Wisp CPAP Mask by Philips Respironics

Love the freedom of nasal pillow masks, but find the concentrated air pressure on the nose cone uncomfortable? The Philips Respironics Wisp Mask is just what you need.

Designed for comfort and performance, the Wisp features a lightweight, open-faced mask frame with a silicone nasal cushion that gently seals below the nose bridge. This comfortable mask minimizes facial contact while maintaining an effective seal, and the mask stays securely in place throughout the night.

Enjoy effortless fitting with magnetic headgear clips (quick-release tabs) that snap onto the frame in a few minutes. No more fiddling with straps! Users with metallic medical implants or limited dexterity can use the Wisp with non-magnetic clips* (sold separately).

Choose from two frame styles, cool silicone (clear frame) or gentle fabric (soft fabric frame), for enhanced sleeping comfort. The Wisp comes in a fit pack with 3 cushion sizes (S/M, L, XL), ensuring a perfect fit at a good price.

Younger CPAP users can choose the Youth Fit Pack, which includes smaller cushions (extra small and small) and reduced-size headgear for smaller head sizes. Some users find standard sizes a bit small, making the youth pack a great replacement option.

The Wisp is one of the most comfortable mask options available. Compatible with most CPAP machines and BiPAP machines, it's an essential addition to your CPAP supplies and equipment collection. Orders typically deliver within business days.

The short tube connection and clear line of sight allow you to watch TV or read comfortably before sleep. Many consider choosing the wrong size a big mistake, so use the sizing guide carefully. A large size is available for those needing more coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean my Wisp Nasal Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame, elbow, short tubing and swivel

Daily cleaning: cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
  3. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
  4. Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight. The headgear can be laid flat to dry or hung to line dry.
How often should I replace my Wisp Nasal Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

My Wisp Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Wisp Nasal Mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

Customers praised this lightweight CPAP nasal mask for exceptional comfort and excellent seal quality. "Easiest to seal" and "very comfortable" were common descriptions. The minimal design allows side sleeping without interference. Some concerns included sizing challenges between M/L and L/XL, occasional nose irritation, and durability issues with frame clips breaking after months of use.

It's easy to put on and doesn't feel

It's easy to put on and doesn't feel uncomfortable, so I can sleep comfortably. I can use it on my side without having to wrap the hose around my head.

Wisp is my third mask; i trouble finding what fits best.

I'm on my third mask and having trouble finding what fits right. My nasal pillow feels like I've been punched in the nose, my strappy nasal kept sliding off my head, but the Wisp is the best so far. I'm having issues with the mask size.

The one-size-fits-all Wisp harness is best at not sliding off the top but too small. The hose elastic is useless because the hose-snap fishhooks make a quick disconnect impossible. There is no quick disconnect but to pull the harness off completely. There's no ability to maintain the hose slack with the simple elastic. The magnet connectors are a sad joke and only make it impossible to put the harness on; they seek each other out magnetically and create a tangled cord in your hands. I ditched the magnets and replaced with elastic hair scrunchies to increase and extend harness play; an easy fix.

The remaining issue I have is slowly adusting the M/L mask harness because the mask is slightly too small; the gap to the next size up L/XL is huge and it's too-leaky big. I wish there was a size between because my nose is rubbing the inside with M/L. A sticky pad didn't work, and now I'm ordering a fabric pad to see if it'll push things out and stop the rubbbing.

I'm sleeping okay for now but every morning I have loud face marks, raw on my bridge of my nose, the point, and side of nostrils. L/XL leaks too much and no amount of adjusting the harness helps. If I can't make this work I'll replace my original nasal mask, but expend some effort modifying the harness so it won't slide off my head. The silicone ripped, so that's off the table for now.

best Mask

The Wisp nasal CPAP mask with fabric frame is light, comfortable, and softer on the skin than plastic frames. It seals well and isn’t too noisy. Fabric feels nicer but can stretch over time and needs regular washing. Good option if you want a minimal and comfy mask.

Good seal

I have several masks and have to say that this one is the easiest to seal. Also, I like the minimal light weight design.

This is really a great mask

This is really a great mask. I replaced my nasal mask with this one, and what a difference in sleep. The only drawback is a red mark on the nose after use. This should disappear after further use.

The wisp is very comfortable. I don't feel the confines like I would with a whole face mask. I can lay on my side without the mask getting in the way.

Go with original Phillips parts

Go with original Phillips parts. I have tried all the others and they don’t have the same fit and comfort. The Phillips parts provide the right amount of give and cushion to provide a much better sleep.

The best mask

I'm a new cpap user and tried several types of masks. This is the 4th I've tried and I love it. It's so comfortable. It doesn't feel like your face is being smashed and squeezed. The magnetic snaps are great and there is a slot on the top of the head strap to hold the tube out of the way. The score on my app has gotten better. I'm having considerably less air leakage and barely any events per hour, down from 33/hr.

Best Mask

Been using this mask since i had a cpap and i thinkthis is the bestask since i never had the itch to change it. The Wisp with fabric frame is a lightweight, low-profile nasal CPAP mask built for comfort. The soft fabric sides feel gentler on the face than rigid silicone, and the minimalist design makes it less claustrophobic. Magnetic clips make it easy to put on and remove. Seal performance is solid at low to moderate pressures, but it can leak at higher settings or with restless side-sleeping. The fabric frame is comfortable but not the most durable over time. This mask is great for comfort and minimal bulk. Not ideal if you need maximum seal stability at high pressures.
