I traveled. When I originally brought this up to my local CPAP supplier, they told me that ResMed said it wasn't 'necessary' and therefore wouldn't keep them in stock or even order one for me. Believing that I was correct, I came here to order one and, as usual, I was correct in my assessment.

It's just good stewardship to keep our equipment in good order.

If you travel, it's a good investment.

I do a lot of traveling, and having this side cover is kinda neat. As soon as I attached the side cover to my Airsense 10 CPAP, it automatically turns off the humidifier - same thing would happen if I took out the humidifier, but the side cover makes the machine complete.
