Wisp CPAP Mask by Philips Respironics
Love the freedom of nasal pillow masks but find the concentrated air pressure uncomfortable? The Philips Respironics Wisp Nasal Mask is just what you need.
Designed for comfort and performance, the Wisp features a lightweight, open-faced frame that offers support without adding bulk and a silicone nasal cushion that gently seals below the nose bridge.
Enjoy effortless mask fitting with the Wisp’s magnetic headgear clips, which snap on to the frame for a secure fit. No more fiddling with headgear straps each time you put on the mask! Users with metallic medical implants can use the Wisp with non-magnetic clips* (sold separately).
Choose from two frame styles — cool silicone or gentle fabric — for enhanced sleeping comfort. And for your sizing convenience, the Wisp comes in a fit pack complete with 3 cushion sizes (S/M, L, XL) regardless of which frame you choose.
Younger CPAP users can choose the Youth Fit Pack, which includes smaller cushions and a reduced size headgear.
*Magnetic headgear clips are not recommended for users with metallic medical implants.
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. AirMini users will need an AirMini Tubing Connector Adapter and a non-heated hose to connect their machine to the mask.
How do I clean my Wisp Nasal Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame, elbow, short tubing and swivel
Daily cleaning: cushion
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
- Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight. The headgear can be laid flat to dry or hung to line dry.
How often should I replace my Wisp Nasal Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My Wisp Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your Wisp Nasal Mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
