Pico Nasal Mask by Philips Respironics
A mask that feels like a natural extension of your nighttime routine, a mask that feels like it’s barely there — that’s what the Philips Respironics Pico Nasal Mask is all about. While it’s one of the lightest traditional nasal masks out there, every part of this mask is made with a stable fit in mind.Made up of only a few simple parts, the Pico is easy to set up and maintain.
The fabric headgear is designed to make minimal contact with your face and comes with Velcro tabs for effortless adjustments. The lightweight frame and compact nasal cushion offer an open line of sight, perfect for reading or watching TV before bed.
With a dual-layered design, the silicone nasal cushion is sure to stay in place throughout the night.
Choose from three cushion sizes (small/medium, large, and extra large), or for easier fitting, have all sizes in one neat package with the fit pack.
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. AirMini users will need an AirMini Tubing Connector Adapter and a non-heated hose to connect their machine to the mask.
How do I clean my Pico Nasal Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear
Daily cleaning: cushion, elbow, frame
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water and squeeze out excess water from the headgear.
- Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my Pico Nasal Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My Pico Nasal Mask is leaking. What do I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your Pico mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
