FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask by Fisher & Paykel
One of the most common problems CPAP users face? Finding the right mask size. That’s why Fisher & Paykel created a one-size-fits-all model: the FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask. This convenient design takes the guesswork out of finding your true fit.
With four points of adjustment, the flexible headgear lets you easily get your fit right. The dual-layered FlexiFit cushion conforms around your nasal bridge for a comfortable and stable seal.
For a completely leak-free fit, the Glider Strap slides as you move, maintaining your mask seal throughout a night of tossing and turning. And to help you sleep better, the exhalation vent has been redesigned to direct air away from you and reduce noise.
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. ResMed AirMini users will need an AirMini Tubing Connector Adapter and a non-heated hose to connect the mask to their machine.
How do I clean my FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear
Daily cleaning: foam cushion, silicone seal, frame, elbow, swivel
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all parts except the foam cushion in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than 10 minutes.
- Wipe the foam cushion with a damp cloth.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
- Let the parts air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your FlexiFit 407 according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
