ResMed AirFit N30i Nasal CPAP Mask
Moving during your sleep is unavoidable, but it doesn’t have to affect your sleep apnea treatment. ResMed’s very first top-of-head CPAP mask, the AirFit N30i Nasal Mask, allows for the utmost freedom of movement by preventing tube drag and leaks.
Finding the right fit is easy. Each starter pack includes three N30i cushion sizes (small, medium, small-wide) and your choice of a small or medium frame for personalized comfort. Plus, the one-size-fits-all headgear with adjustable Velcro tabs ensures a snug fit throughout the night.
With a self-adjusting, open-faced frame and a quieter and softer under-the-nose cushion, the AirFit N30i is optimized for an enhanced sleeping experience.
Daily cleaning: cushion
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak all parts in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
- Scrub the vent holes on the elbow and nasal cushion with a soft bristle brush.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear and frame sleeves.
- Air-dry all parts away from direct sunlight.
If leaks persist, try switching out the N30i nasal cushion with the P30i nasal pillow cushion which minimizes contact with the upper lip.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your AirFit N30i mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
I am considering purchasing a Resmed travel mini cpap. Is this mask compatible with the mini Cpap? Ellen Yano
It’s my favorite of all of the nasal mask. Like having the connection at top of my head
This is the perfect mask that you can get from ResMed I'm signed up on to receive every couple months I get two sets and I never have to worry about having to reorder and the company promptly always sends me my mask and headset I highly recommend this set it's comfortable and you will sleep very well all night long.
I've been ordering this from ResMed now for over 2 to 3 years is the most comfortable headset that you can get I get it in an orderly manner and I'm set up for automatically every few months to be able to receive it and it comes on time with no problem ever I highly recommend this mask particularly it's very comfortable and you will definitely get a good night's sleep
Very prompt service and had my new mask in a few days from ordering it
I am so thrilled with my new head gear. I had been dealing with an ill fitting head gear and now problem solved.
Great product. Fits well, is small and out of the way, easy to get on and off, although the price is a little high. Not sure why
I just love the Resmed N30i mask I was recommended by Respshop! I was at my wits end trying to find the right mask for me. I was struggling and even stopped using therapy. Respshop to the rescue! I called in and explained my troubles and was recommended the N30i nasal mask. No more fighting with that cpap tube in the blankets for me. This mask fits the best out of any mask I have tried. No tube fighting and no mask leaks so I sleep like a baby all night. Respshop explained I can alternate the nasal cushion and the nasal pillow cushion as they both work on the same frame. Two masks in one! The cushion on this mask is super soft and comfy too.
I have always been a light sleeper so the quietness of this mask because of the diffuser is the real reason I love it. Don't be nervous about trying this new mask if you are worried about what size is right for you because it comes in a starter pack with all sized cushions. Easy! Here's a tip - don't forget to take out the diffuser when trying a different size cushion. I highly recommend this mask.
Good fit, i’m asian and using Small wide with standard frame.
Waiting resmed to selling exchangavle filter since it has black mold in small
Hole under the mask filter.
I have worn dreamwear under the nose mask for years. I really liked it and put up with some of its deficiencies because I enjoyed the feeling of not having a tube hanging off the front of my face. When I saw a special at Respshop on the resmed I figured I’d give it a try. Wow! This mask is awesome. It fits much more comfortably and the accordion tubes keep it perfectly snug without squeezing. The cheek padding doesn’t shift around and bunch up like the dreamwear and it seems quieter as well. It has greatly improved my sleep and I’m very glad I gave it a try
Good I like this product, it helps me to sleep better.
I used a Philips Dreamwear nasal cushion mask for over six years and recently purchased this ResMed mask because it is a similar design to the mask I'd been using.
This mask is so much better in design and it's much more sturdy yet more comfortable than the Philips mask.
The nasal cushion cups your nose and has two holes instead of one slit, so if you have a small nose, the cushion doesn't collapse.
I plan to make this my permanent mask with no regrets.
I bought my first CPAP unit about 2 weeks ago and decided to get the n30i and corresponding headgear For me, it works very well. I like the way the hose connects at the head which allows me to turn over at night and not even notice the hose. I am using the small nasal cushion and find it very comfortable. Since this head gear supports the nasal pillow also (p30i), I bought one of those, too, but have not yet tried it out to see which I like the best.
The fit is comfortable. Tube connection is easy to attach / detach.
I am sleeping through the night now. This nasal mask is so light it’s like you’re not wearing a mask. Very pleased with it.
This mask is so comfortable and does not bother me at all. I have no problems turning from side to side while sleeping.
The original design was great but I did blow air onto my wife with the new design that issue is no more it’s also quieter
This is the first time I have used a nasal mask. I have always used a mask that covered my entire nose. It does make my nose a little sore the next morning. But other than that, I really like it better.
I wasn't too sure about getting a mask with the dual tube design from some reviews, but I decided to give it a shot. Now I'm very happy with it. I can sleep on my side without any issue and the air flow feels very natural and comfortable. Also the connection point at the top of the head is great, I didn't know I needed it before. The comfort level on this mask is a cut above anything else I've used. Highly recommended to sleepers of any kind.
I’ve heard a lot of people rave about Resmed masks and I really liked the design of the n30i. When I saw it on sale for a low price, I decided to pull the trigger and I can affirm that was a correct decision. It is supremely comfortable and convenient.
Pros-
For starters, it was very easy to get the mask set up and working. The ribbed portion across the top means you can adjust the frame however wide you need. I like this over some other mask designs that require you to measure and pick a frame size. Also the strap on the back is very supple and has a slit which I personally think helps with air flow.
The cushion is well designed. It cradles under the nose and doesn’t shift while also effortlessly delivering air. I’ve been able to sleep well, without disruptive leaks or the cushion moving out of place. There’s also a vent design with holes on it, which helps to diffuse the air. I can attest to its efficacy.
There are also some minutiae that make this mask even better. Quick disconnect connector that can swivel sits on the top of the head. This is incredible, as it means you can keep the air feed away from your body, while also giving you a way to easily get up. I’m also fond of the dual air path design. It means that you can sleep on your side and the unobstructed side will deliver air perfectly fine. There are included cloth sleeves that go over the cheek portions to keep it comfortable- another nice touch.
Cons-
The only real con I have to speak of is that cushion replacements are a little more pricey than other masks I’ve used in the past. However, the cushion feels durable so I may not have to replace it as often.
This is my first mask so I don’t have any comparisons but I haven’t had any problems. I’ve been breathing well thanks to it and I would make sure to recommend this to anyone looking for a new CPAP mask.
Comfortability – The frame is a wide strap across the back of the head. It spreads out the weight well and there’s a gap in it that helps with air circulation. My mask hasn’t slipped which I know is a common issue with masks that people have, so I think the N30i is good in that area too. As for the cushion, I decided to give a nasal mask a try since it seemed to be a good middle ground in comfort and seal. I haven’t noticed any irritation and I’m able to fall asleep as fast as I used to. No red marks and it hasn’t slipped out of place ither.
Performance – This was my first mask so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My apnea had been really harming my sleep so I was hoping for something that could fully resolve it. I’ve been breathing well every night since I got the mask so I think it’s working excellently. Also, I was worried that the air flow would wake up my wife but she says she hasn’t noticed it. That’s also good.
Overall, the N30i was a great first mask for me. It was very cheap but I don’t think that’s affected the quality at all. It’s a nice touch too that there’s two air tubes down each side of the face. And the hose attaches to the top so I don’t have anything draping over my body. I can sleep on my side as normal. This mask will be my go to for the future and I don’t anticipate trying another model.
I have been thinking of trying a nasal mask for sometime after using a face mask for over 10 years. When the Airfit N30i - ResMed Nasal Mask Starter Pack went on sale I decided to take the gamble and try it. I was not disappointed and probably will also be reordering a nasal mask from now on.
What I found to be a problem is while it is quiet for my wife I find it to be like sleeping in a wind tunnel. Very noisy for the wearer especially if you are a side sleeper. At 16 cm of pressure blowing through the mask near my ears is a bit annoying. Secondly, I find it hard to clean the head piece well. All you can do is flush soapy water in and out. I use a vinegar soak then rinse it thoroughly. I feel like a salad if I don't rinse it enough.
Overall I give this system a very good rating and look forward to using it for a while.
Airfit n 30i best one ever . Finally able to get a nights sleep.
I ordered the mask on Saturday and received it on Wednesday. That is quick shipping, even though I used free shipping.
Pro: The N30i is very good, delivering performance that is a cross between a full nasal mask like the N20 and nasal pillows like the P10. I have chronic congestion, and the N30i pushes the air in far better than a regular nasal mask like the N20.
Con: I like to keep my bedroom cool and the N30i tubing allows a great deal of condensation. I'm not sure what it is, tubing near the ear or the air holes in the cushion, but the mask can seem a bit noisy. The air vents in the cushion are at an unfortunate angle, blowing a fairly high velocity air stream down on my hands as I lie in my preferred sleeping position. Annoying.
My first choice is the N20 AirTouch, which gives me the most consistent comfort and fit. However, when I get congested, which happens frequently, I will reach for the N30i from now on. In spite of the annoyances.
The ResMed Airfit N30i initially seemed like the perfect mask for me with its comfortable nose piece and top-of-head hose connection. However, after using it for a while, I found that the new design of the nasal piece caused some issues with my thin nose and nostrils. Although I tried adjusting the straps and even experimented with nasal pillows, I'm still searching for the ideal mask that provides comfort and unrestricted airflow throughout the night.
Bought a new Airsense 11 and tried the N30i nasal mask. For me, it was not a good fit; the size of the mask did not seem to fit my head and stay situated properly, and I found the area about the nose would leak too much. It might fit better for others, but I came from using a Philips machine and a mask with nasal pillows, and am exchanging for the P30i mask which should be more like my old Philips mask.

Am still waiting to receive my order
. Where is it now??
I have been using the CPAP with nasal prongs. Over time I found it irritating my nostrils and really not that good for side sleeping so I purchased the N30i with a kind of a nasal cushion and a top of the head hose entry that looked better for side sleeping. The verdict is mixed. For supine back sleeping this is very good and doesn't irritate my nose at all. But when side sleeping the nasal cushion moves just slightly with my face on my pillow which allows air to leak and a lot of air noise. So its no better or worse than my original nasal prong unit.So far no perfect cpap
Pros. Top hose connection is really nice. A little more comfortable than the other nose pillow version i tried.
Soft sides.
Cons. Felt like not enough air was going into me. My nose was sore. Mustache hairs pulled on. Lately I've been ripping it off in my sleep due to discomfort.
The N30i is an unfortunately poor product that I had high hopes for before using. I have used the P30i which works excellently but wanted to try using the N30i for a potentially more comfortable fit. While the n30i is comfortable and slightly quieter to my ear than the p30i, if you move at all in your sleep it leaks a great deal. I went from 1-2L leakage on the p30i to an average of over 20L leaking on the n30i after falling asleep with a perfect fit! If you toss and turn in your sleep, this mask is not for you.

SEEMS I GET BETTER AIR FLOW THRU OUT THE NIGHT WITH MY OLD PILLOW TYPE OVER THE AIR LIFT SYSTEM. HOW CAN I RETURN THE EXTRA KIT?
Please call our office and we will be happy to help.
I'm big headed, so head gear always fits me a bit strange. In this case, the circumference of the main gear is not adjustable, so it's one-size-fits-most. For big headed guys like me, that apparently means the top portion of the head gear needs to be slid forward a bit in order to not pull too hard on the bottom half, which is what connects with your nose. If I wear the top portion as far back as the fitting instructions and video show, the nasal pillows are pulled up into my nose, which causes quite a bit of nostril pain by morning.
By slouching the top portion forward to relieve the "pulling" against my nostrils, I end up having a less secure fit for the nasal pillows, and hence air leakage problems.
Seems I just need to stick to head gear options where I can adjust in various directions to get a comfortable all-night fit.
Luckily, we have the Mask Assurance Program. Please give us a call, 866-936-3754, so we can help you find the best mask for you.
the "seal" doesn't work as well and mouth breathing was a real issue (dry mouth)
and I just didn't sleep very well and was very disappointed as I loved the idea of the mask.
Again, uncomfortable and leaking air during the night .Awakens my wife and me.
We are very sorry you are unhappy with this mask. It is true that not every mask will work for everyone, and sometimes it does take trying multiple to find the correct mask. Our mask assurance is applicable once every 6 months. I would suggest if you've used your mask assurance already to give us a call to discuss what hasn't worked for you mask wise and we can try to help you decide on a different mask to try. You may also want to consider seeing if a local company would be able to help you with a mask fitting. Thank you.
I was hopeful but this connector is not compatible with the hose to my Resmed machine. The 2nd problem is that the covers that protect the face will not go back on once removed. Not a good design.
Hi Evelyn,
masks are universal with any hose. Chances are you might have the adapter from your previous mask stuck in your hose. I am not sure what you mean by covers, but please feel free to call us at 866 936 3754 and one of our staff will be able to help you set up your mask so you can use it.
