Replacement cushions
You can save a lot by purchasing after market F20 cushions!
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. AirMini users will need to purchase the AirMini F20 Mask Setup Pack in order to connect their mask to their machine.
Is the AirFit F20 Full Face Mask a good choice if I have facial hair?
The AirFit F20 generally seals well with facial hair, although this depends on the style. To improve the seal between the cushion and skin, we suggest using a CPAP mask liner and/or keeping facial hair trimmed.
If leaks persist, the AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask might be a better option. The AirTouch F20 comes with a memory foam cushion that stays in place more effectively than silicone cushions. Memory foam also offers a softer fit and is more comfortable on sensitive skin.
What is the difference between the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 full face masks?
The AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 share the same frame, headgear and elbow connector. The only difference between the two is the material of the full face cushion. The AirFit F20 features a silicone cushion while the AirTouch F20 features a memory foam cushion.
Can I use a different type of cushion with my AirFit F20 Full Face Mask?
Yes, the AirFit F20 mask is also compatible with the AirTouch F20 memory foam cushion, allowing you to choose the cushion material you find most comfortable.
How do I clean my AirFit F20 Full Face Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear
Daily cleaning: frame, cushion, elbow
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
- Scrub the vent holes on the elbow with a soft bristle brush.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my AirFit F20 Full Face Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My ResMed AirFit F20 mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your AirFit F20 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
