The AirFit™ X30i tube-up oral nasal mask is designed for patients who breathe through their mouth and want freedom of movement with added stability.

How do I clean my X30i Mask and how often should I clean it?
Clean the cushion daily and the headgear, frame, and elbow weekly to prevent buildup of facial oils that can cause skin irritation. Fortunately, cleaning your mask takes just five minutes and can easily fit into your morning routine. Use warm, drinking-quality water (around 86°F / 30°C) and mild soap or baby shampoo. First, disconnect the mask from the device and disassemble it by unfastening the straps, removing the elbow, and unclipping the headgear. Gently wash each part in soapy water—avoid harsh cleaners—then rinse thoroughly and let the parts air-dry on a towel, away from direct sunlight. Refer to the user guide for complete instructions.
Why is the AirFit X30i mask cushion made from silicone material?
Most CPAP masks have silicone cushions because it’s a hypoallergenic material that’s soft, lightweight and allows for a stable, comfortable seal on your face while you’re sleeping. It’s important that you decide what’s most comfortable for you and your therapy when it comes to your mask cushion.

Takes a little to get used to but works like a nasal pillow so that some of pressurized air goes into the nasal passages. Also less dry mouth Being a mouth breather this one works really well

I have tried several different styles of masks. I ended up having dry mouth with most of them. I couldn’t tolerate the styles that fit over my nose due to a deviated septum. The AirFit X30i solved the dry mouth problem . The nasal pillows supply the air. If I try to breathe through my mouth, I breathe in the same warm and humid air as with the nasal pillows.

I really wanted to love the AirFit X30i because the airflow is honestly amazing. It gives a very open, natural breathing feel and completely eliminates that air hunger sensation. However, in my experience the mask struggled to stay secure at higher pressures and would shift or lift, especially with side sleeping. Also, if you tend to have mouth drop during sleep, this mask may not be the best fit. If ResMed offered multiple cushion size options to really dial in the fit, this mask would have serious top tier potential, but for me the stability issues were hard to ignore.

No matter how much I adjust it, I have massive leaks every night. I perform a fit test with each adjustment. It always indicates a great seal, but overnight I have leaks 30, 40 or higher than 50 liters per minute.

It's a great, comfortable mask. A litle bit quieter, than other masks, and the new type of elbow is very user friendly. The only problem is not provide me the expected good AHI values, the ResMed AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask making better values.

I have tried and tried but cannot get mask leaks down to an acceptable level. Was really hoping to move on from my F20 that I’ve been using (and hating) for 4 years but this is not the answer

I have had a couple of good nights with it and many not so good. Last night I was so frustrated with getting it to line up properly with both nostrils without leaking or causing facial pain I through it on the floor and slept without it. A few other nights have gone well. I am considering switching to full facial mask.

Good concept but has trouble sealing for me. If I stay on my back it works ok but if I roll to side the leaks start. Still trying to find correct tightness of straps but no success yet.

I have several coronary stents. This means NO magnets. My N30i and P30i are great but have over 50% Large Leaks. Is there a NON-Magnetic version of X30i available?

I keep having trouble with my nasal pillow slipping. Is there a way to keep it in place?

If the nasal pillow is slipping or leaking, it is usually related to fit or headgear tension. Make sure the pillow size is correct and that the mask is snug but not overly tight, since too much tension can actually cause it to shift during the night. Adjusting the straps while lying down can also help, as your face shape changes once you are in your sleeping position.
