SideStream Reusable Nebulizer Cup with 7-Foot Tubing by Philips Respironics

The Philips Respironics SideStream Nebulizer with 7-Foot Tubing provides fast and efficient delivery of the most commonly prescribed medications. The SideStream Nebulizer features a Venturi system which sucks in air to boost airflow speed, thereby increasing the rate of drug delivery and shortening treatment times. This reusable nebulizer can be used for up to 6 months, providing consistent medicine delivery time after time.

In addition to the Venturi design, the Philips Respironics SideStream Reusable Nebulizer also features an innovative Diamond Jet design which produces consistently high-quality aerosols in less time: 2.5 ml of drug output within 7 minutes compared to up to 15 minutes with other conventional nebulizers. This nebulizer produces very tiny particles of up to 5 microns in aerosol size, providing 80% of drug output volume with a low residual volume.

FAQ

How do I clean the SideStream Reusable Nebulizer?
After each use:

  1. Disconnect the nebulizer from the tubing and unscrew the cap from the nebulizer cup.
  2. Rinse the nebulizer cup, fill with water and reassemble the nebulizer. Connect the nebulizer to the tubing and turn on the compressor to flush out any drugs left in the nebulizer jets.
  3. Disconnect the nebulizer from the tubing and separate all parts of the nebulizer, including the medication cup, cap, mouthpiece, and baffle.
  4. Wash parts in warm, soapy water or on the top rack of your dishwasher. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Shake off any excess water from the parts, then place them on a clean towel to air dry.

Once a week sanitization:

  1. Disconnect nebulizer from tubing and disassemble the parts like you would for regular cleaning.
  2. Boil nebulizer parts in a pot of water for 10 minutes with a few drops of dish soap. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
  3. Shake off any excess water from the parts, then place them on a clean towel to air dry.

If you prefer not to boil the nebulizer, you can soak the parts in 70% isopropyl alcohol for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
