Breathe easy, see clearly, and sleep soundly with the ResMed AirFit F30 Full Face CPAP Mask.

Featuring a minimal contact full face cushion and open-faced design, the AirFit F30 frees you from the bulky, restrictive confines of traditional full face masks.

No more red marks, claustrophobia, or sore nose bridges — just comfortable sleep therapy all night long.

But the AirFit F30 goes above and beyond comfort. Magnetic clips and a five-point adjustable headgear ensure a perfect, tailored fit every time.

Plus, QuietAir Vent technology minimizes noise for a peaceful night for you and your bed partner.

What is the difference between the ResMed AirFit F30 and AirFit F20 full face masks?

The differences lie in the headgear and cushion.

AirFit F20: This mask features a traditional full face cushion. Shaped like a triangle, it covers your mouth and nose entirely, including the nose bridge. The headgear comes with four adjustment straps.

AirFit F30: This mask offers a more open design. The minimalist cushion covers your mouth and sits under your nose, leaving the nose bridge free. Air flows through openings at the top of the cushion directly into your nostrils. The AirFit F30 headgear features an additional adjustment strap at the top of the head, with five adjustment straps total.

What is the difference between the ResMed AirFit F40 and AirFit F30 full face masks?

The differences lie in the cushion, mask to hose connection and headgear.

Cushion: The AirFit F40 features a 100% silicone cushion, while the AirFit F30 has a silicone cushion with a plastic backing.

Mask to hose connection: The AirFit F30 mask features an elbow swivel connection while the AirFit F40 comes with a short tubing and swivel.

Headgear: The AirFit F30 has five adjustment straps, including one at the top of the head. The AirFit F40 has four straps and lacks the top crown strap.

How do I clean my AirFit F30 CPAP mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear

Daily cleaning: frame, cushion, elbow

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Scrub the vent holes on the elbow with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
  5. Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my AirFit F30 Full Face Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

My AirFit F30 CPAP mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your mouth and under your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your AirFit F30 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

I switched to this mask from the AirFit F10. I am primarily a side sleeper, and this mask is far superior to the F10 for that sleep position. I experience a lot fewer leakage issues, and it is also more manageable when wearing glasses to read/watch TV before sleeping. I find the headgear doesn't need to be nearly as tight to maintain a decent seal which is not only more comfortable, but minimizes those pesky strap marks in the morning. I also had an ongoing problem with the F10 leakage being primarily from the top of the mask, meaning a choice between being so tight the bridge of my nose was constantly sore, or sore, dry eyes in the morning from having air blown against them all night. The F30 fixes that issue completely.

It took a bit to find the best way to get the mask to 'settle' right for the nasal openings, I find gently spreading the top of it and placing it against my nostrils before releasing works best for me.

The sole thing I don't like is the magnetic catches, the one against the pillow will sometimes detach while I'm sleeping. The mask fits so well that I frequently don't realize that's happened until I wake in the morning and remove it, but does result in my leak rate going over the acceptable margin.

I purchased this mask to use when I need a break from the Comfort Fit Blue Gel. Works well and is comfortable to wear. The only negative would be if you sleep on your side, the mask may move and/or the magnetic catch lets loose. Probably more me than the mask. I am a very restless sleeper.

I do not understand how the template is used to determine the size, it is not clear, where I see a video

Hello Oscar,

Please print out the sizing gauge and follow the instructions below:

How to use the fitting template:
1. Please ensure the template
is printed to scale
2. Cut out along dotted line
3. Refer to diagram on template
to determine appropriate
cushion size
4. Place the template below your nose perpendicular to your face.
Narrow nose: start with the blue/red side of the template
Wide nose: start with the black/purple side of the template
5. If your nose falls inside or outside the margins on the template or
between two sizes, choose the large one.
6. Select appropriate cushion for your starter pack (standard or
small) if your nose size is S (red) or M (blue) and SW (purple). If
your nose is W (black), you'll need to order the cushion separately.
The standard and small starter pack come with three cushion sizes:
S, M, and L. Standard starter pack also comes with standard
frame; small starter pack also comes with small frame.

Hope this helps.

Tried for first time last night. Under-nose pillow took some getting used to; finally did, and fell asleep, but on side, woke up 2 hours later with the plastic digging into my face an hurting. Had to take it off. Am returning and going to try conventional full-face mask (only had nasal mask previously, which I liked but my nasal passages are often not clear due to allergies, so I wake up with a headache because enough air can't get through).
