How do I clean my Swift FX Nasal Pillow Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear, short tubing with swivel

Daily cleaning: cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak all parts in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
  3. Gently scrub the vent with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
  5. Air dry all parts away from direct sunlight. Lay the headgear flat to dry.
How often should I replace my Swift FX Nasal Pillow Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.

What is the difference between the ResMed Swift FX and Swift FX For Her nasal pillow masks?

The Swift FX comes with larger nasal pillow sizes (small, medium, large) compared to the Swift FX For Her, which comes with extra small, small, and medium nasal pillow cushions.

The headgear back strap on the Swift FX For Her is also shorter than the Swift FX headgear back strap.

What is the difference between the Swift FX and Swift FX Bella Gray nasal pillow masks?

The Swift FX Bella Gray offers two headgear options: the standard Swift FX headgear and the Bella Gray loops. The standard Swift FX mask only comes with the traditional headgear.

The Bella Gray loops are unique in that they hook around the ears, unlike the standard headgear which wraps around the top and back of the head.

My Swift FX Nasal Pillow Mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the tips of the nasal pillows to inflate and settle comfortably inside your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Swift FX according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

Wow. Best choice I made. Most comfortable, most quiet. Beats the nasal masks hands down. Used it for the first time last night. Never felt better.

At first it seemed to work well, but after just a couple of nights I started having problems with it sealing on my right nostril, it kept leaking. I tried several adjustments, until it was just to tight and you wake up with marks on your cheeks. To bad as I really liked the design. So I am doing back to the Resmed Mirage Swift II. The real problem in all this is that you cannot return if you remove the unit from the plastic. And you can't try it without actually using it.

The ResMed Swift FX Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgear is the best I've ever used. The nasal pillows come in small, medium, and large, so you're bound to find the perfect fit. I can lye in bed and watch TV with my eye glasses on, read, turn over and sleep on my side, and still, absolutely no leaks. Outstanding invention.

I feel very comfortable using the ResMed Swift TM FX Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask , no psychological pressure of the face, can also wear glasses for reading, even if sleep on my side and movement, it also does not leak, but when the pressure exceeds 10, there will be air leaks .

I started using this mask, but somehow the nose gets sore in the morning, don't know what to do. I asked your customer service and they ran down the list for me to check:

Correct pillow size?
The cone tip is the only part that is inside your nose, and the rest stays outside.
Headgear too tight?
No humidification?
And they suggested I could use Ayr Saline Nasal Gel (can get it from Walgreens or any drugstores that has it) or lanolin cream - Lanisoh, Blistex Lip or Carmex Lip ointment to help reduce the soreness.

If all of the above failed, they suggested to consult your doctor or try a different mask, like a nasal or full face mask.
So I tried a different pillow size, and it works for me. Thanks guys. I gave 5 stars because your customer service rocks!
