AirTouch N20 Nasal Mask by ResMed

Experience CPAP comfort like never before with ResMed’s first-ever nasal mask with a memory foam cushion — the AirTouch N20. As one of the softest nasal masks on the market, the UltraSoft cushion creates a gentle adaptive seal while preventing skin irritation, taking CPAP comfort to a whole new level.

For a better fit, the plush headgear can be adjusted using its top and bottom Velcro straps. Once you get the fit right, there’s no need to readjust your mask every night — all you need to do is slip it on and clasp the magnetic clips* onto the frame.

Need to get up for a midnight bathroom break? Just pinch the tabs on the tubing elbow to quickly detach the mask from your machine.

Best of all, the AirTouch N20 is also available in a “For Her” version, made to meet the needs of female CPAP users. Featuring a smaller headgear and a small cushion, the AirTouch N20 For Her ensures a comfortable fit for smaller faces.

*According to ResMed, CPAP masks with magnets should be kept at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from metallic implants/medical devices. Failure to do so can lead to malfunction of the implant/medical device. Learn more about the ResMed CPAP Masks with Magnets Safety Update.

What is the difference between the AirFit N20 and AirTouch N20 Nasal Masks?

The AirFit N20 and AirTouch N20 are essentially the same mask with one major difference — the cushion. The AirFit N20 features a silicone nasal cushion while the AirTouch N20 features a memory foam cushion. All other mask parts (headgear, frame, short tubing with elbow, magnetic clips) are the same.

How do I clean my AirTouch N20 Nasal Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame

Daily cleaning: short tubing, elbow

As needed: AirTouch N20 cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
  3. Use a soft bristle brush to clean the parts, paying special attention to the vent holes on the elbow.
  4. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water and squeeze excess water out of the headgear.
  5. Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight.

Your AirTouch N20 cushion can be cleaned with CPAP mask wipes or similar alcohol-free wipes on an as needed basis. Submerging the memory foam cushion in water will damage the material and affect cushion performance.

How often should I replace my AirTouch N20 Nasal Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months. However, for best performance, the memory foam cushion should be replaced more frequently, ideally every month.

My AirTouch N20 is leaking? What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your AirTouch N20 according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

I believe I’ve finally found the mask that will work for me. The N20 is my fifth and hopefully final mask. I have the memory foam option and no discomfort or skin irritation.
Thank you Respshop for being so supportive and accommodating when I was trying to get this mask just before you closed on a Friday afternoon. I will use your business down the road for future cpap needs.

Is it just me or does it feel like everything is memory foam these days? Pillows, chair cushions, mattresses. And now CPAP nasal cushions. I digress, but really the main selling point of this N20 is the memory foam cushion. Like many CPAP users, I had troubles with uncomfortable cushions in the past that would leave lines or sit funny on my nose. Memory foam seemed like the perfect solution so that’s why I ended up paying for this mask.

Honestly, it’s really, really good so far. The N20 is by far the favorite one I’ve ever used. The memory foam cushion is every bit as good as it sounds. Perfectly countours to my nose, stops all leaks, and doesn’t leave harsh red lines or imprints. The only thing is I’m not entirely sure how/if you can clean the cushion. On the old silicon ones, I would just wipe it down with a damp towel but I imagine that would mess with the composition of the foam. Also I’m not sure how the foam will hold up over time, it still has its elasticity a few months in but I can’t speak to longer term consistency.

The mask is also just pretty comfortable overall, I like the lack of a nose bridge thing. Those always bothered me and messed with my central vision. Harness is good and light, a nice breathable material. No problems with adjustment and Velcro strap decay isn’t really an issue since there’s the magnetic clips. All in all, I really like this mask. The memory foam absolutely lives up to expectations and otherwise it’s a fundamentally sound mask.

I bought this mask back in March and I have had an overall good experience with it. My sleep reports almost always show that I have no leaks. I sleep on my side and it is extremely comfortable. In fact I think this is one of the best masks if you sleep on your side. I havent found a mask more comfortable than this (but I'm still looking for any masks even more comfortable in the future).
I read somewhere that the N20 doesn't need regular cleaning but I've been wiping it down every morning just to be safe. I think this amount of cleaning is a good balance of sanitary and time saving.
My favorite part about this mask is its magnetic tips/clips. Resmed did a good job with designing this mask so it is easy to use. They make it very easy for me to take off and put on my mask which I appreciate a lot. Even when I use the bathroom at night I can slip my mask off very quickly.
One thing that's bothered me is that this mask leaves marks on my face in the morning. I read in the description that the memory foam leaves minimal marks but it's about the same as other masks I've tried in the past. I hope one day technology will improve enough so there's no more marks left on my face in the morning.

It is comfortable enough. I ordered a large because of other reviews but should have ordered the medium which was what the sizer recommended, but don't squeeze your nose into the sizer just go for a loose fit kind of like loose fit jeans vs skinny jeans. The head gear is sound and stable but if you have a wide face it may be tight for you. All in all it is a decent set up, I keep both the N20 and F20 available depending on my needs at the time. Also, I use a Bipap so the air force is robust and the mask works well with it.

Very excited by this mask and I’m in love! I’ve been waiting for a nasal version of the Airtouch since I love the memory foam on the nose cushion. With the Airtouch, comfort really takes priority (not at the expense of other aspects though).

Right off the bat, the nose cushion is amazing. The actual interface with the face is made of really soft memory foam. I can’t begin to describe how much nicer it feels and it feels like it fits better to the form of my face. Sleep report doesn’t indicate any leaking problems so rest assured there.

The headgear itself is good, I don’t have much to say on it as it just does its job without fuss. Cradles around the back of your head and it has four straps so adjustment should be easy enough. Material feels soft too. I like the magnetic clasps which makes it easy to take off in the mornings. They feel strong so I haven’t really worried about them coming undone if I move while asleep.
Tube elbow has a quick release clasp which makes it easy to disconnect if you need to get up during the night. I’m not really someone who gets up a lot but some times I want to get a drink of water while I’m reading in bed, so just disconnecting the elbow works for me.

In summary, this mask is fantastic. Really comfortable and I don’t think I can go back to regular silicon cushions. If you want to get away from those kind of cushions and try something new, I would highly recommend this mask.
