FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask by Fisher & Paykel

One of the most common problems CPAP users face? Finding the right mask size. That’s why Fisher & Paykel created a one-size-fits-all model: the FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask. This convenient design takes the guesswork out of finding your true fit.

With four points of adjustment, the flexible headgear lets you easily get your fit right. The dual-layered FlexiFit cushion conforms around your nasal bridge for a comfortable and stable seal.

For a completely leak-free fit, the Glider Strap slides as you move, maintaining your mask seal throughout a night of tossing and turning. And to help you sleep better, the exhalation vent has been redesigned to direct air away from you and reduce noise.

How do I clean my FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear

Daily cleaning: foam cushion, silicone seal, frame, elbow, swivel

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Hand wash all parts except the foam cushion in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Wipe the foam cushion with a damp cloth.
  4. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
  5. Let the parts air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

My FlexiFit HC407 Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your FlexiFit 407 according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

This is the most comfortable CPAP mask I've ever worn regularly. I have a pretty big head so the stretchable straps were ideal for me. Highly recommended.

Been trying few different mask and I finally decided to get this mask, its very comfortable and affordable. Headgear is very flexible and the cushion is soft . The glider straps connects the headgear to the mask for stability. The straps actually slides across the mask when I turn my head and seal never breaks, even when I toss and turn at night that's a plus for my. Excellent mask

Solid mask, works well, fits well, and feels good. Nothing to really complain about, it’s a quality product that I would recommend especially if you like this style of headgear.
Headgear is light and soft, good width so it distributes the pressure and doesn’t feel pressing against the side and back of my head. The straps are easy to adjust and there’s four of them, so adjustment options are bountiful. They’re also elastic so various head sizes should all be well. Overall, the mask balances well on my head so I don’t have any issues with drag or tilt when I shift around. Forehead panel on the frame did bother me a little the first few nights and left a small imprint, but I played around with the straps and those problems went away after I got a better fit.
Nose cushion is nice and comfortable, I never had any problems with leakage or imprints. I think the dual layer design is quite nice, helped me get a solid seal and my sleep report indicates no problems. The tube elbow doesn’t rotate, which may be my only major complaint. As a result my hose will rest on my body or arm sometimes, but I generally side sleep facing my machine so it’s not hugely problematic.
Good mask, I would highly recommend. It’s at a very competitive price too.

The FlexiFit HC407 is a bit of a Flexi-Hit for me. *Applaud now*

It’s a good mask, it does its functions well. Headgear is nothing special but I mean it fits and adjusts well so no complaints there. There is a forehead brace thing which doesn’t bother me but I’ve spoken with some people who can’t stand them. Cushion is nice and comfortable, it has a dual layer design with foam inside to hep with seal. Leakage has never been an issue for me on past masks, but the FlexiFit continues that trend so no problems with performance. My only complaint is that there’s not really a good way to clean the inner layer with the foam. Soaking it seems like it would degrade the foam’s qualities over time so I’ve been trying to think of other methods.

Overall, this mask does its job without fuss. The dual layer cushion is both a bit of a boon and a bit of an annoyance. But overall, I think the assurance of a good seal is a bigger plus for more people.
