ResMed AirSense 10 C2C Detailed Review
FAQ
What is Card-to-Cloud (C2C)?
C2C machines are modem-free CPAP machines from ResMed that do not support remote data transfer/monitoring. C2C machines are compatible with AirView, ResMed's provider monitoring system, but not the myAir app. Heathcare providers can retrieve patient data from the machine's SD card (included) and manually add the therapy data to AirView.
Do C2C devices come with a SD card?
Yes, C2C devices come with a SD card inserted in the device.
Why is ResMed offering C2C devices?
ResMed is offering C2C devices in response to the global shortage of semiconductor chips. C2C machines do not require these chips and can help reduce the wait times for those who need CPAP therapy.
How can I tell if my AirSense 10 AutoSet is a C2C device?
If your AirSense 10 AutoSet CPAP does not have any cellular bars on the top-right corner of the home screen, it is a Card-to-Cloud device. Additionally, the reference number on the back of a C2C AirSense 10 Auto CPAP is 37382.
Can I use the myAir app with a C2C AirSense 10 AutoSet?
No. The C2C AirSense 10 AutoSet cannot transmit sleep data to the myAir app.
How do I see my sleep therapy data with the AirSense 10 AutoSet C2C?
You can view your sleep data by accessing the “Sleep Report” menu on the home screen. If you want to view your AHI (number of breathing events/hr) within the Sleep Report menu, you will need to enable “Essentials Plus” on the machine. Please see this guide for detailed instructions on viewing your AHI on the AirSense 10.
Which accessories can I use with the AirSense 10 C2C Auto CPAP Machine?
The AirSense 10 C2C Auto CPAP is compatible with all accessories and replacement parts designed for the AirSense 10 series.
Is the AirSense 10 travel-friendly? Can I remove the humidifier?
While not explicitly designed for travel, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is still a very portable machine. The humidifier is built-in but you can remove the water chamber to reduce the size of the machine. Please note that if you remove the water chamber, you will need to insert the ResMed AirSense/AirCurve 10 Side Cover in its place.
Can I bring my AirSense 10 on a plane?
The AirSense 10 is FAA approved and can be brought on the plane. We recommend packing it as a carry-on as medical equipment do not count towards an airline's carry-on limit. To protect your machine from water damage, please make sure that you empty your water chamber before packing it.
Does the AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir heated tube work with any ResMed machine?
The AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir heated tube is only compatible with ResMed AirSense 10/AirCurve 10 models. It is not compatible with ResMed AirSense 11 or S9 models.
Does the AirSense 10 AutoSet adjust air pressure automatically?
Yes, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is an auto CPAP machine, meaning it automatically adjusts pressure within the prescribed pressure range. The AirSense 10 AutoSet also has a standard CPAP mode.
What is the EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) feature?
EPR is a comfort feature that reduces the amount of pressure you need to exhale against when breathing out. It makes CPAP therapy more comfortable and can help first-time CPAP users adjust quicker to sleep apnea therapy.
How can I adjust pressure settings on the AirSense 10?
Pressure settings can only be adjusted via the Clinical Menu. This video shows how you can enter the Clinical Menu to adjust settings. We recommend consulting your healthcare provider prior to making adjustments as changes to your pressure settings may affect the effectiveness of your sleep apnea treatment.

When it comes to CPAP, there are a number of factors to consider, such as size, weight, noise level, and appearance. If you need a sleep apnea machine that meets all of your requirements, the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet with HumidAir is the perfect solution.
This AutoPAP machine is 10.04" in length, 4.57" in width, and 5.91" in height, with a weight of less than 3 pounds when the water chamber is attached. Compared to other AutoPAP machines, it is noticeably quieter at just 26.6 dBA so you can throw away those earplugs. Aside from being whisper quiet, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is stylish and modern and fits right in on the nightstand like a clock radio.
Humidification is an important comfort feature for modern CPAP machines and ResMed has taken the AirSense 10 AutoSet humidification system to the next level with their ClimateLineAir heated tube. The ClimateLineAir heated tube helps maintain a constant temperature throughout the entire CPAP circuit, eliminating excess condensation which can lead to rainout.
The ClimateLineAir tubing also allows you to set the humidification to "Climate Control Auto" mode which is an intelligent humidification system designed to minimize the need for multiple humidification adjustments. In "Climate Control Auto," the machine will adjust the humidifier output to maintain a comfortable 85% relative humidity and keep the tube temperature at 80 degrees F. Combined together, these features should prevent excessive condensation in the CPAP hose and mask.
The ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP has a built-in heated humidifier with a removable water chamber that can be detached to downsize the machine. Removing the water chamber will result in a noticeable gap on the side of the device. Luckily, ResMed has designed a side cover that can be inserted into the machine to conceal this opening.
Other features that help this unit stand out are AutoRamp, SmartStart, and Expiratory Pressure Relief. All three of these features are for comfort and convenience to help you fall asleep with ease.
AutoRamp allows the ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine to gradually increase pressure once it senses you are asleep. The ramp pressure will increase from the starting ramp pressure to your prescribed minimum pressures setting, allowing a smooth transition from wakefulness to sleep.
You can also forgo the AutoRamp feature and set ramp pressure based on time. Ramp time can be set in 5 minute increments from 0 to 45 minutes. There's no need to endure discomfort from high air pressures when you can press a button to set a gradual increase in pressure to your prescribed level.
Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) is a standard feature on all ResMed CPAP machines starting from the S9 line. Many CPAP users find it difficult to breathe out when on CPAP because the machine is pushing air into you. EPR makes it easier to exhale by lowering the delivered air pressure when you breathe out. This reduces the effort it takes to exhale, allowing for a more natural breathing pattern and an easier time falling asleep.
SmartStart is a convenient feature that automatically starts the CPAP machine once you begin breathing with your mask on. If you remove your mask to go to the bathroom, the AirSense 10 will detect this and shut off. SmartStart is not only helpful for quickly getting settled in bed, but it also eliminates the need to constantly reach over to turn your machine on or off.
The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet comes with a travel bag that is large enough to accommodate the machine, hose, power supply, and a CPAP mask or two. The bag also features compartments that allow for convenient organization of your CPAP equipment. While the AirSense 10 is a tad too large to fit in an overnight bag with clothes and personal items, it can still be easily packed and taken with you in its designated travel bag.
In my opinion, the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet boasts exceptional features that can elevate your CPAP therapy to the next level!
Do You Need Heated CPAP Tubing?
Review By Anne G. RPSGT, RST

Heated CPAP tubing serve one primary purpose: preventing moisture buildup in the tube. The heated and humidified air from your CPAP machine cools as it travels from the machine to your face, leading to condensation buildup that, in extreme cases, result in water sloshing around in your hose and mask. If there is a draft nearby (e.g., you sleep with a fan on or near the window), or if you sleep with the AC on, the odds of this happening is even greater.
Condensation in your CPAP tubing is a problem as air flowing past the water droplets can create loud popping sounds that disrupt your sleep. Excess condensation or rainout can result in water splashing onto your face or even into your nose!
Using a heated hose solves these problems because the heated hose helps maintain a constant temperature throughout your CPAP circuit. This temperature control insulates the air inside the tubing from the cooler temperature in its surroundings. As an added bonus, you can even adjust the temperature in the heated hose for your comfort, making this a great upgrade from the standard hose!
How to View Your Sleep Data on the ResMed C2C AirSense/AirCurve 10 Series
CPAP users who want to track their own sleep therapy progress can use free software to download data from their machine’s SD card. This guide explains the software options available and provides an overview of how to access your sleep data.
