Comfort Gel Blue Nasal Mask by Philips Respironics

Designed to minimize pressure points and noise, the Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask offers a custom fit and a comfortable sleep therapy experience.

Made with an inner blue gel layer and an outer silicone flap, the nasal cushion provides a stable self-adjusting seal. It features angled exhalation ports, redirecting airflow away from your bed for a quiet sleeping environment.

To help you achieve the perfect fit, the one-size-fits-most headgear can be tightened or loosened in four places. The forehead support, which improves comfort and seal, can be adjusted using the stability arm.

How do I clean the ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask?

Daily cleaning: cushion, frame, elbow

Weekly cleaning: headgear

  1. Disassemble the mask prior to cleaning. Please refer to the user guide for help with disassembly.
  2. Wash the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse all parts thoroughly and air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

How do I attached and remove my ComfortGel Blue cushion and the silicone flap?

Attaching the cushion and flap:

  1. Position the cushion inside the frame, making sure the notch for your nose is at the top.
  2. Then, place the silicone flap (with the size indicator at the bottom) over the cushion.
  3. Press down firmly on all three sides of the integrated ring on the flap. You'll hear a click for each side that snaps into place.
  4. Gently pull on the cushion to confirm all parts are securely attached.

Removing the flap and cushion:

  1. Push upwards underneath the base of each side of the integrated ring. This loosens the flap and cushion from the frame.
  2. Once loosened, lift the flap and then remove the cushion from inside the flap.
My ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
  2. Adjust the forehead support arm.
  3. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  4. Ensure you're wearing your ComfortGel Blue according to the fitting guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  5. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  6. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  7. Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

I love the newly redesigned ComfortGel Blue mask. The most noticeable change is the mask itself is not as bulky or cumbersome. The mask has been slimmed down quite a bit and that makes it easier to sleep at night. I have also noticed that the "ComforGel" part of the mask lasts quite a bit longer than the original ComfortGel.
I use a Bipap machine with high pressure settings and this is one of the few masks that can handle a high setting and not leak.

A great mask.
Pay attention to the size that would otherwise tortured your face to stop air leaks.

The best CPAP mask I have used. Most comfortable by far. The old comfortgel was good but the blue cushion is more comfortable. Basically the same mask design except the new gel cushion seals better so you have no leaks and it doesnt leave any marks on my face.

So far this has been the best mask I have used, the gel cushion gives me good seal and super comfortable. And the silicone forehead padding is also soft and never gives me discomfort, it provides comfort and reduce any pressure points and never leave red marks. The headgear is super soft and mask is easy to put on and easy to care for.So far this has been the best mask I have used, the gel cushion gives me good seal and super comfortable. Seems heavier and very bulky. Not fond of the adjustments. Very difficult to sleep in.
