The AirSense 11's touchscreen controls have replaced the AirSense 10's click-and-turn action, allowing for easy adjustment of humidity, tube temperature and climate control with a simple tap of a finger. Despite the stylish new look, the AirSense 11 AutoSet retains the same beloved comfort features associated with ResMed CPAP machines. FAQ

Can the AirSense 11 be used on the plane?
The AirSense 11 is FAA approved for in-flight use. CPAP machines are medical equipment and do not count against an airline’s carry-on limit. Airlines have different regulations regarding in-flight CPAP use. Please make sure you are familiar with your airline’s on-board CPAP use policy.

Does the AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir heated tubing work with any ResMed machine?
The AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir heated tubing is only compatible with the ResMed AirSense 11. It is not compatible with ResMed AirSense 10 or S9 models.

How do I adjust pressure on the AirSense 11?
Pressure settings can only be adjusted on the AirSense 11 through the AirSense 11 clinical menu. Please consult your sleep medicine provider before making changes to your therapy pressure as adjustments may affect the effectiveness of your treatment.

How do I clean the AirSense 11?
Cleaning the AirSense 11 involves changing the filter and washing the water chamber and tubing.

  1. Disposable filter - found on the back of the machine behind the filter cover. Discard and replace once a month or more frequently if needed. The filter keeps the air you breathe clean and protects the motor from dust buildup.
  2. Tubing (heated and nonheated) - wash once a week by soaking in warm, soapy water (use a mild detergent). Scrub the inside of the hose with a hose brush and rinse well under running water. Hang the tubing over a shower curtain rod to air dry.
  3. Water chamber (standard) - wash once a week with warm water and mild soap. Use a soft bristle brush to clean the inside of the chamber and air dry away from direct sunlight. Please note that the standard water chamber is not dishwasher safe. However, the cleanable water chamber is top-rack dishwasher safe.

How often should I replace my AirSense 11 supplies?
The AirSense 11 tubing (heated and nonheated) and water chamber should be replaced every 6 months. The filter (standard and hypoallergenic) should be replaced every 6 months or more frequently if you have pets.

Does the AirSense 11 automatically adjust pressure?
Yes, when the AirSense 11 is set on AutoSet/AutoSet For Her mode, it will automatically adjust pressure throughout the night. Pressure adjustments will be limited within the set minimum and maximum pressure settings.

Does the AirSense 11 come with a SD card?
No, the AirSense 11 does not come with a SD card. The AirSense 11 sends summary and detailed therapy data to providers using cellular communication, so a SD card is not required for data transmission. The machine's internal storage can hold up to 365 days of summary data without a SD card. However, detailed data storage will require a SD card.

What are the differences between the ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP and the new AirSense 11?
The ResMed AirSense 11 offers improved Bluetooth connectivity and over-the-air software updates, as well as an AutoSet for Her mode. It also features full touchscreen navigation and a smaller, more streamlined design compared to the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet. A detailed comparison of the two AirSense models is available here .

Where is the AirSense 11 made?
The CPAP blower is made in Australia or Singapore. The power supply and travel bag are made in China.

I have been using CPAP therapy for nearly 10 years. I wanted to get a new CPAP as the manufacturer recommended replacing the CPAP every five years. I certainly do not want to get caught without a CPAP. The business I originally purchased from is now out of business and honestly, they we never very good at helping me. Thank you Respshop for your informative articles and Youtube videos! I am very grateful for the knowledge you have given me. It is liberating. I went to my doctor and discussed my wish for AUTO prescription with a range of pressures. I did not know the difference between a CPAP and an APAP machine before. Learning the technology provides the pressures that I need made perfect sense to me. Imagine a technology being able to use algorithms and respiration detection to provide the exact pressures. I have been "optimally treated" a term Respshop taught me, since I started using the Auto machine. Now I know I will always be receiving the right pressure. I used to worry about that. My doctor was happy to prescribe the Resmed Airsense 11 when we discussed APAP therapy because the Airsense 11 has both CPAP and APAP technologies! Amazing. My doctor wants this option in case he needs to switch me back and forth. It is like having two machines in one! Go get yourself an Airsense 11! You will be glad you did.

Disappointed in the quality and operation of the Resmed 11. I was a current user of the Resmed mini and after talking to rep at Respshop I thought this would be an upgrade. The 11 is bulky and requires distilled water refills every two days. The mini uses a humidex waterless humidifier that always worked great for me. Save a few dollars and space and get the mini instead.

I'm so sorry that you are not loving your AirSense 11! It is definitely a smaller machine than the AirSense 10 which it replaced, but you are right, nothing compares to the compactness of the AirMini.

I called Respshop after I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. My doctor told me I had severe obstructive sleep apnea and needed to use CPAP therapy in order to control the apneas that caused me to stop breathing. My doctor gave me a prescription for an Auto Cpap with pressures of 6cmH20 - 15cmH20. I was lucky to speak to a very informative customer service representative who is a Certified Polysomnographic technician! I was impressed to be able to speak to someone educated in the field of sleep. Respshop walked me through the different CPAPs that would be compatible to my prescribed pressures. I learned about all the pros and cons and settings of each. When Respshop explained the Remote Data Compliance service to me, I knew I wanted to purchase a CPAP with a built in modem. To be able to have this knowledgeable support available to me was very reassuring. Respshop will be able to view my data, evaluate and advise me about the data and even make changes to my settings remotely. I cannot wait to receive my new CPAP. Thank you Respshop.

If you have not had a sleep study, you may want to consider our In Home Sleep Study that is fast, safe and reliable.

If you have already had a sleep study and cannot find your prescription, you can use the RespRX service and schedule an appointment with an online sleep doctor.

I have had machine turned off but still feel air coming through the tube. It is not a rush of pressure like when I have my mask on but it is a gentle air, is this normal ?

After therapy has stopped, your device will blow a small amount of air to avoid condensation in the device and air tube. This will stop automatically after 20 minutes.

Can I purchase Airsense 11 in the US but use it in Asia? Will there be an issue with the voltage?

Hi there, you can use it in Asia as it supports the voltage there. 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. You will just need to make sure you have the correct adapter plug for the outlet as it is different than the US. The modem also will not work outside of the US. You can however have an SD card to collect the therapy data instead so that your physician can do a download.

I received a message from ResMed that they have not received any data from my CPAP machine for a couple of days. My machine is not on Airplane mode, is plugged in at all times, and is working fine. It does only show 1 bar in the internet scale, but is literally about 5 yards from the internet modem. Everything was being sent fine until about 5 days ago. Any suggestions?

What is significance of the blue flashing snowflake please? I have this when I wake up in the morning and turn off my machine,.is it a warning? When does it go away. Thanks for your help.

The snowflake just indicates the machine is in cool-down mode after you have shut it off. It can take anywhere from 5-25 mins for the cool down process. Let the machine cool down before unplugging from your wall outlet.
