AirFit N30i Nasal CPAP Mask by ResMed
The ResMed AirFit N30i Nasal Mask is a great choice for active sleepers. Featuring a top-of-the-head tube design and a flexible frame, the AirFit N30i gives you the freedom to sleep in any position.
Flexible SpringFit Frame
The AirFit N30i frame's self-adjusting SpringFit design provides a comfortable and secure fit while minimizing mask displacement during sleep. The frame connects to the N30i's one-size-fits-all headgear via two side tabs with openings for the ends of the headgear. The headgear can be effortlessly adjusted by tightening or loosening the Velcro tabs at the ends.
The N30i frame is compatible with AirFit N30i Nasal Cushions and AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow Cushions of all sizes. You can easily convert your AirFit N30i Nasal Mask into a nasal pillow mask (AirFit P30i), in case you’re having a hard time deciding between the two. It's worth noting, however, that the AirFit F30i Full Face Cushion is not compatible with this frame.
Updated Nasal Cushion Featuring QuietAir Vent Technology

The new and improved N30i Nasal Cushion is made with softer silicone and redesigned to include ResMed's innovative QuietAir vent technology. The original hard plastic backing that made the entire cushion rather rigid has been replaced by soft and pliable silicone that flexes in response to movement. The upgraded cushion is also more adaptable to different sleep positions, further enhancing the user's overall sleeping experience.
The QuietAir Vent technology further enhances the sleeping experience by minimizing noise. ResMed reports the new N30i cushion is 57% quieter than the original, making this a significant improvement over the older design.
Top-of-the-Head Hose Connection
Instead of the traditional hose attachment at the front of the mask, the AirFit N30i has a top-of-the-head hose connection which features a 360-degree rotating swivel elbow. This design allows the user to easily change positions during the night without the mask or hose getting in the way.
The swivel also has an integrated vent that diffuses exhaled air, reducing noise and decreasing the amount of air that blows onto your bed partner. The location of this vent on the top of the head also helps with carbon dioxide removal when sleeping on your stomach as the exhalation vent on the front of the mask is blocked by your pillow.

FAQ
How do I choose my N30i frame size?
Male users should start with the Standard frame size while female users should start with the Small frame size. If the Standard frame sits too close to your ears or falls back over your head, size down to the Small frame. If the Small frame sits too close to your eyes or too forward on your head, size up to the Standard frame.
You can also measure the width of your head and refer to the AirFit N30i Frame Sizing Guide to select the proper frame size.
For a video guide to selecting a frame size, please refer to the video "ResMed AirFit N30i - Selecting a frame size" in the product image carousel at the top of this page.
How do I use the N30i Cushion Sizing Template?
Print the N30i Sizing Template and ensure it is printed to scale before cutting it out. Place the template below your nose perpendicular to your face while looking into a mirror. If you have a narrow nose, start with the blue/red side of the template. If you have a wider nose, start with the black/purple side.
Determine your cushion size based on which color fully encompasses the edges of your nose. If your nose falls inside or outside the margins on the template or sits between two sizes, choose the large one. If your nose size is W, you will need to order the cushion size separately as only S, M and SW cushions come with the starter packs.
How do I clean the AirFit N30i Nasal Mask?
Weekly: headgear, swivel elbow, frame
Daily: nasal cushion

- Soak each part in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
- Scrub the vent holes on the elbow and nasal cushion with a soft bristle brush.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running tap water and squeeze out excess water from the headgear and frame sleeves.

How do I assemble the N30i mask?
- Connect the elbow to the frame by pushing it into the circular opening.
- Thread the left end of the headgear into the left side of the frame and fasten the Velcro tab.
- Thread the right end of the headgear into the right side of the frame and fasten the Velcro tab. The ResMed logo will be visible.

Subject: I love this mask! I get 97-100% fit every night, and forget I'm wearing a mask.
I used a Philips Dreamwear nasal cushion mask for over six years and recently purchased this ResMed mask because it is a similar design to the mask I'd been using.
This mask is so much better in design and it's much more sturdy yet more comfortable than the Philips mask.
The nasal cushion cups your nose and has two holes instead of one slit, so if you have a small nose, the cushion doesn't collapse.
I plan to make this my permanent mask with no regrets.
Subject: Sublime purchase
Iโve heard a lot of people rave about Resmed masks and I really liked the design of the n30i. When I saw it on sale for a low price, I decided to pull the trigger and I can affirm that was a correct decision. It is supremely comfortable and convenient.
Pros-
For starters, it was very easy to get the mask set up and working. The ribbed portion across the top means you can adjust the frame however wide you need. I like this over some other mask designs that require you to measure and pick a frame size. Also the strap on the back is very supple and has a slit which I personally think helps with air flow.
The cushion is well designed. It cradles under the nose and doesnโt shift while also effortlessly delivering air. Iโve been able to sleep well, without disruptive leaks or the cushion moving out of place. Thereโs also a vent design with holes on it, which helps to diffuse the air. I can attest to its efficacy.
There are also some minutiae that make this mask even better. Quick disconnect connector that can swivel sits on the top of the head. This is incredible, as it means you can keep the air feed away from your body, while also giving you a way to easily get up. Iโm also fond of the dual air path design. It means that you can sleep on your side and the unobstructed side will deliver air perfectly fine. There are included cloth sleeves that go over the cheek portions to keep it comfortable- another nice touch.
Cons-
The only real con I have to speak of is that cushion replacements are a little more pricey than other masks Iโve used in the past. However, the cushion feels durable so I may not have to replace it as often.
Subject: First Mask is Great
This is my first mask so I donโt have any comparisons but I havenโt had any problems. Iโve been breathing well thanks to it and I would make sure to recommend this to anyone looking for a new CPAP mask.
Comfortability โ The frame is a wide strap across the back of the head. It spreads out the weight well and thereโs a gap in it that helps with air circulation. My mask hasnโt slipped which I know is a common issue with masks that people have, so I think the N30i is good in that area too. As for the cushion, I decided to give a nasal mask a try since it seemed to be a good middle ground in comfort and seal. I havenโt noticed any irritation and Iโm able to fall asleep as fast as I used to. No red marks and it hasnโt slipped out of place ither.
Performance โ This was my first mask so I wasnโt sure what to expect. My apnea had been really harming my sleep so I was hoping for something that could fully resolve it. Iโve been breathing well every night since I got the mask so I think itโs working excellently. Also, I was worried that the air flow would wake up my wife but she says she hasnโt noticed it. Thatโs also good.
Overall, the N30i was a great first mask for me. It was very cheap but I donโt think thatโs affected the quality at all. Itโs a nice touch too that thereโs two air tubes down each side of the face. And the hose attaches to the top so I donโt have anything draping over my body. I can sleep on my side as normal. This mask will be my go to for the future and I donโt anticipate trying another model.
Subject: N30i
I just love the Resmed N30i mask I was recommended by Respshop! I was at my wits end trying to find the right mask for me. I was struggling and even stopped using therapy. Respshop to the rescue! I called in and explained my troubles and was recommended the N30i nasal mask. No more fighting with that cpap tube in the blankets for me. This mask fits the best out of any mask I have tried. No tube fighting and no mask leaks so I sleep like a baby all night. Respshop explained I can alternate the nasal cushion and the nasal pillow cushion as they both work on the same frame. Two masks in one! The cushion on this mask is super soft and comfy too.
I have always been a light sleeper so the quietness of this mask because of the diffuser is the real reason I love it. Don't be nervous about trying this new mask if you are worried about what size is right for you because it comes in a starter pack with all sized cushions. Easy! Here's a tip - don't forget to take out the diffuser when trying a different size cushion. I highly recommend this mask.
My pulmonologist recommended this mask so I tried it. Now 6 weeks later I can say, that like all masks they have pros and cons. First and probably most important, my wife loves it!! She says it is the quietest mask I have ever used and it doesn't leak as much either as I move around during the night. I found that the head gear stays in place well and agree it doesn't move as much as my Swift LT so it leaks much less. It is also light and very easy to don and doff. It is very comfortable.
What I found to be a problem is while it is quiet for my wife I find it to be like sleeping in a wind tunnel. Very noisy for the wearer especially if you are a side sleeper. At 16 cm of pressure blowing through the mask near my ears is a bit annoying. Secondly, I find it hard to clean the head piece well. All you can do is flush soapy water in and out. I use a vinegar soak then rinse it thoroughly. I feel like a salad if I don't rinse it enough.
Overall I give this system a very good rating and look forward to using it for a while.
Subject: doesn't quite fit right on a big head
I'm big headed, so head gear always fits me a bit strange. In this case, the circumference of the main gear is not adjustable, so it's one-size-fits-most. For big headed guys like me, that apparently means the top portion of the head gear needs to be slid forward a bit in order to not pull too hard on the bottom half, which is what connects with your nose. If I wear the top portion as far back as the fitting instructions and video show, the nasal pillows are pulled up into my nose, which causes quite a bit of nostril pain by morning.
By slouching the top portion forward to relieve the "pulling" against my nostrils, I end up having a less secure fit for the nasal pillows, and hence air leakage problems.
Seems I just need to stick to head gear options where I can adjust in various directions to get a comfortable all-night fit.

Subject: N30i Very Good
I ordered the mask on Saturday and received it on Wednesday. That is quick shipping, even though I used free shipping.
Pro: The N30i is very good, delivering performance that is a cross between a full nasal mask like the N20 and nasal pillows like the P10. I have chronic congestion, and the N30i pushes the air in far better than a regular nasal mask like the N20.
Con: I like to keep my bedroom cool and the N30i tubing allows a great deal of condensation. I'm not sure what it is, tubing near the ear or the air holes in the cushion, but the mask can seem a bit noisy. The air vents in the cushion are at an unfortunate angle, blowing a fairly high velocity air stream down on my hands as I lie in my preferred sleeping position. Annoying.
My first choice is the N20 AirTouch, which gives me the most consistent comfort and fit. However, when I get congested, which happens frequently, I will reach for the N30i from now on. In spite of the annoyances.
I love this new mask. I have struggled with getting used to my CPAP. I have tried numerous mask & was at my wits end. I feel and sleep better when I use my CPAP. This is the first mask I have used consistently. My insurance would not provide nor pay for this mask. The company I am required by my insurance to use is 1 hour from my house and does not have this mask. So, I had to purchase without any benefits from the insurance that I pay for. I am happy I did, it is working out so well. My health is improving daily. I did read other reviews before I was going to spend $$ for this and one comment which is valid sticks in my mind is that you can hear the air going through near your ears. I have Tinnitus so this is like white noise for me thus helps me sleep better. Not related directly to the mask but I am struggling with getting good evaluation from my doctor to review the air pressure and make adjustments.
This is my first mask i loved. I slept the first night all the way through trying it the first time. It's super comfortable. The breathing seems magical as it works phenomenal no forced air up your nose. I slept on my side just great. It's grade A all the way, i had a full face mask and a nasal mask thought i'd try a different approach and take a chance on this one (same manufacturer) of my other masks. I actually look forward to sleep now because of this mask, it's comfort level would have to be near 10. The no hose out the front makes a bigger difference than i thought, the sides are very unrestrictive. I'd highly recommend this mask whatever negatives you seen in youtube's ad's (cause i seen a few) just ignore, i'm quite picky and i knew right away this was the answer i was looking for it's awesome, you'll love it.
I love Airfit N30i mask by Resmed. I have the Dreamwear nasal mask as well, but this mask is made much better. The mask overall is sturdier and the nasal cushion is comfortable and soft. I can clean the cushion without it twisting all over. The headgear can slide on your head like the Dreamwear, but itโs not flimsy and stays on the head. When you receive this mask, the silicone doesnโt have that obnoxious smell that the Respironics silicone does. The elbow can be dtached from the frame for easy cleaning. Resmed seems to do a better job with their masks than other companies. For me this mask makes me more compliant with my therapy.
