ResMed 10 Auto CPAP Machine

User-friendly and reliable, the ResMed AirSense 10 Auto CPAP Machine delivers comfort and therapy success. Rated at just 26 decibels, this sleek auto CPAP is truly no louder than a whisper.

It comes with a built-in heated humidifier, advanced event detection, on-screen sleep report, tubing (standard SlimLine or heated ClimateLineAir), and various comfort features, such as:

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) - lowers pressure for easier exhalation
AutoRamp - gradually increases pressure to your prescribed setting once you’ve fallen asleep
SmartStart/Stop - automatically starts the machine when you put on your mask and stops therapy when you remove your mask

When used together, the humidifier and heated tube prevent excess condensation in the CPAP hose and mask. In "Climate Control Auto," the machine adjusts the humidifier output to maintain a comfortable 85% relative humidity and keep the tube temperature at 80°F.

As long as you have cellular service, the AirSense 10 will be able to upload your sleep data to the cloud and download any setting changes made by your doctor.

You can also download your sleep data via an SD card (sold separately) using third-party software or the ResMed myAir app (available on iOS and Android).

Heated CPAP tubing serve one primary purpose: preventing moisture buildup in the tube. The heated and humidified air from your CPAP machine cools as it travels from the machine to your face, leading to condensation buildup that, in extreme cases, result in water sloshing around in your hose and mask. If there is a draft nearby (e.g., you sleep with a fan on or near the window), or if you sleep with the AC on, the odds of this happening is even greater.

Condensation in your CPAP tubing is a problem as air flowing past the water droplets can create loud popping sounds that disrupt your sleep. Excess condensation or rainout can result in water splashing onto your face or even into your nose!

Using a heated hose solves these problems because the heated hose helps maintain a constant temperature throughout your CPAP circuit. This temperature control insulates the air inside the tubing from the cooler temperature in its surroundings. As an added bonus, you can even adjust the temperature in the heated hose for your comfort, making this a great upgrade from the standard hose!

Prescription Required

Does the AirSense 10 AutoSet adjust pressure automatically?

Yes, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is an auto CPAP machine, meaning it automatically adjusts pressure within the prescribed pressure range. The AirSense 10 AutoSet also has a standard CPAP mode.

What is the EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) feature?

EPR is a comfort feature that reduces the amount of pressure you need to exhale against when breathing out. It makes CPAP therapy more comfortable and can help first-time CPAP users adjust quicker to sleep apnea therapy.

How can I adjust pressure on the AirSense 10?

Pressure settings can only be adjusted via the Clinical Menu. Always consult your healthcare provider prior to making adjustments as changes to your settings can affect treatment effectiveness.

How do I clean my AirSense 10 AutoSet?

Daily: water tub

Empty the water tub and wipe down the inside with a clean cloth.
Let dry away from direct sunlight.

Weekly: air tubing, water tub

Wash tubing and water tub with warm, soapy water. Use a mild detergent and do not let parts soak for more than 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct sunlight.

How often should I replace my AirSense 10 supplies?

The AirSense 10 tubing (heated and non heated) and Air10 HumidAir water tub should be replaced every 6 months.

The Air10 filter (standard and hypoallergenic) should be replaced every 6 months or earlier if you have pets.

Does the AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir heated tube work with any ResMed machine?

The AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir Heated Tube is only compatible with ResMed AirSense 10/AirCurve 10 models. It is not compatible with ResMed AirSense 11 or S9 models.

Can I use my AirSense 10 AutoSet on a plane?

The AirSense 10 is FAA-approved for in-flight use. We recommend packing it as a carry-on and bringing a copy of the FAA compliance letter.

Please note that airline policies regarding in-flight CPAP use can vary. Always familiarize yourself with your airline’s on-board CPAP use policy prior to traveling.

Can I track my sleep therapy data with the AirSense 10 AutoSet?

Yes, you can track your sleep data via the myAir app, by SD card download or by viewing it directly on the machine.

To view your sleep data on the machine, select the “Sleep Report” menu on the home screen. If you wish to see your AHI within the Sleep Report menu, you will need to enable “Essentials Plus'' on the machine.

Q. I have been told after 6-7 years of use, I need to replace my Resmed 10. I have asked my primary care dr. for an authorization. Once I get that it looks like replacing my machine is less expensive thru you than Apria which runs thru my insurance (but they have other Resmeds, more expensive). Can I order from you and then bill my insurance. I have a 20% copay. Also there really isn't any dr. monitoring my use of this machine, we moved from CA to AZ, so can it be "offline". I use it every day. But no one is looking. Thanks a million, Sissi

Subject: I love this machine
I've only owned and used it three nights and I love this machine. It makes my treatment very tolerable. I love the autoset feature and the ability to adjust my Ramp and Start pressures based on my needs and comfort while also being able to view my current night stats the next morning. This helps me to see if they improved or if they were worse from the previous night settings. I'm trying to find the sweet spot to get my stats as low as possible. The CPAP setting is just too strong for me to start off with based on the high pressure that is recommended for me. The autoset setting helps me tolerate the pressure because it adjust as I fall asleep in comparison to the CPAP setting being full blast as soon as the machine starts.

Soon I will be using the OSCAR app to read my SD card for a closer look at my stats.

The machine is very quiet and has a small footprint. I haven't used the humidifier but I will be giving it a try in the future to see if it helps with the dry mouth issue. I ordered a side cover and therefore it makes the machine smaller.

Overall I would recommend this awesome machine.
