Muffled sound no more
HDM's Q-Tube-In-Line muffler was designed to reduce sound that is coming from the tubing. We all want a peaceful night of sleep therapy and as a CPAP user we are sure you're aware of that acoustic sound that is often heard coming from the tube and mask. Being that it is compact and light, it won't hinder your machine's overall weight. Measuring about 8 inches in length with a foam layer, this will be sure to minimize noise often associated with CPAP machines and the overall therapy. Best of all, maintenance is a breeze as the foam portion can be removed and replaced when needed making it easy to maintain during the course of life while using the device.
Afraid you need to own a Z1 CPAP/APAP machine to be able to use this? Luckily this device is compatible across the board with any CPAP machine. The end of the Q-Tube is a universal size! By simply attaching the 8inch short tube to your machine where the standard tube inserts and then attaching it to the standard 6ft tube, you are now able to enjoy the same therapy too. Somnetics, ResMed, DeVilbiss Healthcare, Philips Respironics, Fisher Paykel and any other previous machine are welcome to enjoy this breakthrough item. The possibilities are endless for the Standard tubing user, the Performance tubing users and even the SlimLine tube users.
Saturating the Q-Tube muffler system is a big No-No. You will want to avoid using this with a heated humidifier system. In doing so, the foam material will lose the ability to allow proper pressure flow as the foam muffler will be saturated.
The Q-Tube attaches to the outlet port of your CPAP/APAP/BiPAP machine using the short tube that is included. In conjunction with the short tube which is extremely lightweight and flexible like most performance tubing on the market you will notice no drag of any sort on your Standard CPAP tube or mask. To keep the noise to a minimum it is best recommended to replace the foam piece every 2 weeks for maximum results. If you would like to read about the full usage and care instructions of the Q-Tube you can review the user manual that is packaged with your purchase.
Note: This is not to be connected between the mask and CPAP tube. Also, it is best recommended to not use this in conjunction with a humidifier that uses water as saturation will build up causing the foam piece to compromise overall effectiveness You will be able to use the Z1 Heat Moisture Exchange piece with the Q-tube should you feel the need to receive humidified air.
Warning: The use of the Q-Tube and heated tubing should not be exercised as it can prevent an electrical connection from the hose to the machine.
