Philips Respironics DreamWisp Nasal Mask
Sleep however you want and enjoy more restful nights. Philips Respironics makes it easier to fit CPAP therapy into your lifestyle with its first-ever tube-up, over-the-nose nasal mask: the DreamWisp.
Designed with a top-of-the-head tube connection, the DreamWisp lets you sleep in any position without your CPAP hose blocking your way.
It delivers airflow into the compact nasal cushion through the hollow, open-faced frame. This pliable frame adapts to your facial contours while maintaining a small footprint.
Have an easier time assembling, wearing, and removing your CPAP mask. The four-point headgear fastens onto the frame using magnetic clips*, eliminating the need to readjust the mask each time you start your therapy.
*Magnetic headgear clips are not recommended for users with metallic medical implants.
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. AirMini users will need an AirMini Tubing Connector Adapter and a non-heated hose to connect their machine to the mask.
How do I clean my DreamWisp Nasal Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear, frame sleeves
Daily cleaning: all non-fabric mask parts
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
- Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight. The headgear can be laid flat to dry or hung to line dry.
Once a week, you can clean your DreamWisp in the top rack of the dishwasher.
- Remove all fabric parts and the magnetic clips before disassembling the mask.
- Place the disassembled parts on the top rack of your dishwasher.
- Skip the dishwasher's drying cycle. Once the wash cycle is complete, remove the cleaned mask parts and allow them to air dry completely.
How often should I replace my DreamWisp Nasal Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My DreamWisp Nasal Mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your DreamWisp Nasal Mask according to the fitting instructions. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion/frame size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
Can I replace the magnetic clips with non-magnetic clips?
The DreamWisp Nasal Mask comes with a pair of magnetic headgear clips for easy fitting. However, you can replace them with non-magnetic headgear clips, which are recommended for users with medical implants.
