DreamWear Full Face Mask - Philips Respironics
Experience unparalleled comfort and freedom with the Philips DreamWear Full Face CPAP mask. This lightweight mask boasts a soft, all-silicone frame with a tube-up connection that’s designed for comfortable sleep in all positions.
Pairing the compact open-faced frame with a low-profile full face cushion, the DreamWear lets you watch TV, read and wear glasses comfortably. For easy mask fitting, the DreamWear Full Face comes with magnetic headgear clips that let you put on and remove the mask with effortless ease, even in the dark.
Best of all, the DreamWear is designed for truly customizable comfort. The versatile frame is also compatible with the DreamWear nasal cushion and nasal pillow cushion, allowing for conversion between different CPAP mask types.
Plus, with 3 frame sizes and 4 cushion sizes, there are plenty of options to achieve a perfect fit.
*When using the nasal and nasal pillow cushions, you'll also need the DreamWear Headgear With Arms (sold separately).
Daily cleaning: cushion, frame, elbow, swivel
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak all parts in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Air dry all parts away from direct sunlight. Lay the headgear and fabric sleeves flat to dry, or you can hang them to dry.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose and around your mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your DreamWear mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide or refer to the fitting guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion or frame size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
This full face mask has been the best I have every used. With easy adjustment and the hose connection at the top of my head is is very comfortable to sleep wit hit on.
I recently ordered some supplies from RespShop. Supplies arrived sooner than expected and in good condition. I trust and will continue to use RespShop for all of my supplies. Great service and affordable prices.
I am using this full mask for the last 2 years. It is good all along
This is a very comfortable mask. It is easy to remove and adjust in the dark. It seems to hold up well through many washings.
This mask has made me love my CPAP. I forget it’s even on. Some people think they can hear the air, but I sleep with a sound machine on, so maybe I just don’t notice it, but it has been truly life changing for me.
The only thing I wish I had seen was a fit pack when I ordered. Iended up purchasing the next size up after not getting a good seal for a week
After having several "low" days on my C-pap I reordered the mask I was using. I was with another service who has been unable to fulfill my order for a small mask for several months. I was pleasantly surprised to find my mask on Amazon, order it and have the correct one delivered within a couple of days.
Perfect to sleep without bothered by the hose and the little of the mask I can read better now
I always by my sleep products from ResShop and are always satisfied with the quality of the products. 5 star service!!
As I mentioned, I purchased this mask so I could breathe through my mouth more when my nose was congested. I’ve found the cushion to be quite comfortable actually, despite my initial hesitation at switching over. The padding is nice and absorptive and I like that it doesn’t go over my nose but rather under. My nasal masks were all pillow designs rather than cushion, so this felt like a very natural and comfortable transition. Leakage hasn’t been a problem, since the cushion seals against my face quite well.
The dual-tube design works quite well too, I was a little worried about reduced airflow when I slept on my side but I haven’t found that to be an issue. Each tube individually isn’t much thinner than a regular solo air feed, so I haven’t noticed any kind of difficulty breathing. The design has let me comfortably sleep on my side again, which was great since I was never great with sleeping on my back. Air feed goes to top of head which is convenient too, I have my machine on my nightstand and now the hose runs up and away from me. The DreamWear is definitely pricier than most masks, but I think its’ well wroth it for any one.
Comfort: Big fan of the swivel tube on the top. Something that always irked me with my previous masks was having the hose run over my chest/arms/legs. With a tube on the top though, I can position my machine towards my headboard and have the tube completely free of my body. No quick release on the connector here which is a little sad since I always find that the easiest way to detach during midnight excursions. The dual tube design is also fantastic, because it means you can sleep on either side without worrying about obstructed airflow. I saw some reviews worrying about the safety of “restricted airflow” but that’s not an issue.
Fit/finish: The cushion is great, I like that it doesn’t cover the entire nose, since the contact with the nose bridge on other masks has always bothered me. All the usual perks of a full-face mask apply, especially when you have a stuffy nose. Four straps mean sufficient adjustment, but the frame itself is relatively static. You’ll need to pick out the right size on that one, otherwise I could see fit being a problem. This is one of those masks that has air diffusers to help reduce noise, my partner never really had a problem with other masks but still a nice touch.
Goes without saying, I really like the mask for the above reasons. No complaints but I do want to defend the double tube design. When you sleep on your side, one tube gets compressed, so the other tube does the lifting. Some people think this means you’re getting half the air or whatnot, making it dangerous, but that’s not how the physics works. Turn on your garden hose and fill a gallon bucket timing it. Then empty the bucket and try it again, this time covering half the hose opening with a finger. The water shoots out faster (Pressure = Force/Area) but it’s still going to take the same amount of time to fill the bucket. You haven’t lost out on any water in this analogy, meaning you’re not getting less air when one tube gets compressed.
There is no more comfortable mask than the DreamWear. I've used several before finally finding as close to perfection as possible.
Getting used to my Phillips DreamWear full face CPAP mask. Less restricting than earlier type full face masks. Could only get with large cushion instead of medium one. Will have to order medium cushion in the near future. Will come back with report when I can use a medium cushion.
I find with both the Dream Wear nasal and full face mask tend to move on your face after they have been on for a few hours. This causes leakage and noise for whoever is sleeping with you. It also means that they don't work as well. I have watched lots of videos on YouTube to learn about adjustments but so far have not been successful. The ResMed masks with the front hose seem to work better but are no near as convenient as the Dream Wear masks. with the top hose attachment.
I'm sorry to hear you aren't having great luck with this mask. Do you know we have a 30 day mask exchange policy? Give us a a call at 1-866-936-3754 and we can exchange this for another one. RedMed also makes a mask with the hose on the top, which might fit your face better. It's worth a try!
I have used this mask system for over a year now. Literally, I have used it since I first was diagnosed and found that I needed it. I have had very little problems with the system, as I use the Philips Respironics Dreamstation (with humidifier). I am for the most part pleased with the setup. I am very observant of the required cleaning and maintenance, so mask parts tend to last longer. Except for the headstrap. The materials used do not stand up to daily use over extended time. The straps lose their elasticity, and the velcro fasteners just wear out. When you are on Medicare, they say the straps are only covered for replacement every six months, and the straps do not last that long. I have talked to Respironics and they are aware of and are supposedly working on this. Until such time this is resolved I usually have to buy an extra strap here and there. $39+ at Repshop.
The design is such that either side can supply all the air thats needed, it isn't a hazard as some would suggest but a safety design giving one two air supplies instead of one.
Don't believe me, put the mask on then collapse one side with your finger, you won't notice the difference.
I tried this mask because my old one was leaking and it was time for a new one. OI liked the idea of having more of my face free ( could wear glasses then if I liked). I discovered that to get a good fit around my nose, it needed critical adjusting. I ended up discontinuing its use since I noticed my soundness of sleep was not as good with this mask (more apnea events/hr). I'm not sure if this was something that could be fixed with the proper adjustment, but since I had no one to advise me on this, I decided to go back to my old full face mask (I had a newer replacement mask cushion I could switch to). Using this older mask I had started with(an earlier Airfit model) I noticed my sleep quality improved quite a bit.
The size of the actual mask was great but the nose pillow was sized at a medium but slot like a medium large. I have air leaks nightly.
The medium size worked the best out of all the sizes I've tried. I just wish there were no leaks. I could tell the leaks came from holes only a few millimeters wide so I'm disappointed that this mask didn't work for me.
One other problem I had with this mask is that my eyes were exposed to a lot of air because of the location of the exhaust. This isn't a problem specific to this mask but I'm still searching for a mask that won't do something like this. Especially if your eyes are sensitive like me, I'm not sure if this mask is right for you.
If you're thinking about purchasing this mask I would make sure the size works for you because it sure doesn't work for everyone. Respshop has great customer service so I would still try one but it personally didn't work out for me. The features are very nice and innovative and I really do wish that this mask worked for me because I want to love it so badly. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect mask.

I really wanted to like this mask, but it makes a high pitched squeal from one of the attachment points. It drives me bonkers. I’ve tried tightening straps, loosening straps, but it still squeals.
Note to customer service: thank you for the credit and for helping me find a new mask that might work for me better!
Thank you for your review! I am sorry you did not like your mask, luckily we do have a mask assurance policy so please check your email for an update.
The plastic is thinner then previous models under the nose and has already worn out. It will no longer give me a good seal. I bought this on 9/30/23. Totally disappointed and can't afford a new one until the first of the year.

The hose slide's off the head piece. The air flow reservoir from the top of the head to the mask is flimsy.
Looking for something different from nasal pillows. Been getting dry mouth so I thought try a full mask because it was a good deal. Starts off ok, not too uncomfortable. then slips off many times. impossible to seal in mid of night. Tried 3 nights. same results. If you dont move might be ok. Returning it leads to spending alot more $ and trying masks. I guess I will keep it for when I have a cold and cant breath.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your purchase. I see you purchased your mask with the Large frame, you may need a medium frame to help with the slipping of the mask. Feel free to call us at 866-936-3754 to assist you.
I ordered a Large headgear with large mask - too big of headgear. I called customer service and they promptly sent me a medium headgear, way too small. I will return and try something else.
I am so sorry that did not work for you. Please call us so we can help you make another selection.
Love the head gear and full face cushion but NOW Phillips havs recalled the heargea and cushions because of the magnets clips. I can to get replacements . You will not honor the recall and Phillips answers neither calls nor emails. BUMMER and a HUGHE waste of $169.
Hello Duane,
We are sorry you've been affected by both the Philips machine recall and their voluntary safety notification regarding their masks. The Philips masks with magnetic clips only pose a health risk for users/bed partners with metallic implanted devices or metallic objects in the body. We have been sending out free replacement plastic clips for customers who purchased Philips masks with magnetic clips from us. Unfortunately, the magnetic clips on the Dreamwear full face mask cannot be swapped out with plastic clips because the clips are embedded in the cushion.
We've applied a credit to your account equaling the amount you paid for the mask. You can use the credit during checkout by applying your points. We are sorry the Dreamwear mask didn't work out for you! If you'd like to give us a call at 866-936-3754, our medical staff can help you find another mask.
What a serious flaw. So noisy with the air flow. And the magnetic clasps are for someone who sleeps on their back and never moves at night. Every time I tried to adjust the mask to get rid of the noice, the mask came loose. I spent more time trying to adjust the mask than actually sleeping with it. Gave up after less than an hour. Definitely sending back for a refund! I've been using CPAP machines for 25 years and know what works and what doesn't. This is poor design in my opinion and experience.
Thank you for your feedback! Not all masks work for everyone so luckily we do offer a Mask Assurance program so give us a call so we can help you find a great fit for you!

While after initially fitting the mask I was pleased, after actually trying to sleep with it I was terrified. I made sure to read up on sizing information and used the available size guide before ordering 2 fit kits, one for myself and one for my wife. Both my wife and I woke up feeling like we were suffocating, it was a very scary experience. During use the mask leaked for both of us, side sleeping compressed one of the tubes and for sure decreased air pressure, and the pressure placed on the end of our noses caused both of us discomfort and pain. I can't recommend anyone try this mask as I feel there is a genuine safety concern. I want to be fair and attempt it again but it was just too scary and dangerous. Sorry Phillips.
I am so sorry this did not work for you.
Please contact so we can get this fixed as we do have a Mask Assurance Policy.
